You wouldn't think Thanksgiving would be stressful in a flower shop, right? Wrong. I have so many arrgements to get together for the annual Turkey Run it's not even funny.
To alleviate some stress, I thought a booty call would take my mind off of it. Also wrong.
Now I have a naga boyfriend who isn't as innocent as he seems.
Omgggg, I love this book so much!! It's such a cute novella. Not only does it have the cue Hallmark vibes, but we've got some steamy moments between the town witch and a VERY curious naga. (Yep, you read that right -- a NAGA! I need more books with nagas after reading this piece XD). Savannah never fails to suck me in right from the start. I really enjoyed being introduced to Briony and the life she leads -- or trying to, since some people just want to be jerks in this town. >.<. Seriously, is it too much to ask when it comes to enjoying a floral flower shop business?? Either way, Oliver strolling into her life REALLY made things exciting. I do have my favorite characters with Savannah's worlds, but I think Oliver might have just snagged a top spot XD. He's a very interesting character -- especially with his secret. ;) [Nope, I'm not spilling! You'll have to read the book and find out ;)]. Since this is set in the same world as Belmore Manor Bed & Breakfast, we even got to see some of the other characters that we were introduced to before! Which I LOVE so much and I am keeping my fingers crossed that I'll be seeing Briony and Oliver again in the future, in another book!
I can't WAIT for the next book that she brings us!! OBVIOUSLY I recommend this book!! (Especially if you love nagas ;) )
I enjoy a questionable romance every now and again, and this is exactly what I mean when I say “questionable.” Down to the weird anatomy and everything, lol.
If you read my review of the other Candlelight Bay novella, you know that I thought that one was a bit too short. This one? Not at all. There wasn’t much chemistry between the two mains, tension, and enough of a plot that I can’t complain. Honestly, I really, really enjoyed it.
So, why only four stats? SPOILERS AHEAD. STOP READING NOW.
That one scene towards the end was questionable. She was saying no—crying while saying no—and he didn’t stop? It didn’t feel consensual at all. And I think it might be intense enough to need a trigger warning. That’s how icky it made me feel.
Savannah Giles strikes again Besties! I fell hard for Belmore Manor, and Oopsie Daisy absolutely delivered. This novella packs a punch with rich storytelling, layered characters, and just the right amount of drama and spice. PSST SPOILER * 🍆🍆 😝
Briony and Oliver? Total heart-stealers. Their banter had me grinning, and their dynamic (Witch + Naga!) left me with so many questions I need answered. Savannah clearly knows how to keep us hooked.
The return to Belmore Manor and its quirky cast was such a refreshing touch. I’m officially obsessed with this little town and crossing my fingers for more stories from Candlelight Bay!
I think the description above says it all, but this was a great novella! Although I wish it was longer, Oopsie Daisy is well written and wraps up with a satisfying ending. I did not know what l expect, I honestly wasn’t sure what a naga was but I’m glad I didn’t google it beforehand. With a witchy FMC and a naga MMC, this story is quick paced, steamy, and filled with obsession.
I really enjoyed this for a quick holiday read! It was really fun! Me and my friend buddy read it and it wasn’t something either of us were expecting. We basically went in blind and have no regrets! If you’re looking for a quick, fun, smutty read I would 10/10 recommend! I loved Briony and Oliver! I think they were opposites, who brought the best out of each other.
This was a short novella and was full of spicy times between Oliver and Briony. Not a lot of plot and more of a fun read. If you love novellas, magic/paranormal vibes and a fast burn you will enjoy this fast read.
