I’ve been a reader for over 60 years and this series is one of my all-time favorites! Ms. workman has woven another spellbinding tale of mystery, magic, and suspense. She is an expert at her craft, creating relatable characters and intricate plots. All of her books are highly recommended! It’s a standalone book meaning you can read it on its own but the series is full of really great stories featuring Reg Rawlins. I have enjoyed every book I have read by this author and this book is no exception. It’s full of action, mystery and excitement. The author writes books that captivate the audience- with lots of details woven into the story to make you feel like you are part of the story. Solid A+

Treachery!

Tensions between the warlocks and the werewolves of Black Sands is at an all-time high as Reg and her cohorts undertake a quest to recover an ancient artifact that might be the key to repairing the rift between the clans before irreparable harm is done. Oddly, no one seems overly enthusiastic about joining her on this noble quest but, as usual, Reg is quite determined. I love following Reg on her escapades as they are always exciting and full of twists I never see coming. With treachery and deceit on both sides, Reg certainly has her hands full. P. D. Workman has proven to be a prolific author with boundless imagination and a bounty of whimsy that is sure to entertain any fan of paranormal cozies. I shall anxiously anticipate the next incredible adventure.

This is a continuation of the Reg Rawlins series, so I'd say it's important to read the previous books in the series to get the bigger picture, but you could read this as a stand-alone you just won't see the bigger story.

Without spoiling too much from the last book, Reg is set to be the mediator between two of the supernatural groups in town, to try to achieve peace. A lot of weird things have been happening in town, and things are finally coming to a head. Will Reg be able to help solve this rift before more bad things happen?

I absolutely love PD Workman's books, and this is no exception. Fantastic writing style that hooks you in, lovely characters, and easy to read. Highly recommend!

Wow! Things in Blacks Sands are definitely coming to a head…and not in a good way. Betrayal is the word of the day. I have long wondered if John was going to become a problem with his ego, power, and Verity’s ghost whispering to him constantly. I also wondered if Jake joining the local wolf pack was a good idea. Well, I guess we found out. I am now wondering if Theodore is going to become a problem for Reg, or if she will be able to handle him. This was another awesome story. I love this series so much!

Another great story in a series that you won’t be able to put down. Reg is a psychic Investigator but this time, things are more dangerous than usual. War between Warlocks and Werewolves are more tense than ever, will she be able to fix the problem. Loved every bit and can’t wait for more.
