The sun-washed saga continues as Vanessa reconnects with Noah Ellison, the only man she's ever truly loved, and the two of them wade through a rocky reunion. With Noah back in town, Emily is now getting to know her biological father, bringing on a fresh set of challenges and excitement as her new life with her birth parents unfolds.
Gloria and Daisy's once-tight bond as mother and daughter reaches a breaking point with Daisy's wedding looming, and Gloria struggles to save the fragile relationship and protect her daughter from making a tragic mistake.
All the while, Vanessa and Gloria dig deep into the truth about their mother's mysterious death, uncovering shocking revelations and secrets that could change their lives forever.
Through every up and down, the women of Rosemary Beach stick together and lean on each other, proving that all wounds can be healed with sisterhood, motherhood, friendship, and a little help from the beach.
The Young at Heart Series
In a heartwarming saga of family, friendship, and forgiveness, Vanessa Young and her long-lost daughter, Emily, reunite after thirty years. Together, they embark on a fresh start against the backdrop of white sand beaches and the colorful, small town charm of Rosemary Beach, Florida. As they navigate a sea of new challenges and old wounds, the women find themselves surrounded by the loving embrace of close family and dear friends. The extensive cast of characters faces all of life's ups and downs with laughter, joy, and unwavering love.
This is a fun return to Rosemary Beach. It’s a roller coaster of emotions as Vanessa, Gloria, Emily, Daisy, and Noah navigate through changes, shocks and surprises, heartbreak and regrets, fears, anger, and struggling with forgiveness. Through it all, family is key. And of course, Cricket has a few schemes to try to make everyone’s dreams come true! I loved this book and look forward to #3!
Another installment in Rosemary Beach, and it is another great book. Gloria and Vanessa find out secrets their father was keeping for a very long time and try to figure out how to deal with it as well as Vanessa and Noah seeing each other again and trying to come to terms with their past. This is so great , and I can't wait until book #3.
So far I'm liking this story line. I like the way the author tells you about each character and what they are going through. Can't wait to read the next one
Enjoyable second book in the series. Scott knows how to get you interested. I read the whole Cocoa Beach series (this one follows a character from that). For the most part, the characters are upbeat and friendly, and the baddies are deliciously bad. However, I have to admit I thought Cricket's meddling was over the top, and everyone's acceptance of it a bit simplistic. Also, the two grown daughters should have assumed a person living in memory care for five years wouldn't be ready for a conversation about past transgressions. But Scott pulls you in and I'll probably read the next book in the series.
I want to live in Rosemary Beach! Talk about a good time and a good read, Cecelia Scott hit it out of the park. Old Friends in R/B has it all: Love-Hate; Fun-Misery; Tears-Joy. I loved catching up with everyone, the ever scheming Cricket (who reminds me of my mother-in-law), Emily, Reed, Daisy, Kyle, the hoity toity Linda, Noah, and Vanessa and Gloria as they traverse uncharted territory with their Mother’s “fake” death. Can’t wait to see what happens with Christian and Jeremy. Just wish they played for the North Siders! Thank you for the ARC copy.
Old Friends in Rosemary Beach by Cecelia Scott⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
2nd book in the series. Can read as stand alone because it tells the back story, however I preferred to read book 1 first.
Many new turns and turns as well as unexpected events to keep you wondering what will happen next and to whom. I'm glad forgiveness and healing is the main plot in this book.
I can't wait to see what will happen in book 3. Yes there is a third book coming out. Keep your eyes open.
The second book in the Rosemary Beach series is filled with a lot of twists and turns. Gloria and Vanessa face a huge shock from the past. Daisy makes a huge decision of her own. Cricket is trying to keep Noah in Rosemary Beach and running through scenarios of how to do it and fate steps in and does it for her. Young at Heart finally opens and looks to be successful. So much going on and really hard to put the book down.
What a heartwarming story of a family reunited, new adventures and exciting relationships! The drama, the mystery, the friendships, the love this family has for one another is awesome. It is so much fun to share in their unfolding journey. I am so looking forward to each new book and watching this precious family’s lives blossom! Loved this book! Cecilia Scott nailed it once again!2
Old Friends in Rosemary Beach is the second in the Young at Heart series , and we get a closer look at the family dynamics and family secrets that will rock Vanessa and Gloria’s world. There are beginnings and endings and second chances and forgiveness. Love this series!
I just finished reading Book 2 of Fiona Baker's Young at Heart series and have learned that she is working on Book 3. I am so glad because this is one of her best. The development of characters and the storyline is riveting.
Old Friends in Rosemary Beach is book two in Cecelia Sott’s Young at Heart series. We experience all the family drama, angst, confusion, fears, and anger as Vanessa, Gloria, Emily, Daisy, and Noah work through the emotions of the past three decades. Love is the strong foundation to help this family muddle through, working towards forgiveness. There is an opportunity for second chances to rekindle a lost love, if only the past hurts can be forgiven. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and can’t wait for the third book!
