Book Three of the Reckless Series A Contemporary New Adult College Romance

The stunning conclusion of Ellie and Logan's love story that began on a hot August night in Reckless Longing and continued through the depths of winter in Reckless Secrets...

Ellie

My mother is a liar, a seductress, a keeper of family secrets, and a master manipulator. She took Austin from me. Now she claims she wants forgiveness. But she's after Logan. I know she is. He thinks he can protect me from her. I love him for trying, for playing hero, but he doesn't know her like I do. She'll charm him until he lets his guard down and then she'll strike so quickly he'll never see the attack coming. I may already be too late to stop it.

Logan's love is essential to me, like sunshine and deep nurturing breaths. He's my all. I can't live without him. But there's so much standing in the way of our happiness. As dangerous as she is, Mom is the least of my worries. I'm fighting the darkness Logan is struggling with, the upcoming trial, his family, and sometimes I even think I'm fighting a phantom of myself. But I won't give up. Ever.

Logan

I wish I could make El understand how much I love her, but I'm losing control. She makes me lose control. Since the abuse, that scares me shitless and brings back the guilt and the memories I want to erase. Things that have nothing to do with El, and everything because they affect the man I want to be for her.

I can't face losing her. I don't want her to hear the ugly truth about me, but I have to testify. I have to, even though I'm risking everything and fighting my dad and myself to do it. After it's over, will El still love me? I have to help her reconcile with her mom. Then maybe she'll understand.

This is a contemporary romance with mature themes, language, and situations. Readers should be over 17!

I liked how this book has Logan's POV, I just didn't like how it was written. I was so looking foward to reading this book and now I have mixed feelings on how it ended. I do agree with Logan, Ellie's mom should have come clean about her past, then maybe they could have had a different type of relationship. I don't blame Ellie for not trusting her mom's intention when she has not done anything to prove herself different. The rape of a guy needed to be touched upon because it is true in the book, it is usually overlooked as being impossible. The ending could have been better, kind of a let down. Seems like she kind of rushed the ending. Overall, I liked the series, just mixed feelings on how it ended.

5 BILLION RECKLESS STARS

Well...Alot can be said about this book! :D
GOOD THINGS CAN BE SAID ABOUT THIS BOOK!!!

It picked up right off where book 2 ended with all the lovely drama and angst I thirst for so desperately. I got to know the characters even better. They both faced their demons and now the battle to beat them was in full swing. I must admit, at I hated how Logan was still keeping things from Ellie, knowing now that worked out for the earlier. But at the same time his shame and the need to always be in control help lower my annoyance towards him. He fought so hard to be seen as someone other than a rape victim. Took on so much hatred and teasing with his head held high - always thinking about Ellie and what's best for her. He really loved that girl and I love him so much more because of that personality of his. :D

With Ellie now? All who thought she was perfect, had everything under control. The moment her mom was to visit on Mom Weekend, I got to learn that she's just fronting. It was so real - to see how much power her mother had over her. I like the fact how the author expressed Ellie. How to the outside world she spoke like her mother doesn't affect her, but her impending arrival showed otherwise. She was bitchy, she tried to look perfect and all the teachers her mother instilled in her - she knows them, even if she acting otherwise.

The biggest wow factor in this book, that made me love it without fault? Was the way Ms. Gina made me love the mother! I was literally on one page where the mother spoke about doing her daughter a favor - sleeping w/ Ellie's boyfriend to prove to her he isn't right for her - to another page where she was protecting her daughter, made her the light in the darkness/blood dinner xD (with Logan's peeps)! I was fist pumping and praising the mom! She is just radical! I think she's my fav character!

I know, I know...Crazy!

But for Ms. Gina to manipulate my emotions so freakin' effortlessly?

I'd be sold instantly! *__*

I hated Amber from the start :D
Loved the ending with Logan going all romantic :D
Ellie and her mom working things out ^____^

Damn this book was just recklessly perfect

We finally got to see Logans point of view! I didn't like how the novel had both first person and third person narration. It just confused me. I thought this was a great ending to the series. All the questions I had about the books were answered here. I'm going to be incredibly sad to see Logan and Ellie's love story end. This series was amazing.

