JEAN GREY is dedicated to protecting innocents in deep space! Yes, space is vaster than imagination, greater and darker than the mind can comprehend - and yet, not big enough to stop family from dropping by without warning… But that's how it goes when your father-in-law is CORSAIR of the STARJAMMERS! Leaving the pirate life behind, he's got the inside line on huge news, and PHOENIX is the only one who can act to save untold lives - that is, if she can believe he's telling the truth…

Story is decent. Still waiting for the narrator’s life to intersect with Jean’s. But I really don’t see how Corsair marching around in a towel in front of his daughter in law is funny. Took two whole stars off for that

Is this comic AI-generated, or something?

So, someone started with the premise of having Jean fly around space. They remembered, "Hey, her husband's dad is out in space! Corsair is a space pirate! Wouldn't it be funny if she ran into him?" And then, because there needs to be some sort of villain, they threw in the generic "Black Order" villains who work for Thanos in recent years. Because we needed to showcase aliens, we saw some Skrulls and the blue-skinned aliens with red fins on their heads that have now been popularized from the Guardians of the Galaxy movies. Basically, the threats in this comic were very much inspired by the MCU film franchise.

Aaaaand that's about it.

Hate Jean's new costume. Hate that Jean is being treated as the one true Phoenix instead of Rachel. Hate that they tried to add some light erotica between a woman and her father-in-law.

An issue where someone's father-in-law acts as a thirst trap man-spreading while wearing a towel.

I am wondering how they will find foes that can challenge the Phoenix. Still so enjoyed this issue.
