Short story but a great romance! Boss mafia hero and sassy ballerina heroine yes 🤌🏼🤌🏼 The heroine also is not being difficult about the hero is a mafia boss which is rare these days… Other heroine always make a big deal about it and even push away so many thousand times to the hero about it, which is freakin annoying af. But this heroine is the best!!! 💛💛💛
Who doesn’t want a sassy heroine who is also a ballerina… She also have a great sense of humour! I seriously a big fan of this heroine right here. Also this whole romance story is very interesting. I thought at first it would be boring🤣 Boy i was wrong. It was really the best! Let me explain why.
Yes this is a mafia romance but not too crazy tho. Everyone with the hero like his family and even his mother is very positive people to hang out with, no bad vibes. They were so friendly and accepting the heroine like they known her for years 🤣 Which is the best! Cause other mafia books have annoying people in it like annoying underboss or annoying second commander 😆 BUT THIS BOOK even though it’s a mafia romance many the people here are very positive vibes people… The heroine is super easy with the whole thing. No complicated and annoying comments about a mafia boss wanting her… Easy but not weird or boring tho.
She knows who he is and just immediately go with the vibe. No many questions about what this and that😍 Which is very refreshing to see… But also she’s not a doormat!!! And she is also very sassy woman which is the best part of her in the beginning of this book 💘 We also can read the mafia scenes of killing and violence but not too fvcked up tho… And it’s more about the romance 👻👻👻 Which is the best part 😋

Even though it’s a short one, it’s not boring at all… Also the chemistry, the romance, the first meet and the personality from them is what makes the whole story worth to read. At least for me tho :)

Cause some other mafia heroes are so complicated these days, with heavy personality issues and always say the wrong things and even so negative sometimes. She questioned the whole thing for sure but she asked the right questions tho. Definitely a smart woman 💛💛

Types of book that I’m looking for: SAFE, safe all the way from the beginning till the end🥵 No cheating, no unnecessary childish drama. Not too much OW DRAMA cause they are loud and annoying lol. NO to still having feelings about a ex especially wants go get back together tf no. NO to friends with benefits and still seeing other people type of sh*t. NO to hero or heroine who said i love you and have been obsessed but still likes to fvck around yeah big NO to that sh*t. NOOO to still married or still in a relationship with someone else while liking the main character, yeah they have to be single since the beginning. NOOO to a long separation and have someone else they have s3x with during the separation. NOO to too many times of separation and breaking up sh*t. NOO to toxic narcissistic characters.
I preferred the characters are loyal to the core, over the top possessive heroes since the beginning and never stops, main characters have unique jobs or talents, the hero adores and obsessed with the heroine so much, the hero fell harder for the heroine and don’t want let her go and fight for her. And most importantly EPILOGUE AND ESPECIALLY THE DECADES LATER SCENE…. HAPPY ENDING IS A MUST. Chemistry is a must too 🙏🏼

The title says "Dark," but it really isnt.This was lite Mafia romance that hit the spot after reading some really "Dark" mafia romances by Bianca Cole.
This was easy to read,I would say "insta" because once the H/h met,she never left his orbit.

This is the first book that I have read by this author and I wasn’t disappointed with this story….
Sarah’s career is looking up becoming the lead to the ballet Swan Lake but after a run in with a would be unwanted sponsor but on a night out with her bestie and a short cut changed everything…
Mafia kingpin Vincent was in the middle of taking care of business when he was interrupted so gave chase and grabbed Sarah as she runs away, stashes her in his car and takes her to his home before he grills her on what she saw…but instead their circumstances takes a turn when they fired upon…
This fast pace sweet mafia story had me enthralled to the last page with its plot twist plus the humour of Vincent’s family keeping it light but with some steamy scenes just for added spice….

I so thoroughly enjoyed this story!
I love the main characters and the brothers are great as well.
Vincent is the Don of the Italian Mafia
Sarah is a ballerina
They meet when Sarah and her BFF take a shortcut through the alley and Vincent is there with a gun to a man's head when he hears a gasp and Sarah runs. He obviously catches her and throws her in the trunk.
Their banter had me cracking up. I love these two!

This is a new author to me, but I loved the book. Vincent and Sarah have such great chemistry and the scenes were so hot! Whew, I needed a cold drink when I was done!

Wow, talk about a fast paced hard hitting, hard loving, mafia romance! Sarah’s night started with a beautiful performance of the ballet Swan Lake followed up with a not so lovely interaction with one of the ballet’s sponsors. Escaping that episode, with her dance partner Robert, led to an even worse confrontation with the local leader of the Mafia! He ends up kidnapping her and, after much reflection, decides he has to keep her. Their interactions, as they work through the issues created by their unique situation, are sometimes comical, sometimes very emotional, and always very sexciting. There is just so much richness and depth to this story with strong lead characters, Vincent’s very diverse family, Sarah’s very tragic family background, his life and death issues with a competing mafia family, her wonderfully supporting dance troupe, breathtaking action, and an extremely hot spanking romance. And it all builds to a heart stopping climactic scene that will have you on the edge of your seat. Outstanding writing! This is my first exposure to this author but it definitely won’t be my last. 5 delightful stars.

Sweet, mafia-lite romance
I enjoyed this story; right from the start it pulled me in. The characters were all likable. I had a problem with a major plot element regarding the FMC and her career as a ballerina at the NY Ballet Company. I really don’t think a real-life ballerina would have been so chill given the FMC’s circumstances, even with the allowances the MMC gave her. She NEVER got upset about missing performances??? Not to mention the drastic change in her career by the end of the book. BUT I suspended my disbelief so that I could enjoy the book, and I did enjoy it. I wouldn’t put this one at the top of your TBR list, but if you’re looking for a quick mafia-lite read (and you can ignore the less realistic/reasonable elements), give this one a try.

Unexpectedly, something is happening that shouldn't be seen. Sarah is abducted by Vincent DeLuca, so she can be questioned. This story is exciting and entertaining. The characters are wonderful and story is well-written.

Everything was very superficial as far as romance was concerned. The mafia business was more detailed than romance which is not what I am looking for in these short books. The depth and emotions felt a bit lacking. The ending was rushed with I love yous and very short epilogue. Good writing but plot needed more romance and depth

I am really in a bad slump :(
It's like some mafia guy kidnaps you and you are literally getting wet and next we know humping him
and having sex !!!!!
I mean there was no logic to this story, apparently the villain was more intelligent and deserve to be the head of the mafia family the way he outsmarted the H.

boring, predictable, no spice.
Pretty boring. The “threat” was missing for 95% of the book, absolutely no stakes at all for a supposed mafia book. Also the spice wasn’t even there… like he doesn’t “go downtown” on her in the ENTIRE book. Never seen that in a romance novel before. Yikes.

This is a must read book. I could not put it down. Sarah and Victor characters are great and the plot is outstanding.
