Me and my wolf, we don’t need trouble. And this feisty little control freak is trouble with a capital T. When my brother was killed and I lost my place as alpha, I left my home and my pack.
As the lone wolf in the Gold Creek pack’s territory, I can’t afford to make waves.
Me and my wolf, we have one rule: Don’t get involved. It’s worked for us so far.
That is until the beautiful little hotshot from Silicon Valley walks into the diner and my wolf catches her scent. He thinks that she belongs to us, but we can’t belong to anybody — especially not this feisty little control freak that makes me want to throw her over my shoulder and take her to bed immediately.
But when she’s stranded in a mountain snowstorm, I can’t stop myself from helping her. My every instinct is to protect her. To mark her. To mate her. To make her mine in every way.
My wolf’s decided that she’s our fated mate, and my wolf is never wrong.
Warning: Stranded With the Wolf is a short and steamy fated-mates romance with possessive alpha werewolf vibes. Sparks may trigger a forest fire in your panties.
This is a safe story with no cheating. HEA guaranteed.
What to expect * fated mates * they met by chance * insta everything, of course * he's a 🐺, she's human * danger because of some rival 🐻 pack * some push back because he's a lone 🐺 and he doesn't want to put her in danger * spicy
I liked this one overall. It was my first read by this author. I might continue the series since I enjoyed the writing, and this was a satisfying short read.
The way he just kept putting his foot into his mouth was kind of funny 😂. He did annoy me when he decided to leave her in that small town, with the plan to get back to her the next day. Well, she wasn't in danger then, but still, it rubbed me the wrong way. I was like, "Stay there, you moron, watch her in the shadows, whatever, just make sure she'll be fine since she does not have a single clue about the shifters world!!". But it was fine since fate quickly brought them back together.
Their relationship developed very fast, duh, since this was a novella, but it ended in a satisfying way. The epilogue was sweet 🥰.
"If I was going to bite you, it would be for one reason and one reason only... To mark you as my mate."
4.5 stars
I finally made time to go back and read the first book in this series by Savannah, and I have to say that this is one of my favorites so far! Emma and Jared meet by chance in a diner after Emma is stranded in a snowstorm. Although they part ways, fate continues to throw them together, and they are unable to deny the attraction and connection they feel towards each other. Even though he was still super protective over his mate, I loved how playful Jared was with Emma as well. Emma didn't understand shifter dynamics, but she also couldn't walk away from Jared or how satisfied he left his mate. This was a perfect and steamy first book in a great series🖤
Tropes: fated mates, strangers-to-lovers, forced proximity, lone wolf hero, fish-out-of-water heroine, snowed in cabin, primal play, STEAMY🔥
I really loved this. It was the perfect blend of spicy and action. I will for sure be reading the rest of the series. I loved both of the characters in the book and I cannot wait for the next one. I also really love the rival ship between the bear shifters and the wolf shifters. This story was just perfect.
This is a short erotic story about a wolf shapeshifter and a controlling woman. Take away the erotica and there isn’t much left to the story. She’s from another state in Colorado to meet an investor for her company. While driving through the mountains she gets stranded in a snow storm. She followed the GPS directions off the interstate to get to her location.
The author didn’t do much research about the elevation of the area and its impact on someone not used to the lack of oxygen. People get altitude sickness often in those mountains. The female main character is out in the snow hiking down the road and slipping on ice. Her feet are freezing indicating frost bite which can also be serious.
She doesn’t seem to give much thought to her own safety. All that matters to her is getting to a meeting. I didn’t care about the female lead character after she got out of the truck to walk in the snow.
The story goes from the lead characters meeting to being intimate very fast. The way it’s written the male lead is the aggressor and it’s hard to say how much consent she gives to what’s going on.
Theres crude language and cussing in the book that wasn’t needed. Theres also some violence in the story between the wolf shapeshifter and bear shapeshifters. It seemed misplaced and put in to cause drama.
I won’t be reading it again, nor will I seek out stories by this author.
The h was traveling to a meeting in a snow storm. She ended up crashing her rental car and had to find a hotel to stay in.
The H noticed her at a restaurant and knew right away she was his mate but he wasn't going to claim her because it wasn't safe because he wasn't part of a pack. He was a lone wolf. But he did follow her just to make sure she was safe in the bad storm.
They're very different from each other. Different upbringings, live in different states, careers, temperaments, etc. She's always been called a control freak so got offended when he pointed it out as well.
They end up having to stay in the same hotel room because the old lady in charge was playing matchmaker.
"When I left my birth pack and became a lone wolf, I gave up the security that comes with a pack. A shifter's pack mates keep his mate safe in the event that he's wounded or killed. And a lone wolf is always running from death -- always fighting to live."
Overall, this short story was just ok. Wouldn't recommend or re-read.
This was a fun story. It had so many nuanced layers. Romance, heart, action, suspense. Lots of plot twists and excitement. Jared was a lone wolf who didn't have a pack. He was friendly with the local pack, but not a member. When he meets Emma his wolf knows she is their mate, but Jared is convinced he can't have a mate because he is packless. When Emma is threatened his wolf comes out to protect her, and they have to have a deep conversation about what he is.
This was a spicy adventure. Emma was a headstrong woman who was trying to find an investor to help her business. When she gets snowed in Jared steps up to help her. After a few bumps they both realize they have a future together.
One of my favorite scenes, even though it was a little sad, was when Jared thought Emma had left him for good. Jared's wolf was so expressive, and when he thought Emma had left he melted down. It was so sad until Emma came back and then Jared and his wolf was so happy and settled.
