I liked it, though didn’t love it as much as I thought I would; however, the last volume wrapped everything up perfectly/the way i wanted to, so I ended up liking it more overall, even though I was a tad bored in the middle…

The message of the story was probably my favorite part of it, big fan of how the author handled it: the way Yoohan started truly living instead of just existing, finding reasons to live, and finding his people and love along the way. It was great.

I was going to rate it around three stars at first but loved the ending, and to be honest, I’m a little sentimental since it was one of the first light novels I read like five years ago, so I bumped the rating up a little.

so this is for the whole series, but one of the few bls i’ve read where the ml is arrogant nd lowkey crazy, BUT ACTUALLY bearable ??? crazy right authors take notes smh

Ngl, I didn’t expect this series to be that good… but it impressed me so much. It was also very refreshing that there wasn’t just sex every two seconds.

Also, the ending? I really enjoyed it. It shows that, while you may think suicide is the only option, you are loved by somebody and you will be missed by somebody.

Como hacer una dark novel, con elementos tóxicos y duros pero sin que eso signifique que la pareja sea tóxica en plan mal y/o se traten fatal y abuso.

just reread this for the third time this year and realized it was on here - literally my favorite bl of all time. yoohan is just such an excellent character with so much depth, which is really refreshing. payback is at its core a very existential story that makes you confront what the purpose of life really is and question why any of us continues to live, and yoohan's constant confrontation with life and its meaning is just so beautifully executed. such an emotional story and just so incredibly clever in every aspect - not one question left unanswered and every line is so intentional. also yoon jay is the ML to end all MLs I love him so much

I didn’t expect to like this series nearly as much as I did, but it really surprised me in the best way. I appreciated that it didn’t rely on constant shock or sex to hold my attention. The story had space to develop which made everything feel more meaningful.

The reason why this is volume is 3 stars is because it involves the side stories which I did not really care about but they were nice to read. Overall I would give the series a solid 4/5 - 8.5/10

como se me puede olvidar escribir una reseña final.

Este manhwa superó mis expectativas, pq pensaba que es de los típicos que no hay desarrollo de los personajes y es solo escenas de placeres terrenales(you know)

pero me gusto muchísimo la trama, y sobre todo la manera en que los protagonistas se convierten en el refugio mutuo. Súper bonito el estilo artístico y no por comparar, creo que es uno de los mejores Manhwas que he leido(tampoco soy la experta pero bueno)
