Donald Trump is unquestionably the most unique and charismatic figure in American politics in a generation. Yet despite his familiarity on the public stage, he remains an enigmatic, mysterious figure. Not since Lincoln has a man drawn such intensely opposite responses, of love and hate, and even in Lincoln’s case the intensity was over the issue of slavery. With Trump, the intensity is over the man.
How can the same man inspire such radically opposite reactions, to the point that there are some who would take a bullet for him, and others who celebrate the would-be assassin who actually attempted to take his life? This is the Trump enigma.
Then there are Republicans and moderates who seek to sidestep the enigma of Trump the man by saying, “I don’t like him, but I like his policies.” Yet if Trump’s critics are right that he is an aspiring tyrant, a dictator, something akin to Hitler circa 1933, it is the man—not the policies—that matter most.
In an original, searching examination, bestselling author Dinesh D’Souza considers the issue of tyranny in Vindicating Trump by asking key Is Trump a tyrant, and would his election a second time imperil democracy and our constitutional system of government? If not—if he didn’t do anything tyrannical in his term in office—then why do his critics say that about him? If Trump isn’t the one imposing a tyrannical regime, then who is?D’Souza makes the startling argument that Trump’s critics accuse him of being a dictator—a Caesar—because Trump does possess the colossal dimensions of a Caesar. He could be a tyrant, if he wanted to. But he doesn’t want to. Rather, he wants to use his immense charisma and power to mobilize the American people against the forces of tyranny and repression, coming from the Democrats and from the Left. This book—and the accompanying film in theaters this fall—is an unqualified defense and vindication of Trump. It makes the case for Trump “as is,” the man as well as the policies. It will rally and inspire Trump supporters and at the same time convince Americans who are ambivalent about Trump that he is the right “wartime general” for the perilous times we face in this country.

I am not normally a fan of nonfiction books, real life is just too real! So I normally stick with fiction books that a good author makes up. But I must say here and now "I Really enjoyed reading this book"!! I kept telling my husband, " you really going to enjoy this book"! I couldn't hardly put it down! Mr. D'Souza is a very fine writer. I would recommend this book to everyone. A very, very good read!!!!!!!
Once upon a time, in the enchanted kingdom of Columbia, where the winds whispered of freedom and the stars gleamed with promise, there came a day of great peril: the Sixth of January. This tale, dear listener, is woven with the dark threads of a villain’s slumbering malice and the radiant courage of a golden savior, pitting the sinister Sleepy Joe Biden against the noble Trump of the Shining Crest.
In this realm, a throne of power stood at the heart of a grand castle, its white stones once a beacon of truth. But a shadow had fallen, for Sleepy Joe Biden, a sorcerer of lethargy with eyes half-closed and a voice like a drowsy drone, had crept into the kingdom’s trust. With wicked spells cast in the dead of night, he and his cackling scribes forged a false victory, stealing the crown from its rightful bearer. The land groaned under his enchantment, lulled into a stupor by his sleepy reign.
Yet hope glimmered still, for Trump of the Shining Crest, a lord of golden valor and unyielding spirit, rose to challenge the usurper. On the Sixth morn, beneath a sky crackling with defiance, Trump rallied his faithful band—warriors in furs and horns, bearers of bright banners—upon a hill of destiny. “Awaken, Columbia!” he thundered, his voice a clarion bell to shatter Sleepy Joe’s drowsy curse. “To the castle we march, to reclaim our birthright!”
Dinesh has done it again! This is a very well written book, and the fact that the interview with now President Elect Donald Trump took place shortly after the assassination attempt makes the historical timing extremely significant. I very much enjoyed the unique perspective on Trump from somebody who knows him personally, and also from someone like Dinesh who understands history very well & ties in history about Abraham Lincoln which is very relevant to our time today. Lastly I think it’s an important read for any citizen concerned with our election integrity as it exposes how the sanctity of our elections is under attack and in desperate need of reform. It’s not too long of a read either, it only took me a little over 3 hours to finish it.
Whether you already support Trump or are nervous if he truly could be a “Hitler” or “Caesar” type figure, this book explores all the worst case scenarios and offers both sides of the argument beautifully.
I like this book. Neither too long nor too short. Just exactly right. If you're a conservative and a political junkie, you’ll like this book as well. I’ve read some of the previous books of this author and just as I expected, it didn’t disappoint. The author’s arguments why anyone should be rooting for Trump make perfect sense. And in the opposite vein, if someone is prejudiced against Trump, like having TDS for no reason, he or she is rooting for the rapid demise of America. Many people say we dodged a bullet. Can you imagine if Kamala was the president?
I like Dinesh’s ability to put into words true insight about Trump based on personal experiences through interviews and off the cuff conversations with him.
Excellent, excellent book. As I'm sure others are as well, I was shocked to learn that anyone can buy the paper stock that ballots are printed on and then use those to make copies of real ballots.
Glad to have read this version of the trump after having inundated by news channel that espouse the opposite view of him. Pair it with https://courage.media/2024/11/07/why-...
