Incredible how a book can be both painful and uplifting at the same time. Tells the story of three runaway children, two of whom escaped from what might be an all-too-normal, horrific juvenile detention situation (I’ve never researched the modern state of such). The three children, yes and kind, good, caring, honest, gentle and wholesome men who welcome them into their disparate lives, and help them to learn to trust. All this, and it was enjoyable to read !
