Lissandra is entirely too aware that life isn’t easy. While she’ll always blame herself for some of her struggles, it’s hard to accept that some things are not in anyone’s control. She’s finally climbing her way out of the darkness and realizes there are two things she must do. First, it’s time to take a break from men and dating so she can focus on herself. Next, she needs to get the hell away from the constant memories if she wants to finally have a fresh start.

Then, she meets Logan. Their connection is immediate. It feels different. One final night without strings attached won’t change her course. Or so she tells herself as her resolve begins to crumble.

Logan likes to keep to himself. Many years ago, he suffered a devastating loss. Now, he does what he can to help others to find a way to deal with their grief. As much as he tries to help people, he still keeps them at arm’s length. There are women in his life, but nothing serious. He’s already been there and done that. When he meets Lissandra, there’s no ignoring the immediate spark between them. No promises are made when he invites her to his place for a night of fun. But when he wakes up to an empty bed, he isn’t filled with the usual sense of relief.

Just as he begins to think the ache he’s felt since waking up alone is never going away, they happen to cross paths. Only when he sees her, gone is the fiery, sultry woman he’d taken home that night. In her place is a woman who is just doing the best she can. A woman he is desperate to keep in his life no matter what.

I'm a bookworm. My family teases me because I'll even read a book while I watch TV. Watching the game? Yup, I'm reading during the commercials.

Writing started off as a hobby. I would write what I wanted to read. When I was younger, I thought it was fun to write better versions of my favorite books... it all went well until the epic smut I wrote was discovered and I got grounded for two weeks.
Now I can't get grounded anymore :)

ARC REVIEW:

Genuine 5 stars, I enjoyed the character development and the very real depictions of grief and guilt while they explored the feelings that had developed. No weird third act breakup, no bs, it felt REAL. This book is a well written standalone that had your heart yearning for the characters happiness maybe even more so than the characters themselves. The insight into their thoughts and feelings felt as if I could feel them and the turmoil they felt internally. This book is well written, easy to read and dare I say left me teary eyed a few times more than I’d like to admit. Logan has such an easy to love personality and Lissandra made me feel some very real feelings. This book was perfect and everything it needed to be with just the right amount of romantic spice despite the initial circumstances. 5 stars.

ARC Review
Overall: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Story: 📖📖📖📖📖
Amount of Spice: 💥💥💥💥
Quality of Spice: 🌶🌶🌶

▪️Summary:
This was a great read! Logan is a contemporary romance written in the 3rd person. I'm not a huge fan of 3rd person because it's harder for me to feel like I'm "in" the book, but in this case, it didn't stop me from enjoying the read. I did not read Bryce, the first book in the series, and agree that Logan can be read as a standalone.

▪️Characters & Story:
The MCs were likable and had depth to them. There was a heavy focus on grief and love after loss in the book, and, (as someone who has lost a person close to them recently myself,) the effect it had on the characters was described accurately but not dwelled upon too much. I also liked that there was no big miscommunication or third act breakup. He falls first and quickly. They talk a lot about vulnerable topics with each other, and the difficulty of doing that is addressed well in the book which I also liked reading.

▪️Spicy Scenes:
The smut starts early in the book which I'm always a fan of. There were a healthy number of spicy scenes, most of them descriptive and a few fade to black. I'm always a sucker for good dialogue/dirty talk and this book delivered in that department.

Ashley has done it again. Logan and Lissandra’s story had me hooked from the beginning. Tragedy and mental health are real and have such an impact in people’s lives daily. Everything about this book felt real and that’s why I loved it so much. The way Logan loved and was so invested in Lassadra from the beginning was so heart felt. Letting someone in during your deepest darkest moments is hard but in the end it’s worth it.

Ashley Willow captures the high and lows of Logan and Lissandra's journey of heartbreak and self forgiveness. Logan is a fierce, supportive, protective MMC, vows to stick to one night stands, and helping others.Lissandra is strong, but emotional FMC, vows of men, and to start a fresh life. I think Lissandra may have cried too much, but who wouldn't in her situation. After a chance meeting, they get a chance at love again. I would definitely recommend this book to any romance reader.

