Alisha Dutta is the second eldest of her siblings and an aspiring journalist, who isn’t one for adventure, but for her career to progress, she’ll step outside of her comfort box- a two-week skiing holiday to heal from her recent break-up in the small town of Ischgl, Austria doesn’t sound too bad, right? Especially with her best friend Ophelia, who wants nothing but the best for her. The last thing she expects is to meet Felix Bauer, a mysterious, intriguing man who has a difficult time opening up to people.
Felix Bauer was left at the altar six months ago, and ever since then he swore he will never fall in love again. He has lived in Austria all his life, currently working for a travel agency, and is unable to make room for anyone else in his busy lifestyle. That is, until Alisha crashes head-over-heels into him on a ski slope- will she be able to thaw the ice in his heart and allow him to trust again?
Alisha and Felix bring out the best in one another, but is this just a fling or much more? Every holiday romance has to come to an end…. Or does it?

Thank you to Kacey Sophia for giving me the opportunity to be *an alpha reader* for Resort to Romance in exchange for an honest review.
Alisha, an aspiring journalist, embarks on a two-week skiing trip to Ischgl, Austria. There, she meets Felix, a reserved and intriguing man. Their lives take an unexpected turn when Alisha literally crashes into him on a ski slope. As they spend time together, they bring out the best in each other.
As I dove into Resort to Romance, I was eager to see how Alisha would balance her career and romantic life. According to the synopsis, she is in Austria for work, and both she and Felix have faced tough times in their love lives.
I enjoyed watching each character’s personality bloom throughout the book, especially Felix’s! We get to see what he went through in his younger years, how it affected him, and how he deals with it in his daily life. As for Alisha, I appreciated how the book portrayed her struggles with anxiety and its impact on her.
The side characters were a delightful addition, bringing humor and a special touch to the story. Their funny thoughts and ideas added depth to the main characters and the book as a whole.
Kacey Sophia’s description of Ischgl was immersive, making the reader feel as if they were there. It wasn’t just about snowy landscapes; we also got to explore other parts of Ischgl and its surroundings, which was a fun way to learn more about the setting.
Thank you Kacey and swipethebookpr for letting me read this book early in exchange for an honest review 🩷
The story centers on Alisha Dutta, an aspiring journalist nursing a broken heart. Seeking solace, she escapes to a two-week skiing holiday in the hope of finding peace in the snow. But life, as we know, has a way of surprising us. On the icy slopes, she crosses paths with Felix Bauer, a man whose heart has been hardened by past betrayals. Once left at the altar, Felix has sworn off love—but fate has other plans.
The pacing and writing were spot on, making this such an enjoyable read! I really loved this one.
I loved watching each character’s personality evolve throughout the book, especially Felix’s! We get a glimpse into his past, understanding the events that shaped him and how they continue to influence his life. As for Alisha, I really appreciated how the book thoughtfully depicted her struggles with anxiety and its profound effect on her daily experiences.
Alisha was such a wonderful supportive, caring, and truly one of a kind. Felix definitely deserved more, and he found that in Alisha. I loved how both characters supported each other so deeply throughout their journey.
I am in love with the story of Alisha and Felix..they are so swoony 💗 Alisha, an aspiring journalist embarks on a trip to Austria and there she meets Felix, a reserved man while she is skiing. She crashed into him and their beautiful journey starts ❄️ I loved the setting of the book. Austria sounds so amazing during winter ✨ Their characters' arcs are written perfectly and I loved seeing their characters grow especially Felix. I loved how Kacey has represented mental health in the book and how Felix paved his way through his difficult childhood🫂 Their cute and swoony romance was everything. I dont want to spoil anything for readers so I will stop here 🤭 If you love: ⛷️ Heartfelt mental health representation ❄️ A hero left at the altar but not giving up on love ⛷️ A cross-cultural romance with South Asian vibes ❄️ Grumpy x Sunshine perfection ⛷️ An Austrian ski resort setting that's totally swoon-worthy ❄️ Spicy scenes to heat up your winter nights ⛷️ Dual POV goodness ❄️ And no third-act break-up! Pick this book this holiday season, you won't regret it!
Thank you so much @swipethebook.pr and @kaceysophia for the ARC! ✨
I picked this up at the start of the month, and even after finishing it weeks ago, it still hasn’t left on my mind. This book had everything that I loved-adventure, food and romance. Alisha is an aspiring journalist who meets Felix while she’s on a work trip/vacation. From the moment they met each other, you can feel their chemistry through the pages.
