“Everyone has a story my pages are just a lot darker than most.” Aiden Chesterfield needs control like he needs air to breathe. It pushes back the dark past he tries to pretend doesn’t exist. Just as badly as he needs the structure that domination provides, he needs Camaron to be the one to submit to him. Though, when Aiden realizes how unworthy she feels of his love; he sends her away. Her insecurities anger him, but break him at the same time. Forcing him to come to the realization that some things are beyond his control. Camaron Allen left everything to start her life over in Vegas with hopes of finding family. After losing the man she loves, she’s determined to become stronger. When a phone call from her best friend has her taking on a new career, she is forced to face more than herself. With Shaft hitting the big time, everyone wants a piece of the rockers’ pie and some are willing to do anything to get it. Can Cam and Aiden move beyond their fears to face the possibility of a future together, or will they forever fight their demons alone?
When she isn't writing, Cat is spending time with her fiancé and kiddos, losing herself in a Netflix binge, or reading a book by one of her favorite authors. She was born and raised outside of St. Louis, Missouri, just over the Mississippi River in Granite City, Illinois. Cat writes romance of all kinds with twists of humor. She now makes her home in the mountains of Eastern Tennessee and has plans to have her own home with tons of land for her family and their animals to roam wild. She has love of fictional men with filthy mouths, and lives on Bai Watermelon and sarcasm.
I have been lucky enough to see how much Cat has progressed with this series and let me tell you she did an outstanding job with Cam and Aiden's story. We know beginning this story that Aiden has some issues with control and we know that Cam has issues with self esteem. We get to see the struggles these two go through and how they both grow up. Hunter still makes his appearance throughout this book because well we know he is Aiden's older brother and let me tell you, Hunter and his craziness doesn't let up. You all will not be disappointed with this continuation of the Shaft; Cat really did well with this one and I can only say that it gets better as she progresses.
AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!! Aiden and Cam gave me alot of anxiety and stress. I fell in love with them in Daisey's book so when they broke up....Aiden set her packing because he was a jacakss.....Yeah i was BROKEN for them both.
SO the books starts out with us seeing Aiden and Cam meeting the very first time. They were instantly attracted to each other but both have mega drama and baggage. So we see them having issues with their feelings and fear of the L word. Anyway, both are BROKEN....sooooo broken it made my heart sad. When we finally get the two of them in the same room they are both committed to getting the other back no matter what. I have to say I looove the new amd improved Cam. She really did grow and is ready to experience life. She isnt afraid of the spot light and all that goes with loving a rock star. Aiden realizes he used Cam's insecurities to push her away because it scared him to death when she finally submitted to him 110%. Well he has his Wildcat back and will not let her go. I love how they both are fighting for this relationship and how they both are so scared that the other will finally realize they can do better.
OMG CUNTER and his damn Bacom obsession defo makes alot of appearances but we are finally seeing the insecurities he has with regards to Chase. I was so mad at him for what he does to her but did understand later the why of it all. But i am sooo looking forward to his chase of Chase ;)
Tad....GROWL!! OMg Dude will nogo away and he causes alot of drama as you can expect from a DB like him. He is really looking for revenge against Daisey, Cam, Hunter and all the Shaft guys.
Facing Me is Book 2 in the Shaft on Tour series by Cat Mason. I didn’t read Escaping Me before jumping into Aiden and Camaron’s story, but I didn’t feel like I was out of the loop for the most part; Cat Mason weaved some of the back story of the band and Aiden and Cam’s relationship throughout the beginning of the text, which made it quite easy to catch up to everything that happened. I will definitely be going back to read Book 1, though, because I enjoyed Book 2 so much, and Daisy is awesome in Aiden and Cam’s story, so I know she will be a riot in her own story.
When Aiden and Camaron first meet, the chemistry is instantaneous, but they both have baggage from their childhood weighing them down. Aiden’s past has left him with the need to command and control each and every part of his life. Domination, to him, is an absolute necessity or the darkness ensues. Camaron’s insecurities are what make her hesitant to give herself 100% to Aiden. She’s afraid to completely submit because the risk is too great that he may walk away and leave her all alone. Despite their efforts to make a relationship work, Aiden and Camaron break up and both of their worlds crumble, leaving them to pick up the pieces of their heart as well as their life. But when they come back together after merely existing while they were apart, will Aiden finally take what he wants? Can Camaron work past her fears and give Aiden what he needs – total control?
Facing Me is a fantastic read. There’s a great mix of suspense, drama, hot sex, and crazy antics. Cat writes in a way that allows readers to feel like they’re part of the band’s entourage…kind of like a groupie – the non slutty kind;) - who gets the inside scoop and an up close view of everything that occurs behind the scenes. The camaraderie of the band definitely comes through in their conversations and the way they have each other’s backs and aren’t afraid to call each other out on their bullshit.
