Sweet story, 4.25 stars. As always it takes me a bit to adjust to the writing style and to remember past stories that might line up with this new one. I really liked Levity and Murph, interesting to add the way they played with words :)
Highlights & Spoilers:
When Levity asks Murph if he trusts her-
“That all depends. Your breakfast recommendations are consistently excellent. I trust those. Your comma usage is a trial."
LOL
We get Torloo!
Inspiration struck. “What if Levity came along? You have similar coloring. If anyone asked, we could say you’re a relative of hers.”
“This is a good plan. She is a good companion for you.” He shyly added, “Your heart beats for her.”
“It’s mortifying, knowing you lot can tell.”
Torloo said, “It is simpler to be honest. If you gave chase, I do not think Levity would run very far or very fast.”
Murph sighed. “I know you mean well, but I can’t exactly take dating advice from a child.”
With the barest hint of a smile, Torloo said, “I am one hundred and forty-three years old,"
and:
A surprise, she’d said.
Something nice, she’d said.
Murph sought Levity’s gaze and silently mouthed, “I love you.”
And as always with courting, the gift giving is so sweetly done.