Mixed feelings.
Throughout the series I admired El's badass character. Her realistic pain and anger over her mother's actions which was rightly deserved regardless of the outcome of this book. Logan was a sweetheart. And the angst and conclusion of the Jason-father-figure issue was beautiful.

What I cant get over however is the mum otherwise known as Melissa. I don't blame El for wanting to forgive her, SOLELY because El shouldn't have to deal with crappy emotions like pain and betrayal while going through so much else.
But in other contexts did I believe that her mum should be fully forgiven? Hell no.
I know some reviewers are saying how the author made them finally love the mum, throughout the story, I kind of wondered where in hell they were picking up the melissa-is-loveable vibe. Slightly respectable - maybe.

This is the woman who literally made her only daughter's, heck, only child's life a living hell for almost her whole life. She did the worst thing a mother could do, something so irredeemable as sleep with the heroine's then boyfriend. There is no excuse. If she really was doing El a favour she should've warned El of Austin's infedilty, and, if El wished to believe her or not, that was up to El, you live and you learn, right?

But no, this woman sought sexual gratification, and damn the consequences, she did not actually care that she shattered El's heart, she only cared for her 'loneliness' (reinforced by characters saying it) when her daughter finally decided to leave this witch for good, because apparently a daughter is supposed to love her parent no matter how much they fuck up.

There was no genuine communication between El and her mum. Everything her mum said was entirely superficial even when she was trying to make up with her daughter. And even though the author hinted that the mum's superficial words have double meanings, this wasn't a freaking interpretational poetry class! For closure people need to be straightforward, especially parents and children. In this, the novel failed considerably.

This woman so mentally scarred her daughter that she was afraid of getting pregnant of hating her child for 'ruining her life' like her mother always berated El for. She said disturbing things that were very questionable of a mother, like to never trust another woman with your man, after she slept with El's boyfriend.

She even hidden the truth of El's real father, which is every child's right to know regardless of the reason and consequences, IT'S HER RIGHT.

She competed with her for looks and beauty all her teenage years and preyed after young man. Sounds like a peodophile to me who is mentally challenged with the Peter Pan syndrome and thinks she's a teenager.

But this is all forgivable, right? Oh, of course, because her spending two days with El, showing her cool, cougar espionage mode to everyone brought stars to everyone's eyes, and boners to every guys trunks. Hell, even El was described like a starstruck pubescent.
19 years of pain is wrapped up in a neat bow in a record beating two days. Golly! And don't get me wrong I'm completely sympathetic to the rape cause, having spoken to victims, it's a total mindfuck. I felt sorry for Logan, i know how it feels to lose control and desperately want it back, I know how messy it makes life. But that is never an excuse to abuse others. And Logan is a good example of a strong victim, all victims of this are.

I hate how the author explains dear old Mum's harrowing, abusive actions away because of an incident that happened twenty years ago. Compare this to how Logan and Kelsie dealt with their rape experiences, and how fresh and recent this was and you'll see a big difference with people who are trying to cope and someone who is just dragging up the past to explain her bad actions away. It explains nothing. This is no excuse to hurt her only daughter, the only person biologically on her side who would have unconditionally loved her. In fact that's exactly why Melissa abused El, because she knew El would still love her. How selfish is that?. As well as patronising El everytime El speaks up on her hurt feelings, as if El's hurt is irrelevant to her mum, because it very much seemed so. It isn't a past trauma that makes a person bad, Exhibit Logan, its the CHARACTER. And Melissa wasn't such a wonderful person before her rape, she was a bitch then too.

I felt sorry for El having to keep this witch company for her most her life without knowing what real parental love was. I was happy that she found Jason and Logan. Melissa's excuse of being a 'bad Mum,' doesn't suffice, she was a Terrible person and El should have cut her off, but kudos to her for being the bigger person.

All in all the series was interesting, and as El said,

'Life wasn't really black and white. It was often completely gray. Sometimes there were no easy answers.'