The growth that Aiden and Camaron make not only in their relationship but in themselves as individuals really comes through in their different point of views. Of course, there are still going to be struggles, but they’re both staying put…they refuse to run away from each other this time around, and it makes all the difference.
I can’t wait to see what’s in store for Hunter and Chase. I have a feeling, she’s not going to make anything easy on him. So glad I found this series!
4.5 poison apples (The Fairest of All Book Reviews)
Cat Mason has done it again! I loved Escaping Me, and Facing Me is just as fabulous! The Shaft on Tour gang is back for more hot lovin', hot music, supense, and of course BACON!
This is Aiden and Camaron's story, and last we saw our disfuctional dom/sub couple they were going there seperate ways. Here we pick up where that left off. Aiden is a whore doggin scum bag that I truly wanted to slap, and Cam was working to build herself up and pick up the pieces. I am not sure why a man thinks screwing other women will cure them of the love they feel and make the hurt go away--it never works out like they want it to. Aiden needs control in all things, with his music, with his life and in his bed. When he send Cam packing he is slowly losing all his control and going into blind rage. Realizing Cam is the piece of the puzzle that keeps his control in place.
Camaron was a tossed around foster kid, told to keep quiet and not make herself know so she could stay with a family. She is unsure of herself. When Aiden dismisses her and leaves her heart in shambles she has no choice but to pick up the pieces. With the help of Luke and Chase, some really good friends, she is able to build her body, heart, and soul. She becomes the strong woman that Aiden needs her to be.
With the help of Daisy and Hunter, Aiden and Cam are reunited and there worlds collide with fireworks. There is no escape from the person who holds your heart. It's not all roses and unicorns but they get where they are meant to be.
Of course there has to be a wonderful plot twist! Enter Jackson the Jerkoff! I swear these guys can not find an honest manager. Then Tad comes back in the picture sans Landon (glad to see that slime was gone). Tad is one twisted puppy! Will he ever get what he deserves?
Hunter is his natural bacon loving, whore dogging self. Daisy and Gray are still going strong in married pregnant bliss. We get to see more of Henry, A LOT more of Henry! We learn what happen to Aiden and Hunter as children and why it happened. It is just an all around great ride!
You must read the first one then immediately run to this one. It will not disappoint! I can not wait for Hunter's story next.

Aiden and Camaron have decided they aren’t ready to “be together”. Deciding to spend some time apart and figure out how they need to grow and find happiness, turns into no plans to reconnect. Trying to move on seems difficult but Camaron still makes an effort. When their friends intervene to bring them back together, will their deep connection power them through their reuniting? Or will they keep coming up with excuses to stay apart? Not to mention all of the drama of the past follows them around on tour.
“Her free hand connects with my face so hard that it rattles my teeth. ‘Fuck you, Aiden.’ She spits angrily. ‘I came here to help the band, not to explain my relationship with Luke to you, or anyone for that matter. If you think, for one minute, that I’m weak and going to hide; then you’ve got a rude awakening comin’.’
My hand slides into her blonde layers, her breath hitches. Cam may not be weak anymore, but she still wants to give everything to me, which is something else entirely; something, I desperately want. Even if she wants to rip my balls off right now, her body is mine. Even she can sense the shift happening between us now. ‘Oh, I know you’re not, baby. I can’t wait until the new, strong Cam submits to me and begs me to fuck her.’”
I loved Cam and Aiden’s story although it was a bit maddening. Both of them are so stubborn even though they know they are truly soulmates. Hearing Aiden and Hunter’s past was so heartbreaking. I truly want those two to feel worthy of being loved. I couldn’t believe the crazy crap that happens in the end. Dude! Move on!
I’m racing to read Hunter’s book next. He is my absolute favorite. Love his alternate personality and how he sticks up for his family. Loyal to the core.