The characters were so relatable and charming but I found myself resonating with Alisha the most. Watching her come out of her shell and explore everything around her made made reading this book even more enjoyable for me. Felix was such a softie underneath his grumpy exterior. The way he’s so protective of the people he loves is so admirable and heartwarming to read about. There were times where I just wanted to give him a hug after everything he’d been through.
The family friendship dynamics were so well written, and the way Austria was described made me feel like I was there with the characters, enjoying the views and the food. I loved seeing the characters grow and get the happy ending they deserved.
If you’re looking for a cute, cosy and light-hearted read for the holidays, then you should definitely pick this up.
I loved reading Alisha & Felix's story. It's a perfect read for this season. I loved how fast paced and easy going it was. The cover of the book screams love and it was exactly that . Filled with all kinds of love. Beautiful friendships, beautiful bond between siblings and families this book had everything. I really loved how Ophelia was so supportive of Alisha. I loved loved loved and adored the both of them 🫶🏻. And Mira too. Her and Felix although being through so much were so strong. And Alisha and Felix were secret hopeless romantics which made me connect to them more as I am one myself. They learned so much from each other and grew so much together. I think that was what the author was trying to portray " love which makes you grow " and I loved every single line of it. I wanted to know more about Zane ( Alisha's older brother ). He seems so protective and so loving at the same time 🫣 and ofcourse how can I forget about the cat Chou 🥹 he has my whole heart !!! If there is a cat in the book you know I'm going to love it and I really did enjoy reading the book. It reminded me of " How to lose a guy in 10 days " but with less drama ( the last scene )and I loved every bit of it. And God the bath tub scene 😩. WOW. I won't spoil anything here. Go and read the book !!
Gave up at 10%. Unfortunately, this one wasn’t for me. The writing was overly descriptive, with paragraph after paragraph about how each character looked and what they did for a living. It felt weighed down by filler, and everything was told rather than shown. I just can’t make myself read any more books like that. The style really didn’t suit my taste.
Resort to romance is a captivating steamy, heartwarming holiday romance that celebrates love and hope. Rediscover the magic of picturesque landscape and swoon-worthy romance.
The story follows Alisha Dutta, a journalist who is asked by her boss to take a two week paid vacation to a small, quaint little town of Ischgl, Austria. She needs to write an article and this should be a great initiative since she just had a nasty break-up. So, packing up her bags and being accompanied by her best friend, Ophelia, Alisha settles in for a hopefully cosy, relaxed time of her life.
Then we meet Felix Bauer. He was trying to step into the real world after the incident where he was left, standing single and alone on the altar. He has promised to never fall in love again and suffer another heartbreak. However fate seems to have other plans for him.
Meeting Ali was unexpected but something shifted in Felix's heart. As Ali and Felix encounter leads to a rather comforting chain of events, they cannot deny the mutual attraction they felt. But Alisha is supposed to go back after her two week vacation, will this be a just holiday romance or maybe there's more to it?
I loved this book! That's the first sentence I came up with after finishing my reading. The story's pace is engaging with fast-paced narration. Both the protagonists were equivalently responsible for breaking the walls they have built around their hearts and it was truly heartwarming. Their romance was sizzling and steamy, with an undeniable passion and pleasure igniting their moments. Trust me, I had plenty of giggle out loud moments while reading this book.
The representation of mental health and stepping out of the box were profoundly resonating and the author didn't discount it. It's one of many aspects that I appreciated earlier on in this storyline. This book is a warm, comforting hug that I enjoyed wholeheartedly. I literally stayed up all night smiling and blushing, swooning over their relationship dynamics and the way they comforted each other when there were certain events that peeped into one of the protagonist's life. There was a solid character development throughout the book which made it absolutely realistic, realisations of their true emotions and choices. This book will stay on my mind, it's definitely a memorable read.
This book deserves a spot in the reading list as it is the perfect read for the holidays.
Resort to Romance is a delightful indie read that brings two people together for a fresh chance at romance!
Based in Austria, a journalist from England with an opportunity for her big break experiences a classic meet-cute run-in with a brooding and handsome local at the ski slopes.
As they both move past relationship traumas to come together in a spicy and comfortable new romance, you get to know both the FMC and MC as passionate and caring individuals.
