SOMEONE IS ABOUT TO DIE…BUT THERE IS FAR WORSE AFOOT
Nether-Staining, Yorkshire and indeed Earth has been destroyed by Gods, yes plural, and the population, which was rescued by aliens just prior to Armageddon, is an accident waiting to happen because they have nothing to do but drink of the Priest’s the primary reason for their rescue.
But although a life of continuous inebriation sounds wonderful, such delight can only last as long as the beer supply, especially when the alternative drink has a very dubious name. The Universe is about to run out of beer and finding the ingredients to make more is now a matter of life and death.
Heroes are often required in such situations and this time maybe Hippo Man and Blue Boy will meet their match because, quite frankly, superpowers are not in their repertoire and they might just need them.
Journeying across space, time and beyond in search of ale, a good cup of Yorkshire Tea and a bacon sandwich has never been so tough but when you have friendship, a dog, a robot, a space tractor with an attitude problem and someone who cannot stop recalling his many roles in questionable adult movies you have always got a chance.
Maybe this time it is the end…but maybe it is actually the beginning.
Graham Johns was born in the United Kingdom rather longer ago than most people who know him might realise (except for the giveaway hairline). Hailing from Yorkshire but now living in New Zealand with his wife and a long-held, and rather clichéd for an author, love of reading books, he figured he might as well have a go at writing...and after many years of living in Yorkshire...where better place to set stories...?
He's not sure where the idea for the village of Nether-Staining came from, nor the characters of Mick and Gordon...but hopefully they're not representations of his inner-self...
