The moment I started reading this, I could not put this book down. It truly encompasses everything I’ve loved about mafia romance. You have Adrian your broody, asshole-ish, & fine self who becomes obsessed with our beautiful fmc Kiara the moment he sees her in a club. From then on he has one mission… to claim her as his. I love how this book intertwined bits of cartel, insight, two Kiara’s life as a business owner, family & friendships, and most importantly the love story. I would consider this a fast burn, but I loved every moment of it, both of these characters know they are falling and falling fast, but love to deny it. I love an overprotective and obsessive MMC like Adrian and I love books like this that highlight how beautiful not only curvy girls are but black women in general. He always praised her beauty and made her feel nothing but desired and loved. I am also so happy that Adrian was able to find someone to calm his demons and to be a person that he can truly be himself with; letting go of the mask and façade he tends to showcase. Can’t wait to finish this series Miss Asia you ate.

So boom—our leading man is heir to a crime family. One night at the club, he spots this baddie and thinks he’s about to shoot his shot. But sis has one too many drinks and ends up sick. Instead of being a jerk about it, he holds her hair, makes sure she gets back to her friends, and just like that—he’s obsessed.
Next day, he pulls up on someone who just bought a building that sits on his family’s territory. The old owner owed them money, so now that debt belongs to the new one. Guess who the new owner is? Yep—shorty from the club. He’s shook. She’s mad. She’s like, “I’ll get you your money.” But this man? He hits her with the, “Forget the money. I want you.”
Y’all. This man is so unhinged he literally chases her down the street, throws her in his car, takes her out to eat, and then snuggles her to sleep like a menace in love.
