Blood is power. Magic is life. But in the hands of my captors, they’ve become my curse.

I thought I knew the depths of vampire cruelty. I was wrong.

In a world where power pulses through my veins, these beasts rule more than just the night...they rule me, too. I’ve become the ultimate prize. My blood is their addiction, and now it’s the price of my survival. But how long can this go on?

Locked up, caged…as the months drag by, I feel myself fading. There’s only so much I can give. And when I’m done, they’ll end me.

But behind it all lies a conspiracy that threatens to destroy both vampire and witchkind. Suddenly, I’m caught in a dangerous web where enemies may become allies, and those I trust could betray me.

Because sometimes the monsters wear familiar faces.

And help comes in unexpected forms.

Except trust doesn’t come easily after all I’ve been through…even the gentlest touch can’t make me forget what they’ve done.

In a cage of blood and secrets, can I break the chains without losing myself? Or will this nightmare become my new reality?

The choice is mine. I just don’t know if I’m ready to face the consequences.

“Blood Caged” is the third book in Vampire-Cursed, a series of interlinked paranormal romance stories. If you like vampires, witches, and just a touch of psychic power, you’re going to love “Blood Caged.” HEAs are guaranteed (even if they have to work hard to get there).

Note that this story is written for mature audiences only.

After two decades as a journalist, B.E. Brouillard made the leap to fiction. It was time to create the dark stories that had lurked in her mind for all those years. Tortured souls, flawed lovers, dysfunctional behavior...her characters are not for the faint-hearted. Having said that, many readers will find common ground with the less-than-perfect heroes of these stories. In spite of a mild case of cynicism, Brouillard remains a staunch romantic - Happily-Ever-Afters are guaranteed.

A child of the global village, Ms. Brouillard loves Paris, Africa, sushi, and champagne. When she's not wordsmithing dark debauchery, she spends time with her beautiful men, their German Shepherds, and her pack of killer ponies. Or drinking martinis with friends.

Dark, brutal, claustrophobic, and absolutely soaked in that “I am surviving out of pure spite and maybe a little magic” energy.

Blood Caged is the book where the series stops teasing the darkness and just yeets you straight into it. No warm‑up, no easing in — just immediate emotional whiplash and a heroine who is hanging on by a thread she braided out of trauma, fury, and stubbornness. She’s been captured before, sure, but this time? This time the vampires crank the cruelty dial so high it snaps off in their hands. Her blood is their addiction, her magic is their leash, and she’s trapped in a cage that feels more like a slow‑motion execution than imprisonment.

The months drag by, and you can feel her fading — physically, emotionally, magically. It’s suffocating in the best way, the kind of tension that sits in your chest and refuses to leave. And just when you think you’ve mapped out the villains, the book pulls the rug out from under you. The conspiracy behind her captivity is bigger, uglier, and more twisted than she ever imagined, and suddenly the monsters aren’t just the ones snarling in the dark. Some of them wear familiar faces. Some of them speak softly. Some of them offer help with hands that look a little too clean.

And that’s where the book hits hardest — the trust issues, the flinching, the way even kindness feels like a trap after everything she’s endured. Healing isn’t instant. Safety isn’t guaranteed. Even the gentlest touch can feel like a threat. Brouillard lets her be messy and scared and furious, and it makes her strength feel earned instead of gifted.

The whole story is a psychological gauntlet wrapped in paranormal danger. It’s dark, intimate, and emotionally raw, but threaded with that tiny spark of defiance that refuses to die. And when she finally starts pushing back — even just a little — it feels like watching a storm gather behind her eyes.

A brutal, addictive, beautifully unhinged installment that deepens the series and leaves you desperate for the next escape attempt, the next reveal, the next crack in the cage.

Third book, vampires and witches with a variety of powers a really riveting read
Blood is power, it is in fact life itself and to some of the individuals that take individuals captive they are used as a food source and if you should be unfortunate and have a rare blood type or other magical properties it can make you quite the desired snack on their menu.
Whilst she has been locked in a cage she has seen some unbelievable horrible things; she is prized possession because the blood that is running through her veins is their ultimate food and their addiction to it is the thing that is keeping her alive whilst she is in their cage.
She knows that there is a threat to both the witches and the vampires alike and she knows that she has to be careful what she does with the knowledge she has, should she trust the wrong person with her information she could easily end up dead or even worse., then when she is of no further use, she will be killed.
Then she os surprised when assistance comes for her in the most unlikely form and she is very suspicious but knows that time is running out. I will not tell any more as I do not want to spoil the plot or subsequent outcome so I will let you discover the outcome and the surprises for yourself.
I thoroughly enjoyed the book and look forward to reading any future publications; keep up all the wonderful writing.

Blood Caged was a "captivating" read.

In the third installment of the Vampire Cursed series, we gain insight into the predicament of Mia, the sister of Rowan Blackwood. The story begins slowly but gains momentum as it progresses, keeping the reader on the edge of their seat. The book ends with a cliffhanger, leaving us eager to find out what happens next.

Mia Blackwood, a member of a powerful family of witches, has been captured by their enemies, the vampires. While in captivity, she is being drained of her blood and realizes that she has been betrayed by her fellow witches. Despite her efforts, she is unable to escape from the facility where she is being held.