One thing that I truly enjoyed and found genuinely refreshing was how loving and supporting the extended family dynamics were. Felix had a rough start to life but the unconditional love and support of his aunt, cousins and sister was so incredibly lovely. And seeing how Alishia came from a big family, but a family that supported and encouraged her is something I think we all need more of!
I also can never get enough of bonded and united female friendship which was so great to see between Alisha and Olivia.
A few notes on the writing style. The flow wasn't something I'm typically used to. There were times where the language and grammar felt overly formal and lost a but of the realism. The descriptors could also seem somewhat repetitive and there was a certain polish that may have been missing. This isn't to say it's not well written, so please take this with a grain of salt as it may be my own preference or interpretation.
Also, I typically am not a fan of spice (there is only 1 series I've found where I've genuinely enjoyed it), so I am not going to comment on the spicy scenes or dialogue since I may not be the best audience for it.
Lastly, for my chidlfree followers, a desire for children plays a role throughout the narrative for both characters. Not saying there is anything wrong with that! But I know for the childfree community it may not resonate the way it's intended.
Overall it was a fun, easy, indie read that is great for romance season!
I'm feeling so happy & fulfilled after reading this beautiful book. My heart is filled with so many emotions at the moment that I can't even begin to express. 🙇🏻♀️
From the start, the book captivates you so deeply you wouldn't even realize how fast you read it through. The way storyline & characters develops along with each other is so beautifully written. 🤌🏻
Our MC’s, Alisha and Felix are such beautiful characters inside-out. For me, it's the way their love story started and progressed throughout the book, while they were also trying to deal with personal insecurities and how they overcame each one of them, by supporting & by being present their for each other, no matter how tough it would have been, because with the right person everything works out. 💜
Not only their love story but the bed chem, they have is also so HOT. From the start, there was this sizzling hotness in the room whenever they were together. 🔥🙊
This book is the perfect representation of, "If he wanted to, he will!"
They started as strangers but ended up being each other's soulmates. And the journey they went through is a beautiful one to read & experience. 💜✨️
Not just their love, but all the cultural references of Austria and Indian culture was so beautiful represented in the book that I'm surely looking is up. 🤭
All I can say, it's a must read if you like romance which silently heals a part of your broken heart. Thank you, Kacey for writing this beautiful love story and bringing them to life.❤️🩹
I would like to thank Swipe The Book PR for providing me the opportunity to ARC read this beautiful book. I'm beyond grateful. 💜
This is such a sweet and heartwarming love story about Alisha and Felix that I couldn’t put down!
Alisha, a South Asian journalist, gets a chance to visit Ishychl for a magazine feature. And that’s where she (literally) bumps into Felix in a totally-not-cliché meet-cute. Felix has been in love with everything about Ishychl since he was a kid, so their worlds couldn’t be more different.
As fate would have it, their paths keep crossing, and soon enough, their hearts get tangled up too. But there’s a catch—Alisha’s trip has an expiration date, and Felix just landed a new job in Ishychl, so moving isn’t an option for him. It’s bittersweet watching their story unfold as they try to navigate what their connection really means.
What I loved most was how cozy and simple the writing felt—it perfectly matched my holiday romance mood. The setting was *chef’s kiss*, and don’t even get me started on their little hot chocolate dates and those subtle, meaningful gestures. Alisha’s South Asian roots and her family’s dynamics hit so close to home—it was so refreshing and relatable to see that representation.
If you’re craving a cozy, lighthearted holiday romance, trust me, this book is the perfect pick!
Alisha heads to Austria to a town called Ischgl. Alisha has to write an article on the town. She goes with her friend Ophelia, who is bubbly and outgoing, where Alisha is more reserved and doesn't like change. Alisha takes skiing lessons to get the full experience of Austria. Where she accidentally bumps into Felix.
Felix is super grumpy at first and is struggling with life due to a break up, a job he doesn't enjoy, and he still holds a lot of pain from his mum leaving at a young age.
Alisha and Felix can't fight the pull that they feel and are very attracted to each other. Alisha helps heal Felix, and Felix helps Alisha get her full experience from Austria, showing her the best places, restaurants, and much more.
