I’m bought by the black ops wolf I hate, and forced to marry him… He makes derogatory comments about my looks and how I’m unable to shift. But when I run away from him in tears, I’m kidnapped and put on an auction block. Now my voluptuous curves and my virginity are for sale…and he’s the one who buys them.
The last thing I want is to be owned, but all I can do is watch as he pays for me. The last thing I want is to marry him, but they drag me up on stage and perform the ceremony. The next thing I know he claims me officially, creating a permanent bond between us. And I swear that as soon as I get the chance, I will have the bond broken.
Yet a claiming bond proves to be intense and gets stronger over time. It makes me want his possessive touch caress my most vulnerable of places. It makes me crave his strong body all over my full curves. We should refrain, because the closer we are, the stronger the bond gets…
Will my mate ever let me go?
The Silver Wolves Black Ops have only three rules to live find a mate, protect her no matter the cost, and create babies. They don’t compromise, they don’t get distracted, and they never, ever give up, even when you beg them to.
Ruby lives on a farm with her two daughters and husband. Besides horses, chickens, and a donkey, she sometimes imagines that there are other types of animals on her farm, too... Animals that turn into Very Hot Men at night to look for their mates... Whenever that happens, she turns to her computer and writes down the paranormal love stories of these rough Wolf, Bear, and Dragon shifters who will destroy any obstacle to protect their mate. Come and enjoy the steamy, suspenseful, and slightly sweaty adventures of Ruby's shifter romance world.
We learn about Thea with Rand and Astrid's story. She is an absent (unable to fully shift) I love how she eventually learn she doesn't need to keep proving herself. That she is strong even though she isn't able to shift. She has lots more going for her than she thought. I love her compassion and wanting to help, even though it does mean exposing herself to danger. Thea is defiant. Tannen , what can I say. His comment at the beginning of the story sets the stage for his and Thea's unlikely relationship. He keeps going from the pan into the fire with his comments and opinions about Thea. I love how he becomes protective even though he doesn't know why. Damien is ruthless and thought he had covered all of the angles. He was so wrong when it came to those two especially Thea. See above - defiant. Action from page one. Steam to the eventual romance. This is definitely a enemy to lovers story. And of course the perfect HEA. Who will be next to get their story told? I can't wait . I received a free ARC copy of this book via Bookfunnel and am voluntarily leaving y review.
Thea is an absent, a shifter with a wolf but who is unable to shift. She had feelings for Tannen until she overheard him speaking about her, saying she was nearer a human than a wolf. Since then, she has tried to avoid him. Tannen has a reputation of being a play boy, he has no intention of settling for one woman. When he and Thea have a disagreement, she runs off into the woods. When he eventually goes to find her, he cannot. When he eventually finds her scent, it leads to an auction and there is ony one way to save her, but she does not make it easy for him. I really enjoyed this story: Thea is a strong woman and constantly surprises Tanner who starts to see her in a new light, but evil is stalking them and will not give up easily. I voluntarily received and reviewed an ARC copy of the book.
Thea had been kidnapped before in Astrid's book. Now Astrid and Thea live in the pack of Astrid's mate. Her mate's best friend is Tanen.
Thea has a wolf inside herself but can't shift, which is called "Absent." Things are going well in the new pack. She gets along well with Astrid's mate and Tanen, until she overhears Tanen saying that an Absent is nothing more than a human and he feels sorry for Thea. After that, she ends their friendly banter.
Eventually, she says something to Tanen about how she likes her new pack because "most" wolves in this pack don't have a problem with Absents. He realizes that she thinks HE has a problem with her. So she confronts him, and he says all the wrong things, like "Where's the lie? It's true," basically.
She goes for a run in the woods to get away from him and gets kidnapped by sex traffickers.
Tanen is a tracker, but by the time he finds her, she's being auctioned, so all he can do is bid. The auction requires him to put the claiming mark on her before they leave the auction, to prevent him from telling the authorities about the auction, because then he'd have to risk being separated from his mate by the authorities. He puts the bite on her but intends to find a way to undo it. But will they end up falling for each other because of the bond?