3 stars! This is a nice little pallet cleanser in between novels. This book is a novella so it won't have a lot of depth to it. The smut was nice! And that was basically the premise of the book. Insta love and smut. I would have liked to know a little bit more about the female character and maybe a little bit more background on the male. character. He did get a little annoying with the back and forth in his head that he wasn't worthy of her because he was a lone wolf after being kicked out of his birth pack. And I kind of like to seem a little more drama with the bear shifter clan that gave both of them a hard time at the beginning. But like I said a nice little pallet cleanser. I'll probably read book 2, just not right away it will be an in between book once again.

I enjoyed the flow and that it was a short story making it convenient to read with things going on, it really let's you enjoy the reading without taking away too much time from a busy day so that you can squeeze in some quality self relaxation and enjoyment. I would recommend to anyone who enjoys the fantasy/paranormal categories, especially if they have little time in their day to be able to actually enjoy reading without having to take a ton of breaks. Though I would ensure they realize short read means the ball rolls fast so this would not be for someone who prefers slow burn as much. I gave a five star for convenience, writing, and my overall satisfaction with the story.
Stranded With the Wolf is a very enjoyable short story. Jared is living as a lone wolf, choosing not to live with a pack. Jared is stopped in his tracks when he scents Emma who is traveling through the mountains trying to reach her destination before she is snowed in these mountains! Jared's wolf is frantic to be with Emma. Fate steps in and Emma's car slides on the icy road with snow and crashes! Jared rescues her from the wrecked car! The fun begins! Enjoyed this short story very much and highly recommend this story to everyone!
DNF @ 25%. This was too cozy for me. The plot, if you can call it one, involved a city girl getting mated with a wild alpha wolf. They are trapped in a small town together. I was bored and there was no new perspective on this story. I'll give the author's writing some kudos - she has her heroine being TSTL in the beginning, but somehow had me extending some understanding of her decisions, even when she absolutely could have died.
I'd be open to trying another by this author - just something less cozy.
Emma gets stranded in a snowstorm on the way to meet a potential investor in her company “It’s an app that helps people looking for love find their ideal mate.”. Along the way she stops at a dinner for some coffee and runs into Jared who is a lone wolf. He immediately scents her as his and can’t stop himself from helping her which is how they wind up sharing a cabin..
What a cute lil love story. I love a fated mates story. Was this the best one of I’ve read. No. But was it still good? Yes!
Emma is on a business trip when she gets snowed in. Jared is trying to help her, but she's anxious to get to her destination. She ends up having to start at a cabin when they sit down the highway. Little does she know that her cabin has been double booked and her roommate is Jared. They find a few things out about each other and she's surprised by what she finds out about him.
This book was a joy to read. Stranded with the Wolf is the first book in the Gold Creek Wolves and with how fantastic this book was, I feel that the rest of the series will be phenomenal as well. This was a quick read, but in that short amount of time I absolutely fell for Jared and Emma. The situation that Jared and Emma goes through make for a really fantastic book.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Emma is stranded when stuck in a snow storm on her way to an important meeting when she meets Jared - a lone wolf shifter (isn't part of a pack) - who realizes she's his fated mate. He immediately struggles with wanting to help and protect her but also stay away since he's on his own. Certain events force his hand and they end up in the typical "one bedroom" situation.
It's a quick read and okay. Not my favorite shifter romance but entertaining enough.
I enjoyed this short story about a wolf shifter finding his fated mate. They seemed very different and there was some humor involved. My only complaint is that it was short, so we didn't get to know the characters other than surface level. The epilogue was nice, so we know what was happening with them. I would recommend the read!
It was an ok book not to deep into depth of characters and way to short to be wanting a second book but heavy on the fated mate and what that means so lots of good ole smut lol So if you want a simple romp of a book this is for you I’m glad a I read it but just needed a bit more depth
Loved every line...daring and sexy with just enough to make you happy as the relationship builds between Emma and Jared. A chance meeting in a snowstorm paves the way for heated exchange and a chance of love. I love the ending at how fulfilled both Emma and Jared are after giving in to instinct.
Jared and Emma were bound to be together, and this book turned out nice. Their meet was low chemistry at first, but then everything after that was ultra steamy.. I did dislike how long some of the steamy scenes lasted as it did get a tad bit boring, but overall, a good read I would definitely recommend..
Such a good story, i was actually worried when the bears ganged up on Jared. But was relieved when Maddox and Adrian showed up. It was a little sad to hear about Jared s brother. Loved the ending
This is a well written short story with awesome characters. This was a quick easy read. This one is worth your time. This is a book to read on that lazy afternoon when you don't have a lot of time. I think you will enjoy this one.
This book could of had more background Although was well written could of had more background on both characters instead of just concentrating on only the fated mates What happened to his family and pack
#StandedWithTheWolf by @savannahsterling ... I'm not entirely sure how this one lqnded on my @kindle, but as steamy inconsequential romances go- this one does the job. It's a fated mate story, and ticks all the boxes. Quick, easy, and follows all the expectations. 🌶🌶🌶
Short sumty read. No plot, no character development or world building. Wolf wants girl, gets girl..sexual content was the best part of the story. Do I want to read more about the other shifters that were mentioned. .Nope. So yeah 3 stars for good sexual scenes.
Loved this. Though why said she's he traveling in the snow in a short skirt and a tesla? Jeeez! But if she hadn't she never would've met Jared...Short and sweet and the steamy scenes were so ooo goood. & I can't wait to read the next one.
I love a strong dominant shifter finding his true mate in a human. Love found in a chance meeting. Who says you can't find your perfect mate without an App.
A fun little read about a city girl making bad choices in a small town in the mountains during a snow storm. Fated mates with some other shifter strife. It s a short but good read.
Two character outlines meet during a snowstorm. There isn't really much else to this fated mate shifter erotica. They tease some other world building but ignore that to focus on the happily ever after.