I loved the cosy feel to Austria and hearing about the food etc. I definitely craved hot chocolate after reading this 😂
It’s a treat to enjoy a book with a plot/trope I have seldom had the chance to read. Alisha, a journalist, travels to Austria for work with a friend, and meets Felix. Their connection was immediate and the way they developed their relationship, opened up to each other (things got spicy!) and helped each other with internal hurdles was entertaining and kept my interest. The “go on a vacation and meet your soulmate” trope was endearing and cozy. I enjoyed that their story was told in first person in both their PoV, and the way the setting with the scenery, imagery and culture references were written was exquisite-makes me want to travel to a ski resort in Austria now (and meet my soulmate!). Thanks to the author and Swipe the Book PR for an advanced copy.
I devoured 'Resort to Romance' in one sitting, completely swept up in Alisha and Felix's winter wonderland romance. The author's writing is engaging and effortless, making it easy to become fully invested in the characters' lives. Alisha's determination and Felix's vulnerability made them relatable and endearing, and their chemistry was undeniable. The Austrian setting was vividly described, making me feel like I was right there with them on the snowy slopes. While the story didn't necessarily break new ground in the romance genre, it was a delightfully entertaining read that left me feeling warm and fuzzy inside. If you're looking for a light, fun, and romantic read to cozy up with, Resort to Romance is an excellent choice. 4.25/5 stars
Super sweet, super cute and super cozy. Pick up this holiday romance if you like ski resorts, friendships and men who fall hard. Really like the south Asian representation and honestly loved how both characters moved from the hurt of their past relationships and found eachother.
(ARC read Thank you Kacey and Swipethebookpr) It didn’t take me long at all to really get into this story, I loved the aspect of close family right away and I love how strong Ali is even if she doesn’t see it. This story was super cute and really had me in the feels. This is a great read for anytime of year but felt really cozy reading it while there was snow on the ground.
this book is a perfect romance book for holidays 🤭. This story is about Alisha, who is a journalist, went to Ischgl to write an article about her experience and Felix, who is working in ischgl in a travel agency. Both heartbroken (iykyk) person crash into each other life (literally 🤭) and how they start their journey. The story, the tension, the spice is perfect in this book🤍.
Alisha and Felix now both hold a special place in my heart💕 🥹. ps: please i want a Felix, he is so gentleman 😭❤
“The universe has its way of connecting two people together, two souls that had endured so much pain and heartbreak.”
Reading about all the skiing and snow has me in a constant mood for hot chocolate now. Felix and Alisha’s story was such a fun one to follow. I absolutely loved that they didn’t have to battle misunderstandings or even have to endure a third act breakup! Thank you, truly!!
Alisha and Felix, I hope you get all the love you deserve and a lot more!
Okay, my favorite thing about this book is its setting in Ischgal, Austria. The landscape is just beautiful, and the author portrays it beautifully.
Tropes: Holiday Read, Grumpy- Sunshine, Close proximity, Introverted shy girl, mental health rep.
Felix is the greenest flag, I liked him so much. Their love is just heartwarming to read. Another thing I like is the female friendships which are endearing. Felix’s family is the cutest. Alisha’a is the one I can relate to the most her family is so supportive of her it’s just amazing.
However I felt the conversations between Felix & Alisha too formal like I couldn’t feel it as easy flowing.
Looking for a holiday cozy romance with strong main leads then look no more because this is the book you need to leave every other to read right about now. The cozy festival of the year- Christmas is loved by everyone and not only because of the gifts but also the holidays and sweet treats we get to eat at this time of the year. I especially love winters and specifically this time when its too cold outside to go and you just need a good hot cup of coffee and a cozy romance read and blankets to let your day be beautiful. I mean there are many such books but this book will keep you hooked as there is no third party breakup, no misunderstandings and definitely no angst. This is the story of Alisha who is a budding journalist and also extremely introvert who doesn’t like to go outside much(just like me). She is asked by her boss to go on a vacation to Austria in order to write an article about her experience there, she doesn’t want to go but she knows that this can be a crucial point in her career, so she reluctantly agree to go there with her best and only friend, Ophilia who loves skiing and alisha doesn’t know skiing but decides to learn after reaching there. She meets a man with thick Austrian accent, Felix and feel the attraction immediately but is scared to confess because of her ex who cheated on her with her friend and still tries to get in her life. On the other hand, Felix had the same fate in love so he doesn’t accept his feelings too. But he makes the first move to ask her on a date and there story starts. Felix is literally man of every girl’s dreams for real. I mean you are going to fall in love with him when they start pursuing . the way he respects, cares and loves everyone around him is the literal standard. Many times while reading I find main characters annoying at some point maybe just for a fluttering second but with this book I agreed with each and every decision they made regarding each other. I understood why and what they were feeling throughout the story and their healing process healed me too. They made me feel like I was also part of their story which made me love them more. Read and find out how they healed each other and themselves together and at the same time loved and respected the time taken by other person to fully open up to each other.
