From the bestselling small-town romance author A. Goswami comes a scorching, age-gap love affair between a bold winemaker and her ex-boyfriend's irresistibly sexy mom...

One unforgettable night at the Harvest Festival—her name whispered in my ear, our bodies tangled in ways that left me breathless. I had no idea she was my ex's mother until the next morning. So, I did what anyone in my shoes would do—I made a quick exit, thinking I could leave our steamy night behind. But fate has a twisted sense of humor, and now she's back, walking into my family’s vineyard as our new wine consultant.

Now I’m caught between desire and disaster—she’s old enough to be my mother, our workplace is a ticking time bomb, and she’s here to rekindle her connection with the son I once dated. The temptation between us is electric, but giving in would set everything we’ve worked for ablaze.

We try to keep things professional, but the stolen glances and late-night meetings make it impossible to stay away. She’s haunted by a past that makes her doubt she deserves this, but I know what we have is real—and there’s no walking away from that. The stakes couldn’t be higher, with a jealous ex breathing down my neck and a ruthless rival ready to pounce. And in a town where secrets are currency, our passionate affair is a fire that refuses to stay hidden for long.

Prepare yourself for sizzling chemistry, a tantalizing 20+ year age gap, heated encounters in all the wrong places, and the slow burn of two people who can't resist temptation... even when it could ruin them.

I am your friendly neighborhood Sapphic romance writer, who has a knack for writing steamy romances, that also work as comfort reads. I know, a conundrum! But once you give my books a shot, you'll know what I mean!
I live in London, a few streets away from where Sherlock Holmes used to live, so... if I you find me taking too long to publish my next book, I am probably off with Mr. Holmes on an adventure.

This was just way too horny and cringe for me.
I'm not afraid of words like "pussy", but reading at least one of these words:
"Wet", "pussy", "nipple", "tits" , "ass", "fucked" or "seven inch strap on"
basically every single page is just too much.
I just can't do it.
And giving the "seven inch strap on" a nickname made me cringe so hard I didn't know if I wanted to laugh or cry.

Also, Trisha made it clear that she doesn't want to continue their "relationship" after figuring out Katrina is her ex boyfriends mom.
And instead of accepting and respecting that, Katrina just keeps going and pushes her for more.
Obviously at the end Trisha doesn't mind, but am I the only one that things that's hella weird?
I hate when men do it and I certainly don't appreciate it when women do it either.
Unless I'm reading a dark romance, I don't wanna read some teetering on the edge of non con SA shit.
I guess people just brush over that, because at the end they obviously end up together and Trisha did consent in their first night, but I still don't think that's okay.

If you've read other books by the author, are they all this...horny?
Because if not I might try out another one.

Just as I was concluding this was 3.5, a little too intense for the depth written maybe, the last few pages raced along to a clifhanger that raises the stakes, and bam! I'm into book 2 (of 2)! :)

This is a 400-page story across 2 books with a cliffhanger in book 1.

Tried this as it was recommended as a sapphic romance. Had to DNF after the author started saying everyone’s last name was Whitmore. Was it a typo? Did James Carmichael somehow become James Whitmore? How is it Katrina Whitmore and Ryan Whitmore but also Trisha Carmichael’s Dad is named James Whitmore? How did Trisha say Ms.Whitmore but then didn’t know her last name until snooping into her purse to see her ID? Very confusing. 🫤 The inconsistencies and instalust were unfortunately not it for me.

I’m not even halfway through and there have been a ton of editing errors. Character name discrepancies like suddenly everyone has the last name whitmore, oh and Trisha calling Kat Ms. Whitmore at the beginning and then not putting two and two together until creeping on her Id that she’s a whitmore?, some minor typos “an year”, as well as other inconsistencies (character ordering a vodka martini, and then later describing their glass clinking with ice and drinking down the amber liquid… none of that tracks).

Idk. I realize this isn’t meant to be high lit or anything, but glaring issues like these are distracting as heck and could have been easily picked up in an editor pass.

Update… not even another chapter in and another typo.

An Interesting Small Town Romance!

I like this story and where it was going. I thought the concept was interesting with two women In business that were strong. The main characters Trisha and Katrina had nice chemistry and sexuality strength. The pairing was a lesson in how to be strong and accept the truth of what their relationship would look like. But the downfall of this is that Trisha is being held back a little by her father and brothers but again from Katrina which sort of dismisses some of the earlier scenes. It was good but I am not sure it was good enough to make me read another book as a part two.

That was different!

This is a fun story about an age gap romance but it turns out that it’s a two part series, something I didn’t see coming. Personally, I like spice in my Sapphic romances, and there’s plenty here but it seems there’s a background story that could have gotten a better telling than what I’ve seen so far. However, since the background story is integral to the rest of the series, perhaps the telling will get a bit better in the second novel in this set.

Ugh

200 pages of wasted time. Too descriptive, but also I felt like I knew nothing about the characters. Too much "will they or won't they" THAT WE DON'T EVEN GET TO THE BOTTOM OF! This could have been a good read. It could have been sweet and romantic. But there were a lot of misses, too much detail over the same things, too much running away, too much dodging.

I'm really disappointed.

DNF after 3 chapters. I love these kinds of set ups but I just couldn’t get into this. The characters felt flat and the dialogue cringy

DNF because “legs devoid of any fat,” for 1, What the actual fuck; for 2, WTF does that even mean; and for 3, thick thighs save lives. Anyways, this book is cringe as fuck and fat phobic.

DNF at 40% - On reflection I strongly believe this is partially AI-written

This is my first ever DNF. I just realized that I value the limited hours enough to not waste them on this. The writing is passable. The issues lay in the editing, and in the absolute insanity of decisions like naming a strap-on "stabby". Here are my issues in brief:

1) A character unironically starts a conversation with: "So there I was, right, chatting up this girl..."

