THE SEQUEL TO BAABARIC HAS ARRIVED!

“Why am I looking at the sheep dip, precisely?” Ernest asked impatiently with his hands in pockets.

“I’ve made a start!” Mick beamed.

“On what?”

“A Yorkshire wall!”

Ernest looked into the sheep dip more closely, at the base of the ditch was a small pile of stones maybe two yards long and a yard wide; and a foot tall. It would take an able man a matter of an hour to build, maybe just thirty minutes with a wheelbarrow.

“How long have you been working on it?”

“Just a week. Not bad eh?” Mick looked about him furtively. “I need to make sure nobody sees me lifting anything just in case I lose my disability benefits.”

Nether-Staining was once a peaceful farming community but this is no longer true. The villagers are determined to protect their little piece of paradise from those who would seek to do harm, especially if that harm involves merging their beloved Yorkshire with Lancashire. Desperate times call for desperate measures but all is not as it seems, and just who is friend and who is foe?

Graham Johns was born in the United Kingdom rather longer ago than most people who know him might realise (except for the giveaway hairline). Hailing from Yorkshire but now living in New Zealand with his wife and a long-held, and rather clichéd for an author, love of reading books, he figured he might as well have a go at writing...and after many years of living in Yorkshire...where better place to set stories...?

He's not sure where the idea for the village of Nether-Staining came from, nor the characters of Mick and Gordon...but hopefully they're not representations of his inner-self...

My kindle broke halfway through reading Stoned, and I was sad to leave the world of Nether Staining. But Christmas brought me a new reading device, which allowed me to return – yay! It was a pleasure to read more funny capers, which take place in the comfortingly familiar world I moved away from years ago. The plot was more intricate and twisty than the first book, and the characters come out with some cracking lines. Loved Matthew!

Looking forward to reading the next books in the Nether Staining series.

I'm glad I had the opportunity to read this book and enjoyed my time with it immensely. Smutty Matthew was an awesome addition to the universe who i'm sure will be enjoyed by all! For me this is a step up from the first book though I wish we could see some more of the alien technology like we did in Baabaric. Thank you Graham for putting together this sequel and I hope many more give this book the chance it deserves.
