■ Plot
It’s hard dating someone who won’t give you the time of day. Su-ae Shim knows that better than anyone, having dated her indifferent boyfriend, Minu Kang, for years. She sometimes wishes she could be more like her charismatic stepsister, Ra-im, who seems to have it all. But life takes a turn for the weird when Su-ae discovers Jellypop, a sentient flip phone, in her locker. Jellypop has a lot to say about her love life, especially as Su-ae drifts further away from Minu and finds herself running into Minu’s friend, Eunhyeok. Add to the mix a growing suspicion that Minu and Ra-im might be more than friends, and Su-ae might need a miracle to navigate the ups and downs of high school romance!

Again I am not sure which chapters are included in this so my review is up to chapter 85. I am still loving this series. While I get the love for Eunhyeoks character I think I am shipping Su-ae with Dohwa.
I do love Eunhyeoks character but whenever I see the interactions with Ra-im just make me weary about him. I do get that they were friends of some sort prior to him being even friends with Su-ae but for someone who insists they are so against cheating you would think once he learned she was having an affair with her sisters boyfriend hed start treating her a little different but no. He doesnt ever really change his attitude toward her until he admits him feelings for Su-ae. At least when Dohwa found out about it from Ra-im without even knowing the other girl was her sister was able to speak up and tell her something was wrong with her. And that was all without even being interested in her sister.
Everyone I know that has read this also loves the scene where Eunhyeok gets an extra umbrella for Su-ae but to me that would have been a cute moment between them if he hadnt of just did something similar for her sister. it really ruined the scene for me. Whenever Ra-im is not in the story I understand the love for him but even after he admits his feelings to himself for Su-ae and starts to become more standoffish to ra-im it still feels weird because after you have told someone who clearly likes you and you know the reason they are trying to get close is becuase you are close with their sister that you dont like them I would just start walking past that person. Hes not nice to her anymore but I feel like just him talking with her when she wants is leading her on in some way because at least hes still talking to her. i wonder if he had just stopped altogether if she would have continued.
I just really enjoy Dohwas character honestly. I like seeing the interactions he has with Su-ae. it makes me kinda sad that hes just a third wheel. I know most likely she isnt going to end up with him since hes just the second lead but I hope he also gets a happy ending.
Operation: True Love Vol. 2 really hit me harder than I expected — it’s that volume where the story shifts from heartbreak to healing, and Su-ae finally starts realizing she deserves better. The art’s absolutely gorgeous (like, screenshot-worthy every few panels), the emotions feel raw and honest, and Eunhyeok’s character depth low-key surprised me. Yeah, the pacing drags in spots and the whole Jellypop-phone mystery kinda fades into the background, but emotionally? It works. You can feel every ounce of Su-ae’s insecurity and slow growth. It’s messy, heartfelt, and painfully relatable. For me, it’s an easy 4/5 — not perfect, but it leaves a mark.