Heartwarming holiday read that offers a delightful blend of culture, romance, and personal growth.
Alisha Dutta, an aspiring journalist, embarks on a two-week skiing holiday in Ischgl, Austria, to recover from a recent break-up. Accompanied by her best friend Ophelia, she expects a relaxing getaway, but her plans take an unexpected turn when she meets Felix Bauer, a man still nursing the wounds of being left at the altar. Despite his vow to never love again, Felix finds himself drawn to Alisha. As their connection deepens, they begin to bring out the best in each other, but with both hesitant to fully open up, the question remains—will their holiday romance turn into something lasting, or will it fade with the snow?
This book is not just a love story—it's a travel article in disguise, showcasing Ischgl’s culture, diverse cuisine, and lively markets. The setting is so richly described that readers will feel as if they're walking through the snow-covered streets, savoring local delicacies, and skiing down the scenic slopes.
The beauty lies in its multicultural layers. From Austria and England to India and Scotland, the book seamlessly integrates multiple cultures and languages, enhancing the experience. The characters, Alisha and Felix, come from different backgrounds, with Alisha fluent in Hindi and Felix speaking German. This diversity adds a unique dimension to their interactions and brings a depth to the storyline that makes it more than just a typical romance.
Alisha and Felix's characters are expertly crafted with depth and complexity. Both have been through their share of emotional turmoil, having faced toxic relationships that have left them wary of love. However, the chemistry between them is undeniable, and their journey of healing together is beautifully portrayed. Their romance is the perfect mix of cheesy clichés and open-door spice. The dates they plan for one another are incredibly romantic. The pacing of their major milestones makes it a satisfying whirlwind romance with heartwarming resolutions.
In short, Resort to Romance is a perfect cozy holiday read. It offers a beautiful escape into the world of Ischgl, filled with snow, romance/spice, and the magic of new beginnings.
I finished this book in one sitting. That's how good this book was 😭. This book right here is a FAIRYTALE ✨✨🎀
The events in the book take place over the span of two weeks, when Alisha and her best friend, Ophelia, have to go to Austria to write an article about Austrian culture. There she bumps Felix who is quite grumpy at their first interaction. The entire book is about how they both quickly fall in love with each other and just cannot live without the other.
This was my first holiday romance and it's safe to say I might re-read it soon.
The characters were quite relatable from page one. I really liked Alisha's character (and her cat too). I could relate with her over being an introvert and having anxiety. Also the fact she was so passionate about writing was something to read. Her being Indian, made me happier to read it. Her family was very supportive for a Indian family. Again the bond and the love everyone had for each other was something to be cherished.
Ophelia definitely is a girl's girl 😩. She was so supportive of Alisha throughout the book. Need a bestie like her.
I absolutely LOVE Felix. I love him more because he has hazel eyes, and I absolutely adore people with hazel eyes. He's my new book bf. I found Felix the most relatable. He was such an adorable guy with his nervousness. He went a lot in his past and seriously hats off to him for being so strong. Mira wasn't anything less. She and Felix has a bond that many siblings died to have. It was something very heart touching. It didn't matter who was older or who was younger.