I was luckily enough to receive a ARC of this book for a honest review Finally…. I have Cam & Aiden’s story on my kindle to devour ….. It is fan-freaking-tastic……… This series for me just keeps growing and getting better….. I was once again drawn back on board shaft’s tour bus from page one….. I laughed, I cried and I freakily loved it….. As I was taken on an amazingly good, yet bumpy ride, which only Shaft could provide. Awesomely…. This book picks up from where Escaping me finished….. Cam and Aiden are apart and broken…. Each of them are, trying to move on in their own ways but are failing badly…. But is it too late for them to make it work??? When Daisy needs Cam to come help her manage this crazy group of lads…. She is unable to say no to the only family she has ever known. Can Cam make Aiden need her just as much as she needs him…. With her returning as Shaft’s Manager …. Only time will tell…. Aiden thinks he has lost the only girl for him….. He completely broken without her…. With her back on the bus can he make her change her mind and claim her as his??? This story is filled with bumps, twists and turns…… and will keep you on the edge from page one till the end but one thing for sure it is jam packed with drama, humour, love and lots of hot hot steamy sex!!..... There is never a dull moment aboard the shaft bus. I loved Grey’s story, l adored Aiden’s story but I need Hunter’s story…. As my heart belongs to Cunter….. I cannot wait to continue this amazing journey with the Shaft family….. This has become one of my favourite rocker series…… Cat Mason as yet to disappoint me and continues to amazing me in her writing ability which always ensures an outstanding read ……
Title: Facing Me Author:Cat Mason Series:Shaft on Tour Publisher:Cat Mason Books Reviewer:Heather Callahan Release Date:March 22, 2014 Genre(s):Humor, Romance Page Count:289 Heat Level: 4flames out of 5 Rating: 4 stars out of 5 Blurb:
This is book two in a series about the band Shaft. Aiden and Camaron are getting their own book. I loved these two. Aiden and Cam had some serious issues. Aiden is a dog and had no idea what he had. Cam had a tough childhood, and had to learn to be strong and find her own path.
No story is complete without the trouble maker. Jackson is a total looser.
The great thing about this series is Cat brings in some of our favorites. This time around Daisy is pregnant, and I found a whole new love for her. Landon also comes back into the picture.

Aiden Chesterfield is the drummer for the up-and-coming band Shaft. In book one, Escaping Me, he sent the women he loves, Camaron Allen, away because he could not deal with her insecurities. Now the two are struggling without each other, both being irreplaceable.
Facing Me was a wonderful and well written novel. Camaron and Aiden have issues they must overcome. Cameron needs to conquer her feeling of being unworthy and Aiden has to deal with the haunting memories of his childhood. Both characters are very well developed, making you feel emotionally connected to them.
I love the dialog in the book. It is obvious that the characters are good friends and have known each other forever through their hilarious verbal banter. They are all there for each other forming a family, supporting and protecting each other.
I did not read book one, Escaping Me. I had no problem following the story but there are many references to the first novel. If anything it left me very intrigued and wanting to backtrack and read it. If I were to do it over, I would read them in order. That being said, Cat Mason does an excellent job at recapping the first story, so I was never confused or lost.
I really enjoyed Facing Me and became invested in all the characters. I am definitely interested in discovering what happens next in the Shaft on Tour Series. Facing Me offers a little of everything: drama, romance, entertainment, music, humor, mystery, and suspense. This was an excellent read; I'm glad I found it.

“It’s lust, pure and simple, but she’s desperate to see his pierced equipment. According to him, there’s more metal than flesh in his pants and Chase is desperate to see his transformer in action.”
“She was a damn butt pirate; all trying to plunder my booty!”
“The universe is in perfect balance with itself; now the bacon and booze shall be plentiful, says the almighty shaft.”
“Hunter shrugs, ‘I’m studying to be a porn star medic.’ His grin widens, ‘I will prep the pussy, tending to their every need. In a recession, the best idea is to have a back-up plan. So, if necessary, I can be a jack of all trades.’”
“‘…don’t go to the dark side Mack.’ Aiden teases dramatically, ‘It’s not worth it. Hunter is a weapon of mass corruption.’”
My Review:
Written in a dual POV, Facing Me is a more angsty read than Book 1 Escaping Me, although we can always count on Hunter for comic relief. It is also considerably more erotic due to the bit of kink that the featured couple enjoys. This story was so sensual my glasses fogged up, which required an occasionally break to wipe my specs (and my fevered brow) while I also attempted to catch my ragged breath. Packed with romantic and family drama, there is also a fair amount of sabotage, assaults, attacks, and a bit a gunfire. Exciting and stressful times for the fledgling band under a surprising management change. I am soaking this series up - onward to book 3!
Let me tell you I absolutely loved grays and Daisy's story, but Aidens and cams was just as good. I read this book in one sitting and couldn't put it down. This series is so good that its so frustrating that I have to wait for hunters POV. The characters are awesome and honestly, everyone is like the main character in the story. I love how difficult it is for Aiden and cam to show their love, its like in real life, when everything is not easy. You have to work for it and that's what they do. You are right there in the book, like you are part of it. You can't resist it. I love that it didn't retell the same story, that it started in the present and that made it even better. Prologue, epic. That's all I can say.
