(DNF) I'm not impressed. I'm pretty sure someone said that Alexa Riley was back, or at least close to what they used to produce. I'm not feeling it. It probably has to do with the heroine calling the Hero "Daddy" out of nowhere in Ch. 2, and the fact that we're just thrown into their interaction like we're supposed to know what their dynamic is already.

Okay, this was fun, and they were both crazy! 🤣

Karmen got sent to an asylum after stabbing her teacher with a pencil. And this is where she met Dr. Rourke. I think she's been staying for days in the asylum, so there's no introduction between them at the present time. It just jumped to the scene where she's flirting with him, ignoring the fact he's her doctor. 🤭

It was fun in the beginning because she's shameless with her seduction game and Dr. Rourke is slowly losing his mind over her. But his resistance didn't last long, and he eventually gave in and became her daddy. 🤭

Anyway, they found out that her mother and her teacher were in cahoots. Her teacher was obsessed with her and tried to SA her, but she got away by stabbing him. Her mother, on the other hand, didn't want to do anything with her anymore since she's already 18 and only interested in her trust. So these two awful people agreed to work together, but their plans got busted.
 
Anyway, the first half was unhinged and had me laughing with their antics. The second half then became suspenseful. But I'm glad things work out for the best.

This book gets 4 stars because FMC was a virgin but nothing was mentioned about MMC. When I say nothing, I mean nothing was mentioned about his past relationship or if he was a virgin or not. So I am assuming he was not. Also nothing about is age was mentioned either. What was the age gap? I don't know. But she kept calling him daddy.

The thing I loved the most about this book was the FMC. She was young but I liked her character. Very sexy.

This book reminds me of the books that Alexa Riley used to write with Jessa Kane. So does the previous book in the series, "The Bad Man" .

Dr. Rourk is attracted to her the minute he sees her but he is professional and he has to assess her daily. I liked the first book better, it felt more developed. This is one was good but a bit rushed. Dr. Rourk does try to stay professional but he gives into his desire to Karmen. I liked that He believed her immediately when she told him that the teacher deserved to be stabbed. Some stuff happens but Dr. Rourk is able to save Karmen and give her the life she deserved.