Wise words I have known aswell. I just wish the book didn t portray the complete opposite. The story would have made more sense if the reconciliation with El and her mum wasn't so cheesy, so 'black and white'. It is human to forgive as well as not to forgive. Not everything can be wrapped up in a neat bow. There was indeed, 'no answers' or excuses, if you will, for Melissa's actions. She was portrayed as selfish and little else.

I really enjoyed the series but I cannot say I like all the characters. Caleb was a bit of a douche, too. And if there happens to be a story on him, I hope he manages to redeem himself. Which is more than i can say for other characters. On the flip side, i found Harlan to be pretty cool 'grey' character, along with Dex, Kelsie, and Bre. I was annoyed how El treated Bre in her time of hardship, Bre had supported El quite a bit. A wacky paring of mine would be Bre and Caleb only to see the Collison sparks fly!

Anyway this is the incredibly long ramble sparked by an emotional and observational response. Enjoy.

Reckless Together is the third book and conclusion to the Reckless series by Gina Robinson. This final book was an amazing conclusion that left the reader satisfied with the ultimate ending.

Reckless Together picks right up where Reckless Secrets left off. Logan Walker and Ellie Martin are back together. They have exposed their secrets and worked through the problems that have torn them apart. Things are looking good until Ellie’s mother decides to force herself back into Ellie’s life. She has recruited Logan to help her achieve this.

Logan is put in a precarious position. While he understands why Ellie is estranged from her mother, he also knows that there is a thin line between hate and love. He also knows that Ellie will never be free until she confronts her feelings towards her mother, finds some kind of resolution good or bad, and finally lets it go. He is fully aware of the type of woman Ellie’s mother is. She is clearly a cougar and out for herself. But there is one thing that both he and Ellie’s mother have in common besides their love for Ellie. That reason draws Logan to Ellie’s mother. She is the only one he can confide in. She is the only one he feels can understand his own personal issues he is dealing with. Now he has to convince Ellie to allow her mother to come for the mother’s weekend at the college.

With the upcoming trial that Logan has to testify in, the impending visit from Ellie’s mother, and Logan’s direction after graduation this couple is under extreme stress and hanging on by a thin line. Add the haunting nightmares, Logan’s controlling family, Logan’s out of control need to help others, and his business venture slowly crashing; it seems like the world is falling apart.

Ellie and Logan are both strong people. They have been through hell and survived. They will survive these obstacles. Hopefully it will be together rather than apart.

Mothers Weekend is just a few days before the trial. Logan’s family is in town and so is Ellie’s mother. When these two families get together it makes the Hatfields and McCoys look like a picnic in the park.

This book has it’s highs and lows. It draws on your sympathy. It leaves you hoping that these two young people will find a common road towards happiness. There will be some huge revelations and surprises that will not only shock but also make you tingle.

Gina Robinson has done a fantastic job with the Reckless series. It is entertaining, fun, emotional, deep, and romantic. I highly recommend this series.

This is actually the 3rd book in Gina Robinson’s Reckless series…considering that I actually didn’t read that 1st & 2nd books, I was surprised by how much I enjoyed this book. I would suggest reading the other books prior to reading this one, just to have a better understanding of what’s going on, but I was able to follow the storyline and get the basic history of the characters from helpful “flashback” scenes that Gina so thoughtfully weaved into the plot.

I’m pretty impressed with the characters Gina has created for this series, they are all so multi-dimensional with very diverse and engaging personalities. Gina is truly gifted in this area, which is specifically showcased in the way she took me from despising Ellie’s Mother, Melissa, at the beginning of the book…to absolutely adoring her by the end. What made the transition believable for me, was the subtle way Gina went about doing this, instead of a quick and improbable one-time action or deed, Gina rationed out insights of Melissa’s genuine efforts to repair the relationship she destroyed with her daughter, Ellie, and reveal a traumatic experience in Melissa’s past that helped to explain the reason behind some of Melissa’s poor judgment and unhealthy behaviors. Ironically, based upon my initial dislike of Melissa, she turned out to be my favorite character.

