Epic fantasy for the whole family!
*This series has been written for children and teens. It can also be enjoyed by by adults young at heart.
Pedro Urvi is a bestselling fantasy author who some years ago began to write as an experiment. Without any deliberate intention on his part, the experiment in writing turned into a novel which went on growing until eventually it evolved into a saga. He is also a technologist with many years of experience working in the world of computer systems and cyber security. He has lived in the US, UK and Spain and worked all over Europe. He is the author of three epic fantasy sagas: The Secret of the Golden Gods, The Ilenian Enigma, Path of the Ranger. It is currently working on a fourth one: Path of Dragons. His other passion is reading. He defines himself as a fan of epic fantasy, science fiction and thrillers.
I loved the path of the ranger, and now the books are really combining together. Plus, Viggo is back and who does not love that character. There are going to be some great adventures to come.
SPOILERS first the negative. I'm starting to skim the training parts and hoping there are good dramatic parts in the story. The training sequences go like this we are learning spears. the female characters look at each other with worry. they begin weak and end with them being able to. Rinse and repeat with elemental training and Ivo, Aiden and Taika learning to do something at the last day of training and moving on. Same with the dinner descriptions. some are doing well, others are struggling, Ivo again doubting whether will he accomplish skill, reminds me of Gerd and Egil doubt in path of Ranger. Reading their struggle was new, reading the struggle of new characters is like really again with the same format.
The positive was everything else. I'm not usually a fan of love triangles but the one forming and ended in this story was great. I predicted what would happened at the halfway point with Ana. Reading Ana's betrayal was awesome. As Ana, Logan and Nahia were very close. The bigger reveal was with Irakas. I was as shocked as Nahia and her squad. I couldn't believe what I read and later with the yes and no question, "yes". Crazy!!! Irakas burning Ana was sweet justice, don't go behind your friends over the bigger picture and love that wasn't there. I would be lying if I wasn't expecting Aiden to be a traitor too but he wasn't at the moment, though it seems he really is loyal to the squad.
The Icing on the cake was that Viggo was freed from the ice. He is okay!!!! Ready to do his quick witty responses. Loved when he said "the weirdo, the bug" haha. Basically, as long as our Snow Panthers/Royal Eagles keep being freed and rescued I'll give the book a 5/5 haha. Can't wait for book 4, I already preordered it for my kindle, I wonder how long the squad will be separate as Logan and Nahia going for Dragon riding quest and her squad going to Drameia and whatever else surprises that are in store for the characters.

I got to read the first three books back to back sadly got to wait for the next one. This book left me with questions (like who is on her side) this book had a twist I did not see coming with a evil being. I keep thinking her parents are going to show up (did she see them die?) Or is one of them a Dragon who turned human to be with the other, or was they both humans that can turn? I think they are in another world or in the dungeons.someone recognised her but not do they know her mother? This series is great keeps you guessing. It has action, war drama, take over your world, betrayal, friendships, loyalty,Scooby gang, jealousy and slow burn romance.
It is complex learning different beings along with unusual names and powers different worlds and dragons with different colour, powers and long names. But you soon learn and it's a fun world to be in. From book one to the end of this one it's been three years.
Nadia and her squad start their 3rd year with a bang starting with a horrifying test climbing up a mountain. Their compassion gets them all prison punishment, but it turns out to be very helpful.
Fantastic, exciting story. Some repetitive conversation parts I scanned through, but a lot of new info, pivotal events and old friends showing up. Now that they’re graduated things with change. I can’t wait to read the next.
Footnote: 1) When Ivo says ‘I am Ivo’ it reminds me of Groot in ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’.
Fave scenes: getting up the morning after, meeting the Selvaris people, meeting up with old friends in the cave and Nadia discovering a new ally.
An incredible third book in the series. The storyline draws you in as the heroes and heroines continue the fight for freedom. Their friendship and trust in each other is beyond words. The author is a wonderful story teller who is fortunately more than able to put the story to paper. I'm an old adult reader but this books captivate me, and I'm sure they will loads of others who love to augment their lives.
Best book of the series thus far. The surprise twist near the end totally blindsided me. Urvi definitely has a gift for crafting a storyline, and he does it in such a way that it makes appropriate reading for people of all ages. My only complaint is in the proofing and editing of these English translations - too many misspellings and typesetting errors. Luckily the story more than makes up for it.
These books are fantastic fun! And could easily become a future series that someone like Peter Jackson could turn into a trilogy of trilogies with lots of spin offs for tv shows for specific characters as well. Path of the Ranger is still my favorite series but Path of the Dragons is a close second followed by the Golden Gods series. If you are looking for a new fantasy adventure series, definitely check out Mr. Uvri’s books!
Another great book. The third year means more stress and hardship. Nahia and her squadron must pass all tests to graduate. Nahia also wants to rise up against the dragons and is planning a rebellion. She has allies from all the races, including the Snow Panthers.
I love seeing everyone coming together to fight for freedom. Pedro Urvi definitely threw in some curves that caught me by surprise.
The story is at least getting a bit more interesting but the writing is just so poor. It’s littered with typos and errors and the writing is just so wooden. I’m going to have to stop this series and see if I can muster up the energy to pick up Book 4 at a later date as I’m losing the will with this author. I’m not one to drop/pause a series unless I have to meet an ARC deadline but I’m feeling defeated by the writing.
I love everything that Pedro has written, and this book is no exception. The journey through the Path of the Ranger and now The Path of the Dragons has been a very epic journey.
I would not hesitate and in fact highly encourage anyone considering reading any of these series to n0 longer delay but start immediately. I am positive you too will enjoy the adventures!
I am constantly amazed at this writers ability to create a magnificent story line! I can't wait to turn the page to see what happens next or to end a book so that I can get to the next book. My house is a mess because all I want to do is read! Speaking of which, on to the next book!
So happy about my ship being canon! Also gods damn it Ana! Love that their asshole dragon leader is actually a good guy!!!! That was a shock! Wow. And now I know why Nahia was sent to the third level of the dungeons in no 2! Cannot wait until bk 4!
The third segment of Path of Dragons finishes the 3rd year and graduation of our protagonists. It sets the stage for the 4th. Plot twists abound! Characters you care about.
Honestly a great plot line, a few minor mistakes with names every now and then but it doesn’t detract from the story, After starting this series I realised I’ll have to read the ranger series and found out theirs 20 books in that so will be busy for a good while!!
When I started the Path of The Ranger it drew me in . This book in this series is really bringing everything together from all the past series and books.. I truly can't wait for the next book.. Pedro you have truly done an awesome job with your writing!!!!
Golden Magic is a good book! I love it! Its about the main character and her comrades trying to survive and achieving survival. In the end she goes to a academy to learn how to become a 🐉 rider!
Excelente libro y maravillosa saga.