Aiden and cam have their story to tell. Its a great one to tell. Trying to move on cam, cam goes back to las Vegas to move on, but her thoughts are consumed with Aiden. Aiden is still on tour, but can't think of anything else except for cam. Circumstances bring them back together, but you have to find out if it is meant to be. Hunter is still hunter and he is still hilarious. Daisy and gray still have a place also, and don't forget the drama. Has to be some drama you know.
I love this series and can't wait for hunters story. This is one of my favorite books of the year so far.
First of all, the book was an excellent read! This is the story of Aiden and Camaron “Cam”. This is the second story in the Shaft On Tour series. I will suggest to read from the first book, so you can get the whole story until this point. The author wrote an excellent story with the same amount of drama, comedy, and intrigue. It was really hard to put down because there were something to hold my attention through out the book. It was quite fast pace, that help the story move along nicely. All the supporting characters were great, especially Daisy, Hunter, and Henry. I also like how the author use two alternate points of view in each chapters. The views from Aiden alternate with Cam make the story more well rounded. I will not give out any spoilers. You will have to read it for yourself in other to find out. I can’t wait to read the next installment because is the story of the third member “Hunter and Chase”. Cat Mason is a great writer, and I can’t wait to read more great stories from her.

This review contains a tiney tiny bit spoilers... SORRY! I love the way Cat Mason turns a tale. This book has a man that is so strong yet soo weak. A Woman soo weak but Stronger than she she can imagine. Yes Aiden as you know is a DOM and Cam his Sub. Roles that are so natural to them they can't even admit to themselves how much they need each other for their true nature to appear. The journey to this realization is a hard one, but one I think they learned needs to happen. Don't worry Shaft Fans because Cat has not left out one single character from Escaping Me Shaft on Tour 1. Hunter is there in his Bacon wrapped glory, trying to convince himself that he isn't a one woman man. Gray and Daisy are rolling along with their bundle of joy. So all is well on the Shaft tour.... RIGHT NOT!!!! This book is filled with excitement, angst, heart break and heart ache, thrills, chills and HOT&HEAVY SEX!! Cat gave it all to us wrapped nicely in BACON just for Hunter to love us more! *5* is what I give this awesome book and I can't wait for the next one to come out
What do you do when you send the only person who makes you whole away? That is where this story begins. Cameron and Aiden are miles away from one another, physically, but are inextricably tied emotionally to one another. When Aiden’s band, Shaft, is to be signed by Ironsound Records, Cam is recruited to represent the band while the recording deal is struck. Aiden’s been a mess during their separation and believed that Cam would be just as miserable. However, the Cameron that shows up is NOT the miserable mess of a person he expected. No, she shows up with her close friend, Luke. She seems confident, and bold; but underneath she burns as badly as Aiden. Will they be able to resolve their differences, so that their relationship – both in and OUT of the studio – won’t incinerate them?
This book made my emotions soar from one extreme to another, and made me wish that the man in my bed didn’t have four feet and fur!
This is the second book in the Shaft on Tour Series.
**4.5 Stars**
Both Escaping Me (Book 1)and Facing Me (Book 2) are about different band members in Shaft, but reading them in order gives you a better grasp of what’s going on. We see a lot of Camaron and Aiden in Book 1, but ultimately this is their love story.
Cat Mason keeps the men of Shaft loveable, yet cocky and sometimes shameless. We see more of Cam and Aiden in this book, but we still get some of Daisy and (super-rock-god) Grayson from Escaping Me. This is going into my list of ‘beach reads’ because it’s fun, lighthearted, and still has a twist in there.
I love the way Cat Mason writes so that we can feel what the characters are feeling and sometimes find myself wanting to slap the characters because of their obnoxiousness. Once again, she has created the perfect mix of angst, romance, love, and turmoil. If you want to meet some sexy rockers, look no further than the guys in Shaft!
WOW!!! I didn't think Cat Mason could make a book any hotter than Escaping Me, but I was SOOO wrong!! Aiden and Cam blew my panties off!! Aiden and Cam have history that isn't necessarily good but they have a deep connection that neither one can deny even when they try their hardest. Cam moves away to try and start over but she can't get Aiden out of her head. Aiden tries to forget her, he doesn't need her to feel fulfilled. But after months apart they are thrown together and made to face their problems head on. Aiden isn't sure he can get past what happened to him when he was younger and Cam isn't sure she can get past her insecurities and submit to Aiden. This book was full of drama, heartache, and angst. I couldn't put it down! Even though it could be read as a stand alone, I would suggest reading Escaping Me because there are a lot of references from that book.