Alisha and Felix had a really quick relationship development. They went from strangers to lovers in the span of two weeks, but nothing felt like it was being rushed. All the more I was rooting for them both to get together asap. Felix was such a romantic (totally my type) and so was Alisha (totally me). I really loved the scene where Felix cooked Indian cuisine for her 🥹. One thing I know about them is that they love to surprise each other, and come on who wouldn't. Felix speaking German was a cherry on top for me because I love MMC who speak a different language 🫶. And the spice is something you should see for yourself 🫠. Ooof they really couldn't get enough of the other
✨✨HE RAN TO SEE HER IN A SNOW STORM ✨✨ Because he couldn't drive in the snow and roads were blocked so he went to her place by walk, soooo normal right 😭😭😭 . Alisha and Felix will be the ideal couple goals for me from now on. They are amazing 🤩 their characters are the most honest, sweet and loveliest I read. I like how the author didn't go into writing the regular "boy should ask first, strong stubborn boy, miscommunication" troupe. But this felt so true and realistic which made me fall in love with this story even more. They have genuine reactions and feelings for each other. The way they both embrace each other, while giving them the support they need and also being there for them when they are needed. It's like they found a safe space in each other ❤️ . Not just Felix and Alisha the entire book is a gem, each and every character is so well written and I liked every character. The story and plot, their friendship, relationships, growth of their story, every thing was perfect 💕 . I love how Felix made her an Indian three course Meal for her on their date. Each and every scene of them warmed my heart and they felt so perfect for each other. It never felt like they were jur been together for two weeks. It's not like insta lust kind of story, their feelings grew genuinely and the pace felt right and justified. The dates, the ski lessons, the cosy indoor moments and the heated spicy scenes everything made me squeal giggle and laugh my heart out and those emotional moments tugged at my heart ❤️🩹 . This book is amazing for all the right reasons, If a book has NO THRID ACT BREAKUP, it is an instant yes for me. I was impressed by the author for not letting it happen when the plot has a lot of chances of it going there, I am happy that they stood stronger and together in tough times instead of moving away from each other. It felt real and honest to me 💯 . If you are looking for a cosy, comforting, happy, giggly, and warm hug feels kinda book, this is it. This is the book for you. I am so glad I read it, the whole time while reading it I had a huge smile on my face. 😃
If you're looking for a holiday romance filled with heart, charm, and the magic of new beginnings, Resort to Romance by Kacey Sophia is the perfect pick! 🌟
The story takes us to the stunning slopes of Ischgl, Austria, where Alisha Dutta, a journalist recovering from heartbreak, and Felix Bauer, a local still reeling from being left at the altar, cross paths in the most unexpected way. From their first collision (literally!) to their journey of healing and love, their chemistry is undeniable.
Kacey Sophia masterfully balances steamy, swoon-worthy moments with heartfelt emotional depth. Alisha and Felix's growth—both as individuals and as a couple—was beautifully portrayed. I especially loved how their relationship was built on mutual trust and support, with each helping the other confront their fears and rediscover hope.
The pacing of the story was spot-on, making it a quick yet thoroughly engaging read. Alisha’s inner struggles with anxiety were depicted with nuance and authenticity, while Felix’s journey of learning to trust again added a layer of vulnerability to his character that was hard not to adore. And can we talk about the little details? From the warmth of Alisha’s best friend Ophelia to the cozy, snow-draped setting, everything about this book screamed comfort and romance.
And yes, Felix is the epitome of a gentleman—someone who knows how to melt hearts even in the coldest of winters. 💕 If I could, I’d book a one-way ticket to Ischgl just to meet someone like him!
The only reason I didn’t give it a full five stars was that I wanted to know a bit more about some of the side characters, like Zane (Alisha’s brother), who definitely intrigued me. But considering this is part of The Duttas series, I’m hoping we’ll see more of him soon!
Overall, Resort to Romance is a warm, cozy, and utterly delightful holiday read. Perfect for curling up with a hot chocolate and letting your heart melt alongside Alisha and Felix’s story. Highly recommend! ❄️❤️
Huge thanks to @swipethebook.pr and @KaceySophia for the opportunity to read this ARC!

This book isn’t just a holiday romance; it’s a cozy, heartwarming journey about healing, trust, and second chances.
Alisha Dutta, an aspiring journalist, heads to Austria for a two-week skiing holiday to recover from a painful breakup. The chemistry between Alisha and Felix? Absolutely electric! 🔥 Their dynamic felt so real and raw, with both characters bringing out the best in each other. I adored watching Felix’s grumpy exterior melt away to reveal his soft, protective side. Alisha, on the other hand, stole my heart with her vulnerability and determination to step out of her comfort zone.
What stood out for me was how the book tackled themes of mental health. Felix’s journey through heartbreak and Alisha’s struggles with anxiety were portrayed so sensitively and realistically—it added so much depth to their characters. And let’s not forget the hilarious and heartwarming side characters, especially Alisha’s best friend Ophelia, who added the perfect dash of humor and warmth.

OMG! I LOVE THIS BOOK!! Green flag MMC? Green flag FMC? THIS IS A GREEN FLAG BOOK. All the love and laughs, no misunderstandings, no breakups. (bad past relationships were there, but it doesn’t matter when you find the right one eventually, right?!)
Alisha, an aspiring journalist went on a work trip to Ischgl, Austria. She was having a ski lesson when she bumped into a gorgeous man, Felix.
