WWCD: what would Catbug do? Hint: it involves a loooot of talcum powder and marbles. Grab your rocks, named Paula Abdul & Shemasticles, and play make believe with Catbug in If I Were… Find out what over 4 million people who watched the Catbug episode of Cartoon Hangover’s Bravest Warriors are talking about. Bravest Warriors’ writer, Jason Johnson, wrote all new lines, while illustrator, Chris Vales, gives Catbug a chance to play dress up and make-believe, with silliness and fun on every page. Play dress up and get down with Catbug! Catbug is voiced by beloved Bravest Warriors’ voice actor, Sam Lavagnino. Everyone loves Catbug!
This book has great text, and Catbug's voice always makes them special, but the art isn't really something I'm a huge fan of. However, it's in this Catbug book that contains my favorite lines out of the whole 11 book series! Listing off weird names, including shamasticlese and Paula Abdul had me laughing for days, while including a pop culture reference makes this book easily accessible to both the young, middle-aged and older. Also, if your name is Shaunice and you're NOT wearing antlers and an orange robe- your wardrobe is lacking! :)
"And if I were a flower, I'd definitely smell like cinnamon raisin cookies, and you would water me with homemade vanilla almond milk so I could grow up big and strong!"
This is another cute Catbug book.
While I also didn't love the illustrations for this one, the writing is cute and lets Catbug's random humor shine.
It's a short, humorous read of Catbug pretending to be other things.
