About BSF Our mission is global, in-depth Bible studies producing passionate commitment to Christ, His Word and His Church. Our vision is to magnify God and mature His people.
Our History “One Willing Servant” depicts how God inspired our founder, Audrey Wetherell Johnson, a British missionary to China, who had been forced to leave, to start Bible Study Fellowship. Miss Johnson’s first group of five women grew until groups sprang up all across the U.S., and ultimately around the globe. By 1980, Miss Johnson had been writing BSF lessons and leading a blossoming ministry for more than 25 years. Her decision to retire led to a major move for the organization to San Antonio, Texas. Today, Bible Study Fellowship – through Men’s, Women’s, Student, Children’s and Newborn groups, BSF Online and BSF’s WordGo app — serves more than 400,000 class members on six continents in more than 120 nations.
I completed Revelation: The Hope during the Sept 2024 to April 2025 school year. This was an excellent study on John's apocalyptic writings that also engages the student in concept studies and parallel passages.
Want to join in? Bible Study Fellowship is an international organization that has a great ministry going on around the world from September through April (Northern hemisphere school year). Meetings are held both in person and online. Study groups are divided by gender men and men, women with women, and many onsite women's study locations offer a study for students from 1st through 12th grade. https://join.bsfinternational.org/fin...
This was a bittersweet study to walk through and finally finish. It was good for my soul to ponder God’s plan to restore this broken world and to make all things new. It was also a gift to walk through this study in my community during a year of sickness and eventual death with my Daddy. The new Jerusalem and the hope of heaven are even more personal today than yesterday. “Come, Lord Jesus.”
I believe the true value of any Bible study is the interaction between the group members, so for that it was five stars. So glad I did it. The study itself I felt could have gone deeper into the actual study of the Bible and underlying Hebrew meanings of words and the concordance between all the prophecies and the book of Revelation. They touched on that but could have been more. The book was very repetitive in asking questions about salvation and sharing the word. Like all 30 lessons had questions on that. It was very old even after the second lesson. These are my reasons for the three star review. It was good to do but the book could’ve been way better
This was my first experience with BSF (Bible Study Fellowship) and starting that for the first time as well as tackling the book of Revelation made me skeptical that I would enjoy it AND also grow-- but I did!
First of all, I have always judged BSF quite a bit and stayed away from it over the years-- but I'm happy to report that all of my judgement was unfounded and it is a very positive experience for anyone who wants to study the word of God and discuss it with others.
Second-- I have never studied the book of Revelation before. I've read it as part of Bible reading plans before, but never took the time to learn it. Other than any semons that my pastors have taught over the years, I actually knew very little about the book. So to study it over a 32-week time period was so good-- I understand it at a level I never could have by reading it on my own. All those illustrations and the symbolism of Revelation is no longer 'scary' to me and I can read it all now with understanding. Revelation IS really a book of Hope. And Hope is exactly what my heart needed for this past year.
This was the 2024-2025 BSF study on the book of Revelation. BSF reinforces what you learn through a three prong approach of a study lesson each week, a small group discussion, then a lecture. There was so much to be leaned from this lesson, but I will have to agree with others that it was redundant and repetitive with the questions in the lessons, which you then discussed in small group interactions. Regardless, there was always great material each week and I am so happy to have done this for a second year. It has grown me in many ways in how I read and interpret the Bible and gets me thinking on various levels and has continued to grow my spiritual maturity.
This was an incredible in-depth study of Revelation. I am really glad I was able to participate in BSF this year. It was my first year to do BSF and I really enjoyed what I learned. I supplemented with sermons from a trusted local pastor which really elevated the study. I think without these extra sermons I would have learned much less since BSF took a Birds Eye view overview of Revelation and how it relates to the rest of the Bible.
I have been doing BSF for years, and this is by far the best study I have ever done. I felt closer to God and my fellow classmates. Not only that, but at the beginning of the class, we experienced Helene. I believe that experience gave us all a new insight into what will go on in the future. How suddenly things can change. I feel like we bonded as we supported each other in prayer.
I think the set up is great. It really makes you dig in and then AFTER you answer the questions, after you have read the verses, after you have listened to the lecture, it summarizes before moving on. My only problem with it was it was too long and many of the questions were redundant.
Amazing study that didn’t take you too far into the weeds of Revelation. 4 stars purely for the repetition of questions, and filler weeks that lacked depth. Otherwise, incredibly blessed through this study and it will always sit on my shelf!