They had two weeks together and they made the most out of it and fell in love (time doesn’t matter in love, right?! And I can say it with confidence because I have had the same luck in love, so I could relate max to it)
The things I loved (tho I liked the whole book) - All the characters, Felix, Alisha, Mira (Felix’s sister) and Ophelia (Alisha’s bestf) are really nice. - The way Ophelia supported Alisha throughout the trip and understood her wanting to spend time with Felix, every single time, was so heartwarming. - Alisha’s family was so supportive and loving. - It has bits of India, it’s food and culture so that’s a bonus for me. I can’t tell you the number of times I had cravings for the food mentioned in the book. - The date Alisha planned for Felix (with Mira and Ophelia’s help, SO CUTE)
*Not something from the book* - I got to know that Kacey, the author, actually wrote this book from some of her experiences, like, she went to Ischgl, Austria, learned how to ski (so did Alisha). The conversation Alisha and Ophelia had with an Amercian man on the cable car was same as what Kacey had, all these little things made me connect with the book more. It’s really nice to know that, although it’s fiction but it had a touch of reality too.
I seriously loved this book. If you’re looking for something lovey dovey, cute, romantic with bits of comedy, a light read that will fill your heart with love and contentment, this is it and it’s very well written, so you’ll connect with it in seconds.
It’s coming out on 20th December and I’m so excited for y’all to read it!! (It’s the first in The Duttas Series, so there’ll be more, yaaayy)
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.5 🌶️🌶️🌶️

The amount of fun chemistry these two characters shared with each other is an understatement to say the least. Words do not do this book justice on how this couple was made for each other from the start. The start of this book gave all the snowy and winter feelings of reading a book in December. I loved being able to dive in this story blind not wanting to know how, when, and where for these two.
Alisha is an inspiring journalist who wants to get inspiration to her story she's wanting to write, yet she thinks a trip will be the topping to her cake to get her a kick start. Little does she know she will do more than just writing, more like FALLING IN LOVE with a man in ischgl. Alisha is so supportive and patient, I loved this so much about her character throughout the storyline.
Felix has so many patches that are missing throughout his life, being the man Alisha known as the most grumpiest man she's seen around ischgl. Felix is no stranger to falling in love, which buts a major bump in his love life and doesn't take risk at loving again. Until a journalist crashes right into him, having him falling head over heels for a woman that he can't stop thinking about. Seeing the both of them care and nurture each other for every need that could be meant.
I want to give a HUGE thank you to Ms. Kacey Sophia for allowing me to read my first book of hers. I loved this storyline and the setting of this book; I thought it was the perfect wintery feel and easy paste sit down read. This author does an awesome job of putting romance and mental health together, as you can see the aspect of having struggles with real life and also have a romance life at the same time. I loved seeing the growth and the dynamic throughout this book. This book was amazingly done well and can't wait to read more from this author.
If you're looking for a cozy, heartwarming love story set against the snowy backdrop of Austria, Resort to Romance by Kacey Sophia is the perfect pick!
The story follows Alisha Dutta, an aspiring journalist and the second eldest of her siblings. Alisha isn’t one for adventure, but to take a break from her recent heartbreak and give her career a boost, she sets out on a two-week skiing holiday in the charming town of Ischgl, Austria. With her supportive best friend Ophelia by her side, Alisha expects healing and fun—but what she doesn’t expect is Felix Bauer.
Felix is a man with a wounded heart. Left at the altar six months ago, he’s determined never to let love in again. Working at a travel agency in his hometown, Felix keeps himself busy, avoiding emotional connections. But fate has other plans when Alisha literally crashes into his life on the ski slopes.
As the story unfolds, readers are treated to a beautiful journey of self-discovery, healing, and romance. Watching Alisha step out of her comfort zone and Felix slowly thaw the ice around his heart is both sweet and inspiring.
Kacey Sophia does a fantastic job of bringing the characters to life. Both Alisha and Felix are relatable and well-developed, and their chemistry is utterly swoon-worthy! The side characters, like Ophelia, add depth and charm to the story, making it even more enjoyable.
The book has everything I love—humor, heartfelt moments, and an irresistible love story. The picturesque setting of Ischgl adds a magical touch, and I couldn’t help but fall in love with the cover. It’s stunning, and I absolutely need a paperback for my collection!
A huge thank you to Kacey Sophia and swipethebookpr for the ARC. I highly recommend Resort to Romance to anyone who loves swoony, feel-good romances with a touch of adventure.