Ok, so now that I feel I’ve kinda done this a little “ass-backward”, by highlighting more of a side character than the leads, let me say that I also liked the main characters… Ellie and Logan, as well. Lemme see if I can explain this correctly, even though Ellie and Logan both seemed like the stereotypical Mr. & Mrs. Hottie of the college campus scene, they were also so much more…and every layer that Gina attributed to them not only reflected original perspective, but also maintained a refreshing semblance of realism. And that combination certainly sets the stage for readers to form strong connections with a book’s characters and an emotional investment in their journeys.

Like the previous two books this one didn't disappoint either!

I really liked the backdrop for this novel - "mom on campus weekend". I found it interesting and wished there was such a thing when I was in university :)

Ellie was still her wonderful self, thinking of everyone before herself. Though I have to say that I kind of felt frustrated with her for that. On a few occasions I wish I could hit her over the head and tell her to be little more selfish as some of the things that happened really got to me.

Logan's love for Ellie truly showed in this book and as his demons persisted, I felt bad for him and the difficult situation that it put his relationship with Ellie. Though I have to admit, that I felt some frustration about his naiveté when it came to Kelsey and how easily he trusted El's mom. Yes, they had a bond, but none the less...

Now, El's mom somewhat surprised me in a very positive way, but I still didn't trust her and probably never would have. Yes, she has gone through a horrible ordeal herself and seemed to have good reasons for her life choices (except Austin - lame excuse there), but still...

Overall, a great read that brought events of all three books nicely together and resolved all the issues left "hang" from the first and second book.

So FOUR VERY HAPPY EVER AFTER stars for this one.

I loved this series period because, Gina did such an awesome job with all the characters, that you almost feel like a part of the book. I laughed out-loud a few times, teared up a few times but fell in love with them all. I hate to see them go :(

I loved Ellie because she is such a great girl although she was hurt badly by her mom and her ex boyfriend. Through this her guard is up but can only be brought down by Logan. In turn Ellie is the only one that can bring his down.

I really loved Logan because although he's the campus hottie he also has his own set of issues that makes him a lot different from the other guys on campus. He's a celebrity because of the horror he has gone through. That being said, he is working to help keep others safe and it tends to get in the middle of him and Ellie's plans quite often. Besides that a few of his exs hanging around tend to thin out Ellies patience. Will Logan fall into his old ways of being a womanizer?
Can their love alone keep them together or will their past ruin them?

Bravo Gina I think you ended this series perfectly!! I look forward to reading more of your contemporary romance/NA work. I hope all of you will take the time to read this series because if you start this series you WILL NOT want to put it down.. Five stars have been granted :)

This is the third book in the series and cannot be read as a stand alone book.

This book also follows directly on from the previous book and the final questions get answered and we get a happy ending alone with a sense of peace.

In this book we get more secrets along with Logans trial and we finally meet Ellie's mother Melissa and find out more about why she is like she is. I actually grew to like her mother, especially the way she looked after Ellie and Logan and helped out where she needed too.

I liked that we had Logan's point of view in this book too, i just felt that it was written wrong. Where Ellie's point of view is in the first person, Logan's point of view was in the third person, and it just did not work that way.

I would have loved the book to have anded with an epilogue to find out how the dynamic of everything would have panned out 6 months later when everything had settled down, but otherwise this book was better than the other books.

Meh. It wasn’t terrible, but I can’t say I was in love with this one. It did take me nearly two whole months to get through it. I want super crazy about the ending. It just seemed kinda rushed to me. Like, all our problems suddenly got resolved in the last two or three chapters. Also, this book has some heavy subject matter…like, HEAVY. Not the worst book I’ve ever read, but I don’t see this being something I reread.

So much has been uncovered for Ellie her mother has finally told her why she never mentioned her father. She finds out why her boyfriend has some sort of connection with her mother. But can she learn to forgive the woman who betrayed her? Will Ellie get to know Jason her father or will other figures come in between them.

This review is for al 3 books in the series.
What a great story. So much secrets and lies. The developing relationship between our main characters is not an easy road but with the good and bad advice offered by friends and family our characters seem to find a way to make things work.
Can love overcome everything. This is definitely a one click series.

