Augie likes what he likes, but trying to explain himself to others almost never goes the way he plans...
Augie has been slow to start dating since his attack last year. He’s physically healed but still nervous about trusting new men. When Ethan, his friend’s Daddy, introduces him to a chef friend, Augie is smitten. The only problem is that chefs like to cook, and Augie is a picky eater. Like, can’t trust anyone to cook for him because it’s never right.
So he tries to hide his true feelings.
Dex is intrigued by the sweet boy Ethan introduced him to, but he gets the feeling there’s so much he doesn’t yet know. Other than the fact that Ethan likes to have Little playdates with Ethan’s boy and a few other friends, he isn’t sure how much of what Augie shares is true or half-truths.
But he has every intention of finding out.
Daddy’s Picky Eater is the eighth book in the Blue Collar Daddies in the City series about tough and tender Daddies looking for love and the sweet boys who help them find it. Inspired by the author’s own struggle with accepting food without a full ingredient list, you’ll find DDLB, ABDL, age play, and a happy ever after.
Book 8 in the series was just like the rest. Quick, cute, simple, and low-angst, which is what I've needed at the moment. However, they are starting to feel like I'm reading the same thing over and over.
This one being Augie's story, I was waiting for them to deal with his feelings after the traumatic incident a few books ago, but it was barely mentioned, and definitely not dealt with properly. Oh well.
Augie likes what he likes, but trying to explain himself to others almost never goes how he plans. Augie has been slow to start dating since his attack last year. He’s physically healed but still nervous about trusting new men. When Ethan, his friend’s Daddy, introduces him to a chef friend Dexter, Augie is smitten. The only problem is that chefs like to cook, and Augie is a picky eater. Like, he can’t trust anyone to cook for him because it’s never right. So he tries to hide his true feelings. This was a sweet story as Dex tried to work out what food Augie would be prepared to eat while Augie was trying to work out when Dex would dump him for being too fussy. Lots of emotions and feelings as the two navigated their new relationship. Easy to read, feel and understand. This was an MM story with mature content and a BDSM-like DDLB dynamic.
Daddy’s Picker Eater is so cute and adorable. Auggie struggles with food. Medically he can eat anything but between his taste and his brain he just can’t eat like, quote a normal person. There’s nothing wrong with Auggie like people believe there is and they just don’t understand or don’t want to understand. But in steps Daddy Dexter. A sweet Daddy Dom who’s been looking for a sweet boy for himself. Auggie is everything he has ever wanted in a boy. Auggie has been through some serious things in his life and all Daddy Dexter wants to do is show him how much he enjoys being with Auggie. It’s a really short story and I wish it was longer but Aria Grace did an excellent job with it. 5 stars ⭐️ for Auggie and Daddy Dexter’s story. 💜
This was Dexter and Augie's story. You met Augie a few stories back. He is best friends with Brayden, and it turns out Dex is friends with Brayden' daddy Ethan. Dex is a chef, and it definitely intrigued by Augie, who has major food issues. Having been dumped over them before Augie is sure Dex won't stick around, when he finds out how difficult Augie is. Dex tries really hard to give Augie what he needs around food, with no anger or coercion. This was a really quick read, probably about 45 minutes, but the stories are good, and the characters keep having cameos in the next books, so it's great to keep an eye on how they are all doing.
Super quick, zero angst, insta love novella. Dex and Augie fall fast and hard. Dex is a daddy and Augie is a little. Augie seems to always be in little space. We know from previous books that Augie went through something traumatic and he mentions still undergoing testing for it but it’s never discussed again. Dex’s and Augie’s age are never divulged, which is a major miss.
Augie and Dexter's book is cute, sweet, and steamy. It's everything I want from a book in the series. I love how hard Dexter works to make sure Augie knows that he's not too much trouble and that he is happy with Augie just the way he is. I recommend this book!
I absolutely loved this story. We saw what happened to Auggie previously so it was nice to see him get a daddy in his own story. Well written it was so sweet and touching a great addition to the series