A spicy romance with age gap, dealing with grief/loss, one night stand turns to more, some long distance battles.
Lissandra from the first book (Bryce) has her own story and meets Logan on a night out. Afterwards they can't keep each other off their minds, but Liss is not wanting to get involved with anyone. Logan is sweet and patient, and Liss is looking for an escape from reality.
There is some good spice that isn't over the top.
I very much enjoyed this series!

I went into this book curious and excited to see the real lissandra (Lizzy). After reading Bryce I kinda was on the fence about her. because yes she was the other woman and normally I HAAAAAATE the other woman/man. But by the end of Bryce I was a little more on her side but still skeptical.

Like I said going into this book, I wasn’t sure what I would think by the end, however, I am here to say that all of my fears were unfounded. It took a little bit, but I realized that her actions and the way that she did things in the past were purely a trauma response, and she really didn’t know. The way that she and Logan met right on the precipice of her, deciding that she was going to focus on herself definitely had me interested.

This book definitely shown a lot on grief and mental health issues and how it affects your daily life. It also shows that no matter how hard it is right now it doesn’t always hurt so much. I was truly able to see just how much Logan really cared for her from the beginning.I definitely loved how he went at her speed, knowing that she still wasn’t sure of herself and was fighting an internal battle and felt like she deserved to punish herself. I was hooked from start to finish.

We meet Lissandra in Bryce and she was not a favorable character. But… I also didn’t hate her. I almost pitied her. I like that this is her redemption story. Everyone has flaws and there are two sides to every story. The fact that Lissandra understands and knows her flaws and wrong doings and is working on herself, says a lot about her. And that is what makes a good redemption story. Knowing she is flawed, she is broken, she has issues and is seeking ways to improve herself. And I loved that this was her foundation through out the story because let’s face it…we can’t fix our issues in just one scene. Or even two. Losing someone like Lissandra had, is hard to recover from and add in the marital issues and affair (plus other unfavorable situation from Bryce) and it’s a recipe for a mindf$ck.

Enter Logan and BABY the man is a walking sex on a stick! Holy hotness! Right from the start. And he continues to stay book boyfriend material the entire time. He runs a bar, therapy group and has suffered his own loss. His supportive nature is one of his best qualities (and his dirty mouth but I digress).

Tropes: age gap, he falls first (hard), healing, firefighter (her), redemption (her)

My first time reading an Ashley Willow book.

I’m not really a big fan of 3rd person, but I have to say I enjoyed the book regardless. Logan is… damn Logan is one hell of a man. Not only is he physically attractive, but I could feel the genuine care and support he felt for and gave Lissandra from the very beginning to the very end, which made him even more attractive to me. And I love that Lissandra was working on herself because she understood her issues and the past mistakes she made, I just loved her character development as a whole.

The topics of grief and loss were very well written. As someone who has had some losses in my life; I connected with the characters and I could feel the effects the losses had on them, which made me emotional a couple times.

And now the spicy scenes… oh the spicy scenes… They were amazing. I loooooved all the dirty talk and how descriptive they were. 🤭

I just loved this book. Took me a little bit to get hooked, but once I was… I was HOOKED. Now I gotta go back and read Bryce lol.

I absolutely loved Bryce so when I say Logan was coming out I knew I had to read it. I'm so glad I did. This one tells Lissandra and Logan's Story. Lissandra was from Bryce and I was NOT a fan of hers but she had her redemption story here because I loved her in this book. Lissandra is struggling with grief and ends up going to a bar where she meets Logan. She ends up meeting him again at a support group she decides to attend. Little does she know Logan might just be the person to help her manage her grief and start living again. Logan is such a great character and you will fall in love with him. Even though this book is emotional it is truly beautiful and shows how people grieve and heal. The story and characters are well written and enjoyable. I can't wait to see what Ashley Willow writes next. This book held my attention from the beginning until the end. If you love a good emotional read that will melt your heart in the end then this book is for you. I would HIGHLY recommend this book.

