An incredible cozy style mystery in an electricly charged full length mystery novel,a small town lady with a passion for truth and community closeness a woman who will stand up and fight for what she believes in.A small town engulfed in corruption needing to be saved. The array of vibrant, and bold characters may draw you into this mystery but a plot like no other full of secrets, lies, betrayals, deadly games and intrigue beyond your dreams will have you enthralled through out having you on the ledge breathless with anticipation trying to guess what is to happen next a,what is the end game and who will survive standing by the end. I wasn't prepared for this captivating mystery or how it would grip me holding my attention the way it did, I was felt as though I was unable to breathe at times with appreciation of what would unfold next, you truly have to read it to be able to feel what I can't put into words it's that good. The intrigue and story that is unfolding in front of your eyes is an accomplished writer at their best..Acquire Murder at Whimsy Cafe " for hours of intriguing ,exciting and enjoyable entertainment. Splendid writing by Dana sharp .Opal Birchwood seeks to expose a mind control plot that’s trying to bring Cloverfield to its knees there’s only her and Detective Grayson to appease … never expecting for one minute that her cafe would be at the centre of a murder investigation, nor did she suspect that she has inner depths. Someone is using mind control and using people like puppets to do there bidding …no I’m not kidding , it’s the god’s honest truth . It’s a good thing that Opal has turned sleuth. She’s all excited about opening her cafe and the collaboration with renowned chef Andre Velasquez the cafe never looked so good . Everything was coming up roses …until it took a deadly turn as the guests gripped their throats at first forkful…Did they have their belly full of delight ? How did the new chef’s plight take flight? Find these answers and more and what’s in store . Great read!

This is an enjoyable cozy mystery with lots of unusual twists and secrets. Opal, the main character owns the Whimsey Cafe and when a celebrity chef dies from eating at her restaurant. So to clear her name, she looks to unravel a murderer but gets caught up in evil in her town of Cloverfield. Together with the persistent Detective Grayson they uncover a sinister plot. Residents of town are victims of mind control. What is going on? Can Opal and the detective find a murderer and unravel the sinister plot to take over the town? Will using Opal's secret power be able to save the town and get justice? This is a fun and entertaining mystery that surprises you in the end. I received an ARC of this book but the opinions expressed here are strictly my own.

I was frequently sitting on the edge of my seat!

I love stories with places like the whimsy cafe but…this stretches out further than my favorites! Opal and her helpful cat Whiskers are in the middle of everything, though I never quite figured out what everything is. The plot jumps from one horrific bad guy to another and somehow this cafe owner is able to outsmart all of them. She also solves crimes better than her detective boyfriend, Grayson but is always frightened! Definitely keeps you guessing and I still am after finishing the story. But I like the main characters and Whiskers. Fun, even if confusing to me.

Opel Birchwood was excited about the grand opening of the Whimsy Cafe and  also  present was the celebrity chef Andres’ Velasquez . Suddenly Andres’ is dead by poisoning. It  was a dangerous journey full of suspense that Opel under took determined to solve the mystery.  A captivating read from the start. I received this ARC copy via Booksprouts and leave a honest review. I recommend this book to other readers.

Allow a day for this incredible, disjointed, fast-paced action thriller that starts pretending to be a cozy mystery in Cloverfield before completely jumping the tracks. No discernable character development, but if you like action, there is plenty of it. 4*

this was a strong mystery novel, it had that element that I was looking for and enjoyed from the genre. Dana Sharp has a great writing style and enjoyed the overall feel of this story. It left me wanting to read more as I really enjoyed this.

This book is a great what is going to happen next. Throughout the book you think you know who the bad people are but then there is a twist. The story line is very interesting and developed well. The characters are evil, nice, and twisted. This book had me on the edge of my seat throughout the story.

For fans of cozy mysteries. This has been re-written. The characters are predictable. Full of suspense and surprises, when a celebrity chef dies of food poisoning it is up to Opal to find out who might have wanted the chef dead.

This is a great story. I was intrigued from the start and from the way it ends I have to wonder if there's going to be more to it. If so I definitely look forward to reading it. Highly recommend.