2) A few chapters in the last names of characters get mixed up with someone else's surname. This happens for a full chapter. The fact that it was not caught and corrected tells me a lot.

3) There is a lot of restating what was just narrated in the previous paragraph but using slightly different words. This book could have been trimmed by 20% atleast. That's how repetitive it is.

4) The continuity sometimes doesn't make sense, or just barely makes sense. At one point Trish gets mad at her coworkers sexualizing Katrina - except at this point she has no idea that the consultant they are talking about is Katrina. And the narration makes it clear that she is angrier than she typically would be and is trying to hide this from her coworkers.

5) The unbelievable brain-dead decision to unironically name a strap-on "stabby" and then continue to refer to it as such (completely seriously) in the future. In the narration of a 42 year old woman. Are you kidding me.

After reflecting on some of my issues with this book, I started wondering if this was an AI book. From that lens a lot of things start making sense. The name mixup - AI often makes these substitution mistakes. The repetitive narration - AI trying to hit a certain word limit by just repeating everything it says using different words. The issues with continuity - understandable with AI use, especially if there were multiple drafts. And, finally, the mystery of why in the world a WLW author would think it was a good idea to name a strap-on "stabby" and keep calling it that throughout the book - AI logic of "What does a strapon do? Thrust. Whats another word for thrust? Stab." because AI is stupid, especially at the time this book was written.

I loved the setup for this. I mean, I can’t think too closely about how a 20+ age gap will play out in the future, but it worked great in the moment. Perhaps a little fortuitous that neither recognized each other when they first met, but I can overlook a bit for the sake of getting the story going. I thought it was great how they each reacted when they figured it out, and then how they struggled through working together thereafter.

So the main reason I’m not giving this five stars is the relationship drama that cropped up near the end. First, it seemed unnecessary, since there was already enough drama in their forbidden romance kind of situation plus the angry rival situation. And second, it just didn’t seem natural; suddenly they were relating to each other in a different way than they had been, and it seemed like that was just in order to make the drama a thing. I’d have rather they supported each other through the rest of the things going on instead of finding a reason to add yet another fuss to the mix. (Also, not a big fan of ending things where it did, with so many loose ends it really felt like half a book.)

So all in all, I enjoyed reading this, I am still a sucker for the forbidden romance, and I’ll probably go on to the next to finish the story.

Imagine coming to mend fences with your son only to find yourself having a spicy adventure with his ex-girlfriend. Katrina finds herself needing to decide whether or not her 5 alarm fire attraction is more than just attraction and if potentially hurting her son is a price she is willing to pay. Trisha is forced to navigate her own newly understood sexuality along with her attraction for a much older woman with the responsibility of being the head wine maker at her family's business. Sabotage of the business along with other types of intrigue forces these women to start to figure it. I wish I had known this was the first book in a duology. Now I need to know what happens with grandma.

The story overall was pretty boring outside of the spicy scenes. The characters were fun, but Trisha wasn’t as complex as Katrina. She was kind of boring and flat throughout.

Also parts of the book weren’t edited well. It was as if the rough draft and final draft were slapped together and no one gave it a second glance to make sure it all made sense before finalizing it. And the fact that there’s a part two is just unnecessary - let’s be real, we know how it’s going to end and stretching this already slow story doesn’t make sense.

I was okay with this until Katrina finds out Trish is her son's ex. Instead of feeling any guilt or taking her son into consideration, she proceeds to flirt and get sexual with Trish like a horndog. I mean she moved back to mend her relationship with her son but not once does she do that in the book. He's an afterthought to her. She's a shitty mom. I can't get in board when the ex (Ryan) still has feelings with one of the FL and has abandonment issues with the other.

This was a fun read! Trisha is young, carefree, and definitely acts her age. I didn’t love Katrina. I think she is selfish. Katrina talks about reconnecting with son but made no real effort. She continues to focus on her career and her own needs. I felt bad for Ryan and wish we got more insight on what happened in the past between mother and son. The chemistry between Trisha and Katrina was hot and the banter funny.

Wow..all fire emojis!!

The idea oft he storyline drew me in tho it sounded like one I came across before, but boy it held its own!! It's intense extreme attraction and chemistry right of the bat and it keeps going! The ending had me nervous so I'm anxious to get to part 2.
There are a few mess ups in the narrative itself, names and scenes are a little turned around, but it's not too bad to not continue, just have to keep the story straight as you read.

OH WOW 😮

Left stunned and 😂 so hard, this amazing exciting novel, has captured and made me beg for more. A 10🌟 if i could. Spellbound and spicy hot scenes with roller coaster emotions and having the courage to fight for Love and happiness. Do yourself a good favor and allow yourself to be blown away. Massive cliff hanger. But so worth it, 😉

Hot & steamy! 🥵

This pair is a scorching fire. Loved their chemistry and interactions. This book is a fun, hot and steamy read. I wouldn't recommend reading it in public unless, that's your thing.😉
It certainly explains a little about the process of wine making which I didn't know anything about. I can't wait to start the next one, especially after that cliffhanger!!!

I really had mixed emotions when I selected this book. So glad I didn’t listen to my inner self. This is a cute story. The winemaking makes for an interesting backdrop. Think you’ll enjoy this story. Now on to book 2!!

Good concept but so many noticeable inconsistencies. Like why did Victor Frost become Victor Thorne?

And the fact that Ryan told his mom that his relationship wasn’t serious, yet he wants to marry her?

But otherwise it was interesting enough not to put down!
