Temperance: The First Six Trials
Start from the beginning...
Temperance had spent centuries as a Guardian Angel, using her powers of bestowing balance, calm, and confidence to her wards—witches known as Sentinels with a special calling for helping others.
All that changes one night when she misjudges a situation and responds too late to safely lead her ward, Sarah, from a fire after the Sentinel had rushed in to save an innocent. Tragically, both died.
As punishment, Temperance is cast down by her Legion Commander, Malachi, and tasked to prove her worth by completing seven "trials by fire" as she travels across country on foot.
But according to Malachi, not all fires burn. Whatever that means.
If she succeeds, she earns back her wings.
If not...
Well, she's not going to think about that.
Join Temperance as she faces her first six trials where she encounters everything from possessed hotels, to dangerous supernatural creatures, to some not so very nice humans.

Loved them all!!! Strongly recommend this book, and at just .99 it's a STEAL.
Temperance and the Montgomery
A great starting point, if you’re stumbling on Temperance’s novellas out of order; this one sort of sets the world Temperance has found herself in and explains some background. It comes with a bit of mystery and the reader sort of gets to figure it out as they go—much like Temperance. She’s likeable and there’s a bit of humor inserted into the dialogue and inner dialogue. I recommend reading this … and I’m dying for more trials!

Second Trial: Temperance and the Darkness
This one’s really interesting with an unexplained evil afoot. We meet some great secondary characters and Temperance is still figuring out this living-as-a-human thing so there’s humor as well. Very well written, a fun way to spend about an hour or less. Can’t wait for the next trial!

Third Trial: Temperance and the Pack
This installment brings Temperance down south, packs a new, adorable companion and lots of excitement.
It’s a tough choice—they’ve all been epic—but I believe this is my favorite so far due to the graphic violence. There’s just one scene that gets a bit gruesome but the author didn’t spare any details.
I appreciated the author keeping it real and found it made the world overall more plausible for me. Well played.

AH!
I loved this installment, so much ... well, I've loved all of them so far and each leaves me completely wanting more. This one feels like it's setting up for some bigger things on the horizon and I cannot wait to watch them unfold.

Non-stop action, several mysteries, adventure and … so much fun!
Once again, brilliant writing and vivid scenes—this entire world is completely epic.
