I'm a reader, first and foremost. Just like everyone else.

I love books that are just out there. From fluffy to pitch-black darkness. Monsters and aliens to the men who haunt your dreams painting the walls in red.

My love for reading and writing reviews has led me down the road of becoming a writer myself, thanks to the encouragement of others!

I'm not sure where this journey will lead me, but I hope I can breathe life into words the way so many others have done for me when I needed an escape.

Anthologies are based around one concept and often introduce readers to new authors usually through a novella or short story. Tempest- A Hydroverse novel has six shorts that deal with finding love under the water. They were all good. Theses were my favorites.
YD Lama's Into the Depths is about a marine biologist who finds herself in an unusual triad. With an alien with scales. And a kaiju, a 'strange creature' out of anime and monster movies. Think Godzilla. Quite a steamer here. Fun and quick with a touch of danger.
Tal Wyndham's Exciting as the Ocean is about a former Olympic gold medal swimmer. Bored with competing on Earth, his plan is to travel the stars and compete against alien aquatic species. A little conceited, he meets his match in a blue skinned, psychic being. With tentacles. Yum.
Dani Carr's Rescued by my Mates was a touch dark, a lot angsty. Another triad story, it ended on a maybe HFN. It's quite short and felt a bit unfinished. I wanted the other half of the story/
Holly Hanzo's Aquatic Entanglement is about a deep ocean dive that goes horribly wrong. And then smexily right. A diver is captured by a jellyfish/humanoid species and is found to be the leader's mate. Public sex. And tentacles.
Lots of good reading. Quick stories. Good fodder for night and day dreams.
I received an advanced copy of this book and this is my review.

5*This review is for: Into The Depth by YD La Mar
Marine biologist Keo is on a mission to see what is in this watery world when she sees the sea monster. Her submarine was sabotaged, he saves her and keeps her as his pet.
This world underwater is new territory for me. Our author gives us great plot twists, unable to communicate, fated mates and so much steam.

5* This review is for: Rescued by my Mates by Dani Carr
Zarah was born with a brain tumor and was abandoned when she was a baby. She scrapes by, no one wants to hire her long-term since she doesn't have long term. Then she hears of an offer she can't refuse. She can be healed if she becomes a companion to vampires.
This story is too short and very good. I do hope Dani will expand on it someday soon. This underwater world has so much more to give us.

5*This review is for: Between the Stars and Tides by Tia Fanning
Lisa was conned. Her dream trip was a scam, though she denied it for some time. But when the appearance of the shifty crew members changed, reality struck. Crashing on Hydroverse had to be better than being trafficked, right?
A short but well written tale about hope, despair, loneliness and somehow across the stars finding your mate.

Tempest: A Hydroverse Anthology has stories by YD La Mar, Tia Fanning, Dani Carr, Holly Hanzo, and Tal Wyndham. It contains a variety of romances taking place in the Hydroverse, a galaxy filled with water-dominant planets, between a variety of aquatic species.
These stories have some pretty amazing world-building. Readers are given some vivid descriptions of the alien worlds and the species found throughout them. These stories are spicy with a range of relationships.
Into The Depts by YD La Mar has a human scientist, her sweet co-worker, and a giant-sized creature from the depts with unique powers. The kaiju desires her as a mate to repopulate his planet, and her co-worker is her soulmate and can't resist claiming her instead of losing her to his giant competition. Can they all make it work?
If you enjoy aquatic alien romances with plenty of spice, you'll enjoy these stories. As an anthology, these tales are short but provide plenty of variety for readers. There are tales of scientists and swimmers and the spicy relationships they find. There are possessive alpha males and cinnamon roll sweeties. These tales are perfect for those spice lovers with a desire for aquatic adventure and unique partners.

Review for "Rescued by my Mates" by Dani Carr:

As usual for an anthology piece, Rescued by my Mates is a short story. It is set in a paranormal future, where a bunch of humans and paranormal beings have been transported to another planet, and try to live (or survive) there together. I have to say I'm fascinated by this world, and I'm actually looking forward to explore more of it in a future story by this author. There isn't much to explore in a few chapters, but what I've seen so far is quite intriguing. The only thing that bothered me a little, was how the spice came a bit out of nowhere. It felt like I was watching an intriguing film, and all of a sudden it turned into a... different type of film, if you catch my meaning. Perhaps it's just because I loved the world, but the switch was a bit much for me. But if you like spicy antho pieces, this might be precisely the thing you're looking for.