I am a huge fan of Shaft on Tour books and Daisy and Greyson in book 1 was a panty melter, but Aiden and Cams story is touching, beautiful and dang it, made me cry, laugh hysterically and melt when I read the uuber hot scenes between Dom Aiden and his subbie Cam! Book 2 far surpassed my expectations! I knew it would be great but great is an understatement!
I can't wait for Hunters book soon! Cat Mason Job WELL DONE! Ps... LOVED how you threw in the doctors name! Brilliant touch of Hitchcock and King there.
10/5 Stars! Brilliant seamless writing, excellent plot twists and SMOKIN sexual content! Bring on the Bacon King soon!
Can and A might be favs in this series. I love Gray and Daisy but there is something about these two that hooks you from the start. Can thinks she doesn't deserve anything or anyone to love her and A thinks te same about himself all whole trying to push Cam away he is hurting himself more and more. His past scares him then he cares to admit and it could hurt him so much. Cam thought she could pull him out of his funk only to be torn down again. The past that they all think is locked away comes back to smack them all in face and there was a turn in there that I for sure didn't see coming. Cat does a great job on twining all of the stories together.
Camaron and Aiden meet in a bar and it is an instant connection. Even though they don't want to admit it there is no denying that they love each other. After fear takes them apart, they wonder if they will be happy again. Then when his band takes off she is needed back to help. So this is a love story about both of them overcoming their fears. I loved Cam. I am so glad that she was able to grow. Aiden though not my favorite male lead. I think these two are good for each other. I also loved Dasiy. She is awesome.
5 Rockin' Stars This book has everything you will want in a book! Rockers, romance, drama, humor, and so much more! I loved watching Cat Mason grow in her writing. I really liked book 1 and thought there was no way to top it, but guess what, SHE DID! I Love Cam and Aiden's story and could not get enough of them. I love the way they both fight for their relationship and don't just give in because they reach a bump in the road. Definitely a book that you should pick up and start reading immediately! ~Lauren~
I read and absolutely loved the first of Cat Mason's Shaft on Tour books so of course, I couldn't wait to get this one, Facing Me and read it. As I guessed, it certainly did not disappoint. I LOVED IT. It had all that I expect from these boys, the hot sex, the hilarious banter between them that had me laughing out loud frequently but also some tears too. Aiden is a sweetheart, I love him but all the boys are hot and sexy, even the bacon loving man whore himself Hunter. Can't wait for book 3 for Hunter's story. These books are well worth the read. They have my approval.
this book was gifted to me by the author through Stephanie's book reports I loved every single Delicious funny part, cunter lmfao your my bacon hero, I laughed so hard this book and this series so far is hilarious I loved aiden and cams story aiden is such a sweetheart, funny, sexy, swoonworthy and suspense filled everything I love in a book. cat mason once again you smashed it too funny 5 huge stars well done great book bring on cunters story yeah baby :-)
I won't review my own book but I can say that I have fallen in love with the characters, even the secondary characters. They have taken on lives of their own and I can't wait to continue their story.
I was pleasantly Shafted yet again! Cameron and Adian were as hot and screwed up as you can get. I wanted to yell at the two of them and love and hold them at the same time. So glad for the happy ending, but i know there is more to come from this group.
I loved the threats, the extra security, and the Shaft Street Boys Band. gosh I wanna say the name of that song Hunter sang. As with book one, loved them all but Hunter is the man I'm wanting to spoon with.
We get the scoop on Camaron, her youth, her life and it explains her reason to submit. For me Aiden telling his story was touching, thus making me live Hunter more and more. I want BACON
“Everyone has a story my pages are just a lot darker than most.” Aiden Chesterfield needs Camaron. In his own book, that I really adore, he comes to the starring role in a good way. What I like about book series is the continuation of other characters. I dont like cliffhangers that leave you drooling until the next book. This is a series and so far book one was about Gray and now this is about Aiden, book 3 will be Hunter. That is the one I am drooling over and cant wait to read!
This book goes through changes within Aiden and Cam's (Camaron) relationship. The entire back-story for these two characters is finally out. So we learn that Hunter was the protector of Aiden and the details will shock and amaze. Aside from this story, which I wanna squeal about, but I cant! What I will say is Hunter is my hero! He is all that! The best personality, sense of humor and he is hot. What else is there? Hunter is my hero!
The Gray and Daisy are another couple that make me laugh. She is the funniest pregnant girl ever! Its been years for me and I dont remember the whole hormone thing but I laughed for her! The plot for this take a few twisting turns that I think the author likes for shock value! There is a threat of course Tad is looming. WOW another shocker with that. Just read it.