Soren Daire, trying to distance himself from vampire society and politics, finds himself bound to do his maker Maxwell’s bidding. He reluctantly takes on a job that goes against his beliefs, tasked with managing security in a facility holding abducted witches. His main responsibility is to ensure the security of Mia Blackwood. As he spends time with Mia, he begins to question his role after realizing she is not the evil practitioner of black magic he was led to believe.

When Mia learns that her sister Rowan is in danger, she finds an unlikely ally. Determined to escape and protect her sister from suffering the same fate, she seeks a way to break free from captivity.

Another fantastic book in this series which I’m really loving.
This is Mia’s story so if you’ve read the previous books you’ll be familiar with her background but not what actually happened to her.
Having been captured by vampires with her family assuming she was dead Mia was imprisoned & used for her magical blood by her captors. She is in a desperate place as she’s not going to last much longer & doesn’t know that her family have only just realised she may be alive.
Soren has a troubled background & added to Mia’s mistrust this is not going to be an easy task to save her but this tangled storyline had me engrossed in where it was all going.
The ending is brilliant but another unexpected cliffhanger that made me want to scream with frustration but luckily the next book is not too long to wait for!

What an exciting and thrilling read full of deceit and betrayal! This is Mia and Soren’s story and it really captivates! Mia is being held because of her bloodline and magical powers and Soren is the vampire who is put on the unwanted assignment of keeping her under guard. He finds the task very distasteful but is duty bound to obey. There are so many twists and surprises in this and it kept me totally engaged and on the edge of my seat right from the beginning! This was a very enjoyable and entertaining story and I can’t wait for the next installment to see what happens next! Very highly recommend! This is my honest opinion of this complimentary copy of this book

The ultimate enemies-to-lovers trope!
Soren, vampire bound by duty to his maker is struggling with doing his master’s bidding and doing what’s right. For he can’t believe Mia is the evil and dangerous witch he’s been told about and surely she doesn’t deserve all the cruelty she’s been suffering.
Mia can’t believe she let Soren make her feel secure and cared about in her captivity almost to the point of forgetting her desire to escape.
Soon both will have to face their new found bond and decide on a course of action that might have dire consequences.
As usual, ms Brouillard’s writing is original, fast paced and compelling
Ends on a cliffhanger and part 2 can’t come soon enough!

We finally get to read what happens to Mia. This is such a confined story, that it needs to be well-written so it doesn’t go stale. I was not disappointed as there was so much emotion, tension, and longing packed into each scene.
There is so much more to uncover in this series and this teases you along that I couldn’t stop reading.
I loved reading about Mia and her kidnapping and the tumultuous time she had. Add in Soren and all of his history and you are given such an engrossing read.
I have to warn you that it ends on a cliffhanger and what a cliffhanger it is.
I NEED TO KNOW WHAT HAPPENS NEXT!
This is a wonderful 5* read.

"Caged Blood" is the third book in the Vampire Cursed Series. This book was magically and mysteriously made up of Witches and Vampires. The world in this book made it simply impossible to be friends with that of another kind, even if you knew each other as kids.
Vampires were trying to take over with the capture of every mystical being and jailing them in order to syphon their magic. Is it possible that there might just be an empathetic vampire who seeks another to be his own? The way he helps this witch to not only escape but to eventually be his love, is left to us to search for in Book numer 4.

Two absolutely skin crawling bad guys.

It's official - I can't decide which villain I want to obliterate first, Heath or Lucian. I thought they'd latter was number one on the obnoxious scale but, damn, Heath has just about got the top spot with ease. I can't remember the last time I wanted to punch someone so badly! I'm very glad I was reading this at home 'cos my language was less than ladylike.

The sweetness of Soren & Mia's fledgling relationship acts as a poignant counterbalance to all the nastiness engendered by the gruesome twosome. But will that be enough to get them safe, away from the hideous facility? Onward to the next book...

This is the story where we get to find out what happened to Mia and woah what a tragic tale. The deception from the witch side although we know about it from the previous story still seemed like a gut punch as Mia saw the betrayal from her side. I loved the connection between the hero and heroine but my goodness what a cliff hanger ending, I’m trusting that things will all work out in the next book. I can’t wait to read it and find out what happens next.
I received an ARC and this is my honest review.

Blood Caged by BE Brouilliard
Overall Score ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Heat Level 🔥🔥
This is the 3rd book in the Vampire Cursed series but follows a different couple than the first two books. I have read ALLLLLL of B.E. Brouillard's books and I have to say this is my favorite one yet! I cannot wait for the next book in this series to come out so that I can find out what happen to Mia and Soren.

Caged? Oh, Please!

Being held prisoner by supposed friends and known enemies who have a unknown agenda for you is frightening. Their long term plan is never explained and there is no value on a witches live. Witches are merely blood bags to these vampires and their associates. No end except death!

Blood Caged is a truly engaging read. The writing was better in this book than it was in the other two. It was a good story, and I loved being able to get to know the story of Mia. Her journey and character development in this installment were captivating and really pulled me in. I couldn't put it down and highly recommend it to fans of the series!
