I like my MMC to be the giver, not the taker. Also, his obsession with her "innocence" was freaking annoying. And the FMC was too bland; she has no other personality except for being horny. 🤷‍♀️

This was a cute instalove romance. It was a short story with a fast pace and an over the top instalove storyline, but in the best way. Victoria wasn’t having the best day when she met James but then things started getting better and better.

The story is simple. Victoria, a children's librarian who loves her book boyfriends, accidentally burns the library, a historical site. James, the tatted firefighter/cage fighter, saves the day along with his firefighter guys and he falls instantly for Victoria. She goes to one of James fights, and felt out of place, but loved to see the hunky man fight. She falls for James too and seeks him out. It is instalust really, not instalove. She needs to raise funds to repair the library, so she has the idea of making a calendar, with the guys as the subjects, and it works. They get married, pregnant, and are happy decades later. They do a lot of fucking in the interim. The end.
I did not feel the love, it is more lust. Neither ever said the three letter words 'I love you'. He says he adores her. Ok. *eye roll* What I could not get past is that he kept talking to her and in his inner monologue about her virgin cunt and how he is the only man she will ever fuck, how he can tell she is a virgin, that her virgin cunt is all his... It got tiresome and annoying, because it was not reciprocated. Great, she is all yours, but you can't say that you are all hers. That killed the fantasy, and I just am tired of the double standards, especially when it is shoved down my throat. Yes, we get it, your dick is the only one she will ever know, which I love, but you can't say the same that she is the only one you have been with! I am imagining that since he never said he was a v, and compared their kiss as the best kiss he ever had (an OW comparison I did not like), can he say this is the only pussy he has ever wanted to touch? No, I doubt it. Even though it wasn't said, he seemed very experienced, and that killed it for me. I did not like the double standards at all. Even the 35 year later epilogue that was all cutesy did not save it for me. The only two things I liked is the way he reacted when she said she was pregnant; He was elated and so happy he shed a tear and the cover is yummy. At least it was short and quick to read.

Victoria recently moved to Montana for her dream job at a children’s library but just a month later, the beloved building is half ruined by a fire Victoria accidentally starts. All is not lost, though — the National Heritage site can be restored and the accident introduced her to James, a firefighter who moonlights as a cage fighter one day a week. James can’t believe his luck. The fire was unfortunate but it led him to Victoria, his dream girl.

I loved this book! It’s the perfect instalove story, with lots of heat and no angst. James is sexy AF and his charm oozes off the page. His possessiveness and certainty that they belonged together just made me love him all the more. I liked that Victoria didn’t fall into the spiral of “why me?” and “I’m not good enough” that consumes so many FMCs in instalove books. The epilogues were sweet and great additions to the story.

This book has a permanent spot on my “to read again” list. Highly recommend.

This was an enjoyable read. Victoria accidentally burned the library where she started working at and along come the hot firefighters to the rescue. One in particular caught her eye and for her he was the hottest one. Loved this read and I would recommend it

This short, hot romance is a great read for fans of safe romance with a HEA.

There is mention of previous characters from the rest of the series that help tie them together without you needing the read any of the other books to know what is going on.

Definitely recommend this book.

Victoria moved to Greene Mountain, Montana for her dream job as a librarian in a Children’s Library. She set books out in front of the library to try and get people interested. Victoria sees four preteens out there looking at the books. She wants to start up a preteen book club like what she has for younger children. Victoria goes out to talk to the boys and girl and they are acting suspicious. Victoria smells cigarette smoke and demands the boy give her the cigarette, she throws it in the garbage and proceeds to tell the kids about the dangers of smoking. The girl gasps when the garbage can catches on fire and it spreads. The library is in a National Heritage Site. Victoria sends the kids to get the fire department. James is a firefighter and he bare knuckle fights every third Thursday at the Cracked Barrel Saloon. He is an adrenaline junkie. James is working out on the bag when four kids come riding up to tell them the library is on fire. James doesn’t have time to get fully dressed so he just has an undershirt, pants, boots and helmet on. When the fire truck gets to the children’s library there is a woman out front trying to battle the fire with a hose. The moment James sees her he is instantly in love and knows she is the one for him. Victoria can’t believe she burned the children’s library. A big strong firefighter comes over and holds her while she cries. He promises that everything will be okay. Victoria is very attracted to James and when she finds out that he will be fighting that night she has to go see him. Victoria is a virgin and she wants to be with James. Will James and Victoria be able to rebuild the children’s library? Will James and Victoria become soulmates? Will James and Victoria find love and happiness together in Greene Mountain?

Splendid Greene Mountain Boys romance!

My reviews always contain spoilers, I write them so I can remember the story.

Victoria has just landed her dream job, a librarian for the children’s library On Green Mountain. She’s doing a great job with story time with the younger kids and wants to start a reading group with teens. When she sees a few teens looking at the book display she goes outside to talk with them. When she catches one of them smoking she takes the cigarette from him and drops it into the trash can. Without stomping it out first! The trash can had rags used to clean up gasoline, this causes a fire which spreads and almost burns down the historical library.
James is a firefighter and cage fighter, when he rushes to the library with his crew to put out the fire he finds his “one”. Its lust/love at first sight. She’s feeling it for him too. When he steps away to check things a fellow firefighter swoops in and tries to flirt with Victoria but she’s not interested. This guys a braggart and keeps telling everyone she’s his date to the pub where James fights. James stakes his claim and the other guy begrudgingly backs off.
After his fight he walks Victoria out and they share their first kiss.
She finds out the insurance company is not going to pay for everything so she comes up with the idea of a hot firefighter calendar to make money. She takes pics of all six of the firefighters and it sells like hotcakes.
The crew is called out when she takes James’ pictures and being alone they enjoy sexy oral times. Later they have their first time, she’s a virgin no mention of his past.
Epilogues one year later with the library rebuilt, James no longer fighting, he also comes to read to the little kids during story time, and she telling him she’s pregnant. Thirty five years later with kids and grandkids.
Who throws a lit cigarette into a trash can!!

