On the 24th of October 1998, Hannah Marsden walked out of the White Horse public house and vanished. Despite extensive searches, police appeals, and national media coverage, no trace of her is found and Hannah’s family are forced to accept that they might never find out what happened to her.
Until, in 2023, Hannah comes home.
But this is not the reunion her family had hoped for. Hannah hasn’t aged a day since she disappeared, and she is certain that she has only been gone for one night. To begin with, her family can only accept what she says, but Hannah knows things. She says things that nobody else can make sense of. She can do things that normal people can’t.
Hannah becomes as determined as the rest of her family to find answers, to discover how a quarter of a century passed her by without notice. The solution is inside her somewhere, she knows it. She only has to remember.

Liz Harrison truly surprised me with this book. As a local author, her stories need to be read by a much larger audience. The novel starts out as a mystery book but touches on a number of different genres.

The story centres around a missing girl who shows up after 25 years. I enjoyed seeing Hannah's and her family's perspective detailing the 25 years apart.

The character's individual abilities and strengths were showcased throughout the book and each added to the plot to make it a well rounded story. I think the only thing that could have been touched on more was the reasons why the web was created in the first place. It briefly mentions this in the book but would have liked more from Ruby's life before the web here.
