One year has passed since Leandro Christopoulos and Bobby Granger have last seen each other. Unhealed wounds have forced them to change, but one thing remains the same – the explosive chemistry between them.
Leandro is determined to recapture Bobby’s heart, but making her fall in love with him again may be impossible when he finds out that she already belongs to another man…and he also happens to be Leandro’s greatest rival.
An ordinary man would have given up in face of Bobby’s aversion, but not Leandro. Bobby is the only woman Leandro will ever love – and if blackmail is the only way to have her back in his life…then so be it.
Marian Tee's books are my guilty addiction, one that I admittedly am not proud of. Her work follows literally the same formula: alpha billionaire guy and pure and naive lady falls in love, guy fucks up, girl leaves and cries, guy grovels. After reading almost all her books, you'd think I should've grown tired of it. My mind thinks so too but tell that to my heart. So yes, until now, I love Marian Tee's books.
Out of all MT's work that I've read, Driven By Love made me cry the hardest. The pouring-out-your-heart-and-all-your-insides groveling really got to me. It should have easily become my favorite Marian Tee book. So why the 1 star?
Warning: mild spoilers
I had a peaceful night of sleep to think about this but no, I couldn't simply get past it. It doesn't matter that the girl loves the guy and that she gives in at the end; it simply is not okay to force someone to sex. Even the forced kisses to shut her up were already hard to swallow. Yes, she always gives in because the guy is just that magical when it comes to kisses and sex, but I just couldn't fathom the idea that she was first helplessly held and fondled against her will while the guy was so smug about it, sure that she likes it. Typical rapist mindset: c'mon, I'm sure you'll like it.
I literally wanted to rip the pages out of my ebook copy. Why did that scene have to happen?! Why ruin what should have been my favorite crack?! I wish I could pretend it never happened but even the guy's billions, biker status and Greek god looks can't blind me. Someone who forces another against his/her will is ALWAYS a rapist. It's as simple as that.
Reading this book makes you forget these are two young people who are naive and basically still immature, trying to act like adults, one is 22, the other is 19...too damn young and foolish to be going through the shit they going through.
In book one Bobby was very spunky, but in this book she's just broken, so sad to see her fire extinguished so. Leandro is still an ass, I don't feel like he grew up at all, despite his loss. He just imposes his will on Bobby and I give her points for trying to be strong but in the end you have two dysfunctional people just trying to one up each other by trying to see who could hurt each other more...why the hell even bother being together?
This is an ideal read for travelling, flight book, vaca book by the pool, summer weekend floating on the water; you get what I mean? Short, sweet romance ahhhh
Leandro I'm going to sum up this love with one page and I think you will understand how "smitten" the reader will be with him and their love story.
Leandro expected Roberta Granger to try to escape him, and she did. But of course he was ready for her, and his arm simply tightened around her waist. For good measure, he also pulled her close to him, taking her again by surprise. She ended up completely plastered against his body, and as he whirled them around, he looked down at her. She was spitting mad. That was .... expected, too. "Try to smile, " he suggested. "Everyone's looking at us." "let go of me." "No." he whirled them around again. "I'm serious." " I'm just as serious. Before you can make a scene, I'll be kissing you. Again
I like the way Marian Tee write's. I like her very original, simple descriptive language "spitting mad" Leandro was a scoundrel because of wealth, fame and talent however, he wasn't immoral or terrible. He was a product of his environment and totally loveable and hilarious at times. Leandro and Bobby were a great couple
yes I hate chapters sold as books yes, I read book two because I HAD to. It super pisses me off when a writer divides a book into less than a 100 pages and then cliff hangs the ending. ah well, this one was pretty good though.
Leandro and Bobby had justifiable drama because they were adults, strong personalities and very confident people. No games, real crush, real love, real betrayal, real fights, real struggle. Real goooood !
This book starts a year after Bobby and Leandro's break up It was a good, quick read. I do wish taht there was a book in between that showed exactly what they both went through during that time apart, instead of just being alluded to in this book.
I liked how Leandro tried to prove he really loves Bobby still. I wasn't expecting Bobby to play the games she did though. I was kind of disappointed in her for doing that. Leandro impressed me in this story.
I am agreeing with some of the other readers that this part could've been included in the first book. I agree that by separating the books does increase revenues for the writers however it's forgotten that the readers who enjoys a certain writer is the one who suffers. This was not worth the $3
For myself it was just too much angst!!! I didn't think it should take until 99% of the darn story to reach a amiable conclusion...by the end I wanted to B-Slap the heroine.
I read these two books along time ago and when I was strolling on Good reads I came across them, I remembered I also bought them from another site that's why no reviews then. I did like the books and author so I'll be buying more books. This was a very good read, both books. The heart always wins in the end, at least in books.
I finished reading it within 2 hours after I realized the book was released.
The story of Bobby and Leandro continues and a year has passed since their break up and Leandro's big mess.
While reading this story, it made me want to read the part were they made up already but I couldn't skipped it because it would be ruined.
Despite a year has passed both Bobby and Leandro changed greatly. If for the better or not, you'd be the judge for that (so just read it). Although both of them are still stubborn till the end.
Leandro has matured since the first series and he would do anything to be with Bobby. For her to love him again like he still does. I missed Bobby's long hair although I do agree with Leandro that she was a b*tch when she became vindictive. It wasn't fair for Leandro although I guessed he deserved since he hurt her last time but I thought Bobby was better than that. We have two new characters introduced. I'm glad that Sabastian helped opened Bobby's eyes because if not for him there wouldn't have been a HEA.
