I thought that this was an excellent read. This book was a total swoon fest! Plenty of intense emotion and steam are combined with lots of tension, angst and drama to create a romance that easily ensnares you in its web. I loved the pairing of dragon shifter and witch, the forbidden element of their love, the amazing chemistry that simply sparked and sizzled across the pages and the wonderful characters. I am posting an independent, impartial review.

This is the third book in the royally mated series, but you don't need to read the previous books to follow the storyline.
In this book we have Aiden, the new king of the dragons. He's been told he needs to choose a bride, but despite his loneliness he only longs for his true mate. Enter Isla who is a witch searching for her family who went missing after meeting the previous dragon king. Isla sneaks into the room and instantly attracts the attention of Aiden.
We have an alpha dragon and a strong and caring heroine. I highly recommend this if you like a little mystery, some drama and a steamy romance!

This is a well written book with strong characters in Aiden and Ilsa. The author does a great job developing the story and pulls you in with all the action and danger as she takes them on an adventurous journey. She builds the tension even as she gives them a sizzling chemistry and hot passion as she brings a witch and dragon shifter together. The story is brought to life with her detailed and descriptive writing and had me hooked from start to finish reading.

This one had a good plot!
This series smexy scenes are all pretty repetitive from what they do to the dialog that occurs during..so I tend to skim those parts. This book had a good plot and I was honestly worried for Ilsas family, I wasn't sure what we would find when they entered the prison. This book and Vlads have been my favorites so far.

Aiden has suddenly become king over the dragon shifters after his father was murdered. He only has his sister left of his family. The royal advisor tells him he needs to have a ball to find his Queen. Two days after his father’s funeral, he is subjected to the fiasco where he will be introduced to any princess dragon shifters. When he smells strawberries in the ballroom, he has to find the enticing source. Then he sees her, his mate. His dragon goes wild.
Ilsa is a witch and they are enemies of the dragon shifters. But her family have gone missing after meeting with Aidens father. He has to know where they are. But Aiden tells her that she is his mate. Which she tells him is impossible because she is a witch. He takes her flying to a lake where they get hot and heavy with each other. Aiden takes her back to the castle after telling her he will help her find her family.
Once Ilsa leaves, Aiden returns to the castle and hears his sister screaming. He arrives into her room to find three rebels there waiting for him and his sisters blood all over the room. Before he can save her, the rebel takes her life before his eyes and stab him in the stomach. He escapes before they manage to kill him. He has to get to Ilsa before he dies. She heals his wound and they escape to a safe place until the faerie king finds them. The faerie king tells Aiden he knows where her family is but he needs to join his council of all species first. Then the adventures begin. He discovers treachery in his home and his pain of his fathers deception and pure evil intentions are discovered.

Aiden doesn't want a wife he doesn't even think he will find his mate and his anger is getting too much to bear. But on the night of the ball he knows his mate is there. Exciting! Ilsa sneaks into the dragon ball hoping to ask King Aiden to help find her mom, dad and brother. Her brother was scheduled to meet King Kendall, who insisted on the meeting, 2 days before he was killed. Aiden doesn't want to choose a bride during the ball, especially if she's not his mate. Tradition has royalty not mating outside their species. Happily, Aiden sents Ilsa and tracks her down. He takes her off for a bit of courting, but when he returns he surprises an attack against the royal dragon family. Aiden has to work to get Ilsa's cooperation. Secrets are revealed. Betrayals are revealed. Alliances formed. Loyalties are tested. Death and resurrection are suffered. Aiden's royal duties are not easy. The surprises keep on coming. Good story! Ilsa is brave. Aiden is hotheaded. They balance each other. Does Ilsa find her family? Does Aiden find his bride? Can Aiden recover from his dad's death? Nicely done! So this is book 3 in the royally mated series and it is Aiden (dragon king) and Ilsa's (witch) story.
Aiden's father has just died and Aiden is being pushed to find a wife. Ilsa's family has disappeared and she has decided to go to Aiden for help. Her family was last seen heading to a meeting with Aiden's father. But what they are not expecting is to discover that Ilsa is Aiden's mate considering Dragons and Witches are forbidden to be together.
Like the previous books this book connects to the previous books and the storyline that runs through each book, plus its nice to have some of the previous characters back in this book.
Aiden and Ilsa are both strong characters and despite Ilsa's denial in the beginning they are drawn together and their relationship is strong and intense despite everything that happens in this book. This book is full of action and romance and it will keep you reading till the end. Looking forward to reading the next book in the series.

I hadn’t read book 2 in this series but luckily this book can be read as a standalone and this is Aiden’s and Ilsa’s story. Aiden’s father the dragon king was murdered 3 days ago now it’s up to Aiden to take over from his father but Aiden’s aid told him to have a ball so he can pick out a dragon princess as his new queen but Aiden isn’t interested in anyone until she walks in. Ilsa’s family has gone missing she knew the dragon king had seen her brother but he’s dead so she is sneaking into the ball to talk to Aiden. Aiden spots Ilsa and Aiden’s dragon wants to come out because they both know that she is their mate he can also tell that she is a witch and they are at war but Aiden doesn’t care she will be his by the end of the night. I loved this story it’s a fantastic read and I highly recommend this book.

An excellent storyline. I finished reading this story in one sitting as it was so gripping that I had to find out what happens. There was plenty of steam and intense emotions. There is drama and tension and a romance between a Dragon Prince and a Witch. Will the prince help her find her family? Will they be able to have their HEA? This is the story of Aiden and Isla. He is the new king of the dragons and searching for his mate. When Isla sneaks into the room searching for her family, she catches Aiden’s attention. It was a good story. Loved the MCs. But it was a basic copy of the first book. The boxer briefs. The fast paced love. The story line of course was different. I found myself skimming just to get through it. I’m ashamed to say. I hate skimming.

Dnf 40%, sorry but this is a bust. The story progresses too fast, the MMC just witnesses a family member murder, his mate spends most of her energy on healing him and he shoves his cock down her throat 2 minutes later. It doesn't make much sense tbh.