Ok, I would have love to give more than 3 stars.
It s totally my fault, I didn't read the books 1&2 from the Reckless serie.
When I 'applied' to review Reckless Together, I didn't see that there was a sequel. So again sorry.
At first I wanted to stop reading and concentrate on books Reckless longing and Reckless Secrets, but we had a very short time to produce a review so I was a bit stuck.
Anyway, it was a quick read and I liked it even if it was hard for me to understand everything.
Gina Robinson definitely has a deft pen !
Both Ellie and Logan are very lovable characters.
I look forward to reading the first 2 books now !

This was a good book and a good conclusion to Ellie and Logan's story. Ellie and Logan are back together again but there are things they are both dealing with. They have to find a way to move forward.

Ellie is really happy to be back together with Logan and to have her father and his wife and other daughter in her life. Logan has been in contact with her mother to try to keep her from interfering in Ellie's life. So it just makes El that much more worried that her mother will find a way to take Logan away and destroy her happiness again. She's trying to help him with his fears and worries but she doesn't know what to do.

Logan has so much on his mind and so many worries. He's about to graduate from college and he's trying to figure out what he's going to do in the future. The trial against his former Chemistry Professor is coming up and he's going to testify with that. He's trying to help Ellie to get past and forgive her mother for her own sake. After the horror that he experienced, he has taught himself to be able to control his own body. But with Ellie, he loses control and it causes more worries for him.

Worth reading.

Like the first two books I enjoyed this and much more.

I would really miss Ellie and Logan. The first time I've read about them I totally loved them and seeing as this is the last book of the series it just makes me sad. It was an emotional ride for me with both the ups and downs in this book but in the end it turned out for the better. I never expected that of Ellie's mother and putting into light of what really happened even if it weren't the right choice that time made me like her. At least she was able to fix her relationship with her daughter unlike in some other books.

I'm the type of person that I'd like the problem to be solve at once but here it doesn't. The way Ms. Gina wrote the flow of the story was just right and the way she wrote the emotions was something. I can totally feel for these characters.

This was a fast paced story and it kind of felt short to me because I couldn't stop reading it. Although I wished there was more to the ending but it would do.

*ARC given to me by the Author in exchange for my honest review*

First I want to explain that I did not read the first 2 books in the series. Even though I did not I still really loved this book. The author does a great job keeping you hooked.

Ellie is a girl who continues to keep her guard up because of her mom and ex boyfriend and only Logan can bring it down. When her mom starts making up for everything she has done she finally shares with Ellie something that happened in her past. Even though Logan is going through a lot with the trial Ellie is still there but when his ex girlfriends start hanging around she is worried he might go back to his old ways.

I loved this story and can't wait to read the first 2. You really get a good in depth look at the characters especially with all the twists and turns.

First of all I have to say that I'm extremely grateful I got to read book 1 and 2 before reviewing this one which I originally signed up for. I don't think I would have known how to rate it as a stand alone....

This was a perfect way to end this series although I hate for it to end. At first I almost thought this story would only revolve around Melissa but it actually went more into depth with everyone. I have to say I was shocked about her past and how much she related to Logan not to mention the real reason she never wanted El to find out about her father!
it was amazing twist to the story. I felt like I could relate with the emotions described as I read...

I have to say this story definitely deserves all 5 stars, beautifully written with a wonderful ending! :)
I'm really interested on reading others from this author.

"My mother is a liar, a seductress, a keeper of family secrets, and a master manipulator"

Yeah, not a mother I'd be proud to call, 'mom'. It's truth time! Can Ellie ever forgive her mother for what she has done?

Ellie and Logan are a young college couple in love, each trying to overcome tragic events that deal with abuse and betrayal. They both want to protect the other, but they both know they need to learn to forgive and trust in order to move forward in their relationship. I loved Ellie and Logan every step of the way!

Loved this series! Book three, Reckless Together, was by far my favorite!

I would definitely recommend reading them in order as each book continues from where the previous left off. Great read!!!