Marian Tee, I think you're writing has involved and improved for the better. The flow of events was written really well and the hot scenes were hotter and I needed to fan myself especially the ending. That was a surprise I did not see coming. I agree that Leandro is the wildest of the wild cards.
I can't wait for the upcoming story of Sabastian and Zee Zee. The revenge of Leandro was really hilarious and I couldn't stop laughing. Most of all I think I'm looking forward to reading the continuation of Derek and Jaike plus Helios and MJ if I'm not mistaken. Although I do wish there was more info about Valerie and Bobby's brother past relationship so I get to understand why she mistreated Bobby.
This is a quick paced story with really steamy hot scenes, very emotional, but most of all learning to forgive and taking chances in the name of love.
haha just kidding. I loved it XD Leandro and Bobby were crazy, though, so the GIF has some merit. What a crazy ride, this love! Bobby and Leandro definitely had major chemistry, and I'm glad it helped in getting the both of them to pursue the other even though it meant possible heartbreak and rejection.
The ending was a little back and forth, had me like-
but I won't spoil it here. It's the second installment to Heart Racer, and the end for biker Leandro's story. I loved the way they seemed older despite only a year passing. However, considering what happened, it makes sense. I was most definitely entertained by this erotic romance and Leandro's passion to get her back was intense.
It's a hit or miss for readers: you'll either love the intensity or you'll be turned off by it. I personally loved it because I understand the need for that extra push to give in. If none of them were pushed, they'd miss out on one of the greatest loves of their lives.
I recommend this series (read Heart Racer first) and this author.
“His life was in those eyes, and to let her go was to let go of life itself. There was nothing worth living for if he lost her.”
You must read the freebie novella, Heart Racer, before reading this novel.
Leandro and Bobby’s story picks up one year later. One year after Leandro breaks Bobby’s heart. One year after Leandro’s father dies. One year of picking up the pieces and living a semblance of a normal life.
Bobby is shocked and unprepared to find out that Leandro is back in the US. She’s fought a hard battle to get her sanity back after he broke her. Leandro knows he made a serious mistake and he’s returned to get her back in his life – where she belongs.
Leandro is a completely gorgeous alpha male. He’s desperately sorry for the hurt he caused Bobby. She is stubborn yet vulnerable - determined not to give him a chance to shatter her again.
This was unashamedly romantic, a bit angsty and totally sexy! Love this author for a thumping, quick read!
Leandro is determined to make Bobby fall for him again. As all good stories go, nothing is so simple. In his quest to win back Bobby, he doesn't realize that she's already with someone else. Not only is she with another man, but she's in the arms of a man he can't stand. Leandro does whatever it takes to win her back, even if that means blackmailing her along the way. I like how the were able to grow apart. Each character need to figure out their inner strength and grow from the past. Bobby is a special girl, some may want her to be stronger but there's a beauty in the way she's in. I loved the immense patience Leandro endured. He was willing to sacrifice a lot and as the book went by, you saw how strong his feelings for Bobby was. It's nice to read about how much he loved Bobby and worked his way into deserving that love. Sometimes, you needed a few chances to get things right
I had fallen in love at the first part of Bobby and Leandro's story and waited patiently for the next part. Although it was so quick my heart was hurting for both of them. Usually this kind of thing is one sided and you will be on one persons side but in this case I understood both of them. I wanted them to be together and when Sebastian came into it I nearly died. All I want is my own Leandro in life. All I'm asking for. Not a whole lot.
Omg! Loved the continuation of heart racer. Emotional fast paced storyline that held my attention until the end. Storyline was realistic and believable. Leandro was on my crap list at the end of the first book. Despite the fact he actually fell in love with Bobby he was too arrogant. Thru-out this book though he redeemed himself. He put so much effort into trying to win Bobby back. Definitely a boyfriend book and would recommend. Can't wait to read more in this series.
Ok I'll admit, the ending part is awesome. Very brave Bobby!!! Quiet unexpected but satisfying. For a while I envy Bobby for having to love a biker. They are just perfect for each other!
This made me laugh as well; Leandro's humor and his jerk ways really matches Bobby's bitch side. I love love their endearment, Megaira and Kopanos <3
So guys, it won't hurt to read this, swear! And besides, its part 2 of their story.
Leandro Christopoulos and Bobby Granger are the prideul main characters. Leandro comes back to win Bobby back. Bobby doesnt think she can go through hell again.
I thought the back and forth between the two was bellievable and realistic. Who doesnt say things just to hurt others? I really enjoyed this book and read it an hour.
This one was good and the editing wasn't as bad. They needed more obstacles to overcome though. I enjoyed Sebastian's role but I wanted to know why he was even at the facility in the first place. The ending was great. In the end a quick read with some problems not enough to stop what was going on and needed a little bit more drama to keep you needing more.
I enjoyed the book but I have a few issues. We didn't really learn anything about the girl and her background but we know everything about the guy. Also the girl is just so dramatic. I understand kinda why she was the way she was but she took it to a whole nother level.
Sigo diciendo este junto con el primero deberian de haber sido uno solo... no habia necesidad de que los dividieran asi... pero bueno... Por fin tuvieron su final... y a seguir con el siguiente chico... :P
I loved it and thought it was a really cute short story. A girl got her heart broken and the guy did it just to protect himself. This is normal because people fail to communicate.
Leandro & Bobby are attracted to each other. Even if they can't stand each other the sexual attraction is there. Will they actually fall in love? Or are they both just pretending?