This was great! I absolutely am looking this series! This town is beautiful and peaceful and apparently men grow on trees! Like men men. Mountain men. And this gal is 100% ok with it! The town is a literal dream, I like my quiet places with a lot of scenery and this town hits the spot for a lot of reasons. The writing is fun! I love how the characters are all entertaining, quirky and make me laugh and smile. The situations that she comes up with, I'm dying over here at the library scene alone. A sad moment that was written in a way that you have to grin at. And the characters. Distinctive and fun!

She came for a cute workplace and a beautiful view. Then she needed some help watching her dreams literally burn and along he came...

She was a strong female and as much as Doug made me laugh, I give her credit for standing her ground. And James...what a gentleman! Among other things...he is a firefighter, a great man, and a fighter. Is it a little hot in here?! At least we've found the right man for the job! This was a fun and sexy book and I love the safety of it. I just knew it was eyes only on her for him and vice versa. The chemistry was fantastic and I loved this pairing. This was another sweet read that made even the simple act of serving warm white wine fun! Next match, her vs. The Waitress. I simply love Olivia's writing style and this is a shining example of why.

Poor Victoria, if it wasn’t for bad luck, our FMC wouldn’t have any luck at all!! Searching for a way to escape her hometown, she was applying for library positions and was thrilled when she came across one in the Greene Mountains in Montana for the cutest children’s library housed in an old railway station. Thinking that had been the luckiest day of her life, she was in for a rude awakening a month later when she set the library, a National Heritage Site, building on fire. Without the city fire department’s fast response, it would’ve burned to the ground but as it was, it still sustained severe damage causing the library to have to close and Victoria to be out of a job.

At least there was a silver lining….the firefighter to comfort her was the hottest man she’d ever seen and he was just as smitten as she was.

James loved being a firefighter, he did, but sometimes he just needed that extra adrenaline fix and he got it by cage fighting in a seedy local bar. Until he met the shy little librarian, she just may be all the “fix” he needs.

Oh my gosh, talk about hot, this book was hot with a big ol’ H-O-T!! I guess that’s what comes of messing around with a sexy firefighter like James 🤷‍♀️. This one is going in my (not only reread folder but my) FREQUENT reread folder! 5++ STARS!!!.

Victoria our young new librarian wanting to get young childrens mind excited about reading. She just finished reading to a small group of kids when a group of teenagers come up to her display. She is excited to see the teenagers. But they just wanted to smoke and hide by her display. But she wanted them ttop, when she asked for the cigarettes and threw them away she didnt put them out all the way. Anyways, now the library could go up in flames. Lucky the kids called the forehouse and quickly extenguished the fire..where she sets on on the cute hunky fireman Jason. But some else has his eyes on Victoria. But she seems smitten on Jason.

To get her mind off the colossal worst day she agrees to meet up for drinks wIth Doug and his crew mates for fight joght and drinks. Hoping Jason will be there she goes and quickly tells Doug nothing will happen. But sparks fly between Victoria snd Jason. But she needs help raising funds to help rebuild the library. They both come up with a plan. But who’s idea will actually work?

Great to see the other characters grafe us with their presense. Loved it!.

Y.E.A.H!! 😏 Insta-love at it's finest, opposite-attracts, growly, bearded, with multiple tattoos - firefighters, "she's mine vibes"  that will do anything to make his woman happy -  D.O.U.B.L.E. H.E.L.L. Y.E.A.H!! 💕 Victoria is the children's librarian & James is a local firefighter and likes to cage fight. Their meet-cute is while the children's library is on fire.

I loved these characters!! The leads, James and Victoria, were so different in how they approached things, yet they were equally tenacious about achieving their goals, taking care of others (in their own way), and making the community better. The secondary characters also played a priceless role in the story, especially Doug. Ah, poor Doug, not sure what to say about him and his propensity for exaggerating (understatement of the year!). Mason dealt with him nicely though.🤣

Victoria was having a great start to her new life, until she wasn't. Meeting James was the only bright spot of that day... and she certainly made his as well. Would they even get a chance to explore things with how they got separated? Clearly, ssomeone's gonna have to give Fate a bit of help on this one. Their story is sweet and exciting, as well as low angst (no 3rd act breakup or cheating). Great addition to the Green Mountain Boys. Check it out!

The rest is steamy history along with instalove and a little cage fighting!! OTT delivers the best feel-good vibes and as always, the epilogues are just right. Be prepared to read it all in one setting along with a cold drink as James is the perfect combination of sexy and determination to get his woman. By the way,I absolutely loved the Dedication 😂.

Swoon. James was thee perfect MMC. He was obsessed with our leading lady right away. I absolutely love how OTT writes her OTT men. It happens instantaneously. They see their soulmate and game over. They must get her, claim her and keep her. That was James. Their chemistry was off the freaking charts. Victoria was a shy librarian, but she had fantasies, thanks to her steamy book boyfriends. I loved her. She was sweet and a little nerdy. They brought out the best in each other. I also love how far in the future Olivia takes her epilogues. I love seeing the couples still smitten so far in the future. I've been with my husband for almost 20 years and I feel the same. Another hit to add to the amazing Greene Mountains series.

It's a sweet instalove romance that packs a punch in just a short read. The pace is quick, and while the instalove aspect might be a bit OTT, it totally works in this story's favor. I genuinely loved every moment!

James is just incredibly swoon-worthy! His irresistible charm practically leaps off the page. I adored his confident possessiveness, which only made me root for him and Victoria even more.