Thank you Ashley Willow for allowing me to read this ARC for my honest opinion.

I’m so glad I had the chance to read this book! It took me on an emotional journey, and I couldn’t put it down. Lissandra (heroine), a firefighter, is working hard to rebuild her life and take control after facing some tough challenges. Logan (hero), who owns the bar where they first meet, also hosts the grief support group that Lissandra eventually starts attending. His character adds so much depth to the story—his struggle with past loss and his commitment to helping others made him both complex and endearing.

The chemistry between Logan and Lissandra is undeniable, but what really stood out to me was how the story goes beyond romance. It’s about personal growth, second chances, and learning to trust again, which makes it so much more meaningful. Ashley Willow beautifully captures the complexities of grief, love, and hope, making the characters feel authentic and relatable.

If you love emotionally gripping stories with flawed yet lovable characters, Logan (New Beginnings Book 2) is a must-read. Highly recommend!

In Logan by Ashley Willow, you quickly realize that everyone could use a “Logan” in their life—whether for romance or as a steady friend. Logan is such an incredible character: thoughtful, endlessly patient, and completely selfless. Plus, let’s face it, he’s swoon-worthy!

Lissandra, whom fans might remember from Bryce, has faced some truly difficult hardships. Seeing her backstory unfold not only deepened my empathy for her but completely changed how I saw her. Her story is heartbreaking, filled with anxiety and constant struggles, which makes her resilience so inspiring.

Ashley Willow’s skill in crafting complex characters and bringing emotional depth to her stories is simply amazing. She has a gift for pulling readers right into the lives of her characters, making us feel every challenge and triumph with them. Logan is yet another example of her incredible talent, and it’s a story that stays with you long after you turn the last page.

This book was good, Lisaandra wasn't my favorite person in Bryce, but she slowly came around in Logan. This series can be read as standalones, but definitely make sure to check your trigger warnings, they deal with heavy topics. This story felt a little flat, sometimes boring in some spots, but the spice makes up for that. Can't wait for more books in this series!

Tropes: he falls first and falls hard, FMC firefighter/MMC bar owner, grief, "mine", "good girl", one night stand turned more, and no 3rd Act Breakup.

Favorite Quote: "You're so f***king pretty when you beg for my c**k."

This was so beautiful!!! I’ve read four Ashley Willow books so far and even though I loved them all, Logan is my absolute favorite!!

Logan (MMC) is everything a man should be. Kind, caring, patient and absolutely filthy in the bedroom 😉

The way he helped Lissandra (MFC) through her grief while still struggling with his own is nothing short of amazing.

This story was filled with heartache and paid but brought so beautifully full circle by their heartwarming love story.

Logan is a great read that will definitely have you falling in love with the MMC! Lissandra is on a journey of healing after suffering the loss of a child, the end of her marriage and making some choices that were less ideal that led to even more heartbreak. She is trying to rebuild her life and focus on her so a relationship is the last thing she has on her mind. A chance meeting with Logan leads to a heartfelt story filled with laughs, love and spice.

When I say every woman needs a Logan in their lives.... I mean, every woman deserves a Logan. Kind, caring, human, and a great communicator. I loved this book. Two people who have been hurt have hurt and are now walking out their healing. It's such a great read. Makes an even better reread.

I received an ARC and am voluntarily giving my review.

Based in NYC, Lissandra works with the fire department and Logan is a bar owner and grief counselor. Grief and trauma was a huge part of the plot, but it was good to read about real life trauma. Had a good amount of spice! It’s not too long either (less than 300 pages). I just had a hard time relating to both of the main characters.

I loved that Logan wasn't pushy when it came to Lissandra. He was patient and exactly what she needed even if she didn't know it. He went at her pace and was such a great MMC.

I found Lissandra a little annoying, but Logan made up for it!

I really enjoyed Bryce, but Logan is on a whole other level. If we’re all willing to forgive Lizzy’s indiscretions, then this is a perfect redemption story.

Another hit.

This was a raw real look at grief emotional and heartfelt. It was also about hope and what choosing that after grief could look like.