Anthologies are such a fun concept! Not only do you get snippets into multiple new worlds and unique characters, but you also get to discover new authors! With an underlining water theme, each story in Tempest will take readers through new worlds and across galaxies! It really was a fun time with sprinklings of romance. I am looking forward to completing the anthology as I only got a chance to read Into The Depths by YD La Mar. This story focused on a marine biologist discovering a sea monster who saves her only to keep her captive. What she didn't realize is that her fated mate would be found in the deep waters.

Variety is the spice of life!

I have always been a fan of Anthologies. Finding interesting short stories that can introduce you to new authors. Tempest was an enjoyable read and has a little something for everyone. I had some stories I loved and some, not so much, but it depends on what your tastes are for which stories will be your favorites. My favorites were Into the Depths, Rescued by my Mates and Aquatic Entanglement. I enjoyed reading this Anthology and would recommend checking it out, find out which stories peak your interests.

Making All My Under The Sea Dreams Come True.

If you are looking for Little Mermaid vibes with scales and tentacles. This is definitely for you.
The stories while short are well written and entertaining.
Perfect for lunch breaks or waiting for school pick up.
Something for everyone in this anthology.

YD L M's Into The Depth is definitely a favourite.
As always their stories are full of steam and fantastic characters.
I loved the unable to communicate trope with Keo being kept as a pet.

I love Anthologies as we get to enjoy different types of worlds that I normally wouldn’t read.
I love reading stories by multiple authors.

One story is about a Marine Biologist who ends up discovering a sea monster who she ends up saving. To be only then captured by the same sea monster who she saved. What she hadn’t found out was that her fated mate could be found in the deeper waters.

This book is definitely worth the read and you won’t want to put it down and does have a story for each reader that they will love.

This book is a collection of short stories concerning humans as they interact with aliens in sea settings on different planets. The short stories show how love can come between individuals of different world and different descriptions. I really enjoyed the short”story “Into the Depths”, Y.D. wrote and “Between Stars and Tides by Tia. Do take the time and get this book of short stories, very worth your time.

This book features 6 spicy romances. I kept waiting for further plot to develop before realising that these Anthologies whilst having a plot and an initial encounter between the main character and love interest or interests do move very quickly. Thats what makes them anthologies. They all feature lots of smut and interesting 🍆. They are well written with stories that play out very quickly and most end with a HEA.

Ooh, this anthology was spicy and exciting in all the ways that count. It's a dive straight into fantastical, water worlds that take our imaginations to new heights.

Each author in this anthology contributes an epic story that will get you hooked on aliens and sci-fi. You can actually see the steam rising from the water, it's so hot. I was introduced to new authors that I would have otherwise missed.

I 100% recommend taking a walk on the wild side and read this anthology.

Tempest: A Hydroverse Anthology
I don’t usually read a lot of anthologies, but I absolutely loved this collection! Paranormal and science fiction are two of my favorite genres, so I was excited to dive into these steamy, short stories by a variety of authors. From humans to aliens, the mix of stories kept me hooked. I’ll definitely be checking out more full-length books from the authors featured here!

Tempest: A Hydorverse Anthology is a fantastic selection of water world reads. They are unique and wonderfully written. The world building in each story is beautifully done. Into The Depth by YD La Mar is one of my favorite stories in this anthology. Keo, a marine biologist, goes on a mission to discover what is in the water. While on her mission she encounters a sea monster. He saves her and decides to keep her. Will she escape or stay?

Nifty set of short stories, from a sapphic retelling of the little mermaid (with a slight sprinkling of Greek mythology), to a Kaiju love triangle, to a MM olympic swimmer it's got something for everyone. Fast read and fun.

Warning: does contain some dubcon/noncon scenes so proceed with caution if that's not your thing.

As with most anthologies there are stories that you like more than others, that is my opinion here. My favourite was Aquatic Entanglement. The stories were different, short, interesting and showed great imagination for the most part. Certainly worth checking out as we all like a mix of human and aliens 😉 don't we.

I always love a good anthology as I usually end up adding more books to my TBR pile! Tempest has dark sci-fi stories which if that's not your cup of tea then please don't read. But if you love the sci-fi and different galaxy set-up and some spice mixed in then please read! This has a mix of authors but based in an underwater world.

They are all fantastic stories with great character I would hate to pick a favourite because I couldn't as they all have amazing worlds. Definitely recommend.

.This was a wonderful collection of hydroverse stories. This review is primarily for: Into The Depth by YD La Mar. There were some really great plot twists, and I loved the world building in this story, as well as the characters. Even with communication issues, the monster is very clear, and finds a way to make what he wants to happen. Great read!

I love anthologies. I love getting acquainted to new authors and new characters and in this case. New monsters. I loved the way that all the stories had a subtle underlying water theme connecting them all but other than that they were all they’re own adventures. And I loved them all.