I got a free copy of this book for an honest review.

The other books should definitely be read first. This one picks up right where the last one left off. I had to go back and re-read the end so I knew what was going on.

I enjoyed this book. I love Logan and Ellie together. I liked how the problems from the first book were finally wrapped up. It was an easy read but dragged during parts for me.

I was so excited when I realized we were finally going to get Logan’s perspective but it was written in third person while Ellie’s was in first. I love the dual perspectives but I prefer them to either both be in first person or third but that is just me.

Overall… good book, good series.

I loved this series! I really believed in the story and in the characters. What I loved most about this story was that it wasn't just about falling in love. Sometimes with romance, I feel that the love story is shoved in your face but with this series, both Ellie and Logan had their own stories, their own agendas and their own goals as individuals. Them falling for each other wasn't forced and that made it feel real.

Reckless Together was a great ending to a really enjoyable series. I will definitely be checking out more of Gina Robinsons books!

Sweet and Heart Touching

A solid five stars...and yes I would recommend this series as a read.

I've really enjoyed this installment to the series. It has been good journey with Ellie and Logan. The two characters grew so much in the novels. They each learned that the worst demons were the ones inside. I'm thrilled to see a good happy ending. Poor Logan went through so much for a man and Ellie with her mother. I gotta say I didn't like Melissa in the first two books but she almost redeemed herself in this one. She has a sick twisted way of showing her love as a mother but she does love Ellie. It's sad to see it end but all good things do have to end eventually.

The first book was really cute and I liked it a lot. The second one was messy, I felt it wasn't realistic and really made up. This one started that way too but it started to become less dramatic and retake the cuteness of the first. I got to see the mature, sweet girl of the first book and not the liar and messy one from the second. The guy lose the charm for a while and took it back again as the books was finishing. I don't know really what to think, it was all in all a good story, it kept me entertained and really in the book, even when the stuff happening was annoying me. Might do a review later in my blog if I'm up to it. Got a deadline to deliver soon though, so I'm off to work! xD

This was an enjoyable series, but I have a few issues with the way this author ended each book, which is why I could never give any of the books a full 5 stars.

This one was good, but the flirty chemistry between Ellie and Logan that was missing from the second book still hadn't quite returned and was instead replaced with sex. And, for a perfect hat trick, the ending was wrapped in way too neat of a bow, causing it to lose a little realism.

Also, beware of the dual POV for this book. I was super excited about that until I realized that while Ellie's is still in first person, Logan's switches to third person. It didn't flow well at all.

I hadn't read the first two of this series and so it was hard for me to get into it. The writing was absolutely solid and I really liked Ellie and her mother's relationship. It was so over the top that it was almost comical.

Hard times fall on a woman and man and it is a story about how they overcome those obstacles and tragedies. I would have liked to have had the time to read the first two, but with so little time, I feel like I could have gotten more out of it. I am sorry for that.

More to come when I read the other books..

I read the first two books and for the most part I loved them. But this book kind of fell short. Through most of the book I hated Logan, he went against everything anyone told him. I understand he went through something terrible but he was so naïve about a lot of things, like talking to Ellie's mom. I just wanted to shake him and get him to realize that he was ruining relationships everywhere. Other than that the book was great I loved the other two and this one fit right in. That's why I gave this book the 4 stars instead of 5.

Can't believe its over. I loved this book I loved that there was so much drama, secrets and surprises to keep me hooked. There was so much going on that I can easily make many guesses of how the outcomes would come out and never turn out right. I would love to gush more about how much I loved this book and the reasons why but not sure how to come about it without spoiling the book so I highly recommend you lovely readers to check out. Trust me you won't be disappointed! 5 of 5 stars!

This is such a great series. It has you hooked from book one. It keeps up from where book two ended. Every page has you holding your breath hoping that it all works out. You can feel every emotion that is spilled through the pages that you are reading. this story makes you want to jump in the book and just give Ellie a hug, you just want to protect her from her mom and what her ex-boyfriend did to her. but after you hear why you understand. the author did a great job on this series.
