What is knowledge? What makes me, me? Do we have free will?
People have been asking such fundamental questions about the nature of reality for centuries, but how can they help us make sense of our existence in a 21st-century world of social media, cyber wars, cloning, artificial intelligence and virtual reality?
Short Cuts: Philosophy provides the map you need to travel beyond traditional foundations and explore a diverse array of deep thinkers. Soul-searching questions prompt 'short cut' answers written by experts in their field, with each one the setting-off point for instructions that plot a path through the philosophical landscape.
With 'one-stop' graphics visualizing a memorable theory or idea for each concept, and 'route map' glossaries explaining key words and their connections, Short Cuts: Philosophy will help you wrestle with the meaning of ancient and modern philosophical thought.
I can't word how boring this book was, it was partially my fault for expecting something else. (The amount of "the philosopher" had me going crazyyy)

This book is not bad for beginners to philosophy but i really did not enjoy it. This book is more for towards teens than adults. It shows the most popular dilemmas in philosophy. It is divided into 6 chapters that all cover their own themes. I thought it was a waste of time for me because I already knew a bit about each subject it brought up. I did not learn anything new about philosophy and in the future I will read something more advanced for my knowledge. This shouldn’t discourage anyone from exploring philosophy but maybe this isn’t the book for you.
Took me awhile to finish, but did it🤗 for me I've learned somethings especially about humanity thinkings and greed. I know this is a minor philosophical short read, but it really makes me think and ponder life decisions and what the future will be like; especially with everything going on right now, looking forward to reading books similar to this!!
