Willow Thompson is the top sales rep for New York's largest wine import company, Cin Cin. Reeling from a bad breakup, Willow finds escape hiding in her building wine portfolios and jumping from state to state, country to country. I’m about 75% of the way through, but I know the book releases September 1st and I wanted to share my thoughts up to this point!
Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Spice: 🌶️🌶️🌶️
This book has cute banter, tension, slow burn, and mild/moderate spice (so far). There is a strong focus on friendship (love), mental health and healing/finding happiness again. I resonate so much with this book for a number of reasons: I struggle with anxiety/depression, it’s based in NYC which is close to where I’m from. The MMC is an architect, which is also what I do for work!
Regarding the MMC… he is dreamy! Protective, kind and not afraid to show his emotions. I think the only negative for me is when he gets possessive/jealous. He has golden retriever energy and it doesn’t fit his character in my opinion. BUT, I love his protective nature and how he treats the FMC.
Overall I’m enjoying this book more than I thought I would (I’m more of a romantasy/fantasy girlie). It’s engaging and character development is strong.

READ IT!
Such a good read and I couldn’t put it down. Relatable characters and friendships. Willow and Andy are goals. There were real issues for the characters to work through and a slow burn amount of spice. ;) Highly recommend.

First Crush is a delightful romance that pulled me in immediately and kept me engaged the whole time. The characters are people I wish I knew in real life. I love the close friendship Willow shares with her best friend and the witty banter, tension, and slow build romance between her and Wes. And having wine sprinkled in? Yes! Rachel Lynn is a strong storyteller with a knack for giving you all the feels. I will mention that this book has moderate spice and if you're someone who gets annoyed when that's overdone or becomes the focus of the relationship like I do, no need to worry. It has just the right amount. I can't wait to read more by this author!

I am not normally a romance reader, but this book had me hooked from beginning to end! The characters are all well written and the world is well developed and fun to envision. I think we all can find something to identify with between Willow and Wes. I can't wait to read the next book and hope that the author continues to build out the world with future books. I also liked how the book was a good balance of plot development and spice while still being very meta and aware of the romance genre.

I absolutely devoured this book! I loved the witty banter and the obvious sexual tension between Wes and Willow. This slow burn romance which includes my fave alcoholic beverage....wine....kept me turning page after page with the hope of a HEA and some spice...read for yourself. I am not one to put spoilers in my review but either way you will not be disappointed. Rachel Lynn will be an auto buy author for me due to her amazing writing style, relatable characters and storyline. I also now have to buy the physical copy for my shelf since I read it on KU after seeing her on Tik Tok. And knowing the story will continue with other characters from this book...made my heart go pitter pat! Run to the bookstore and support this Indie Author! ❤️

I had the honor of beta reading First Crush and I was hooked from the beginning. I loved the winery aspect throughout even though I have no knowledge of wine myself. The characters were so cute together and I was rooting for them the whole time. I devoured the book in less than 24 hours it was so good!
