Id: Book 1 of the Eternal Dominion Series

Rate this book
Allison is a rural town in the Alabama foothills that lies directly below the Tennessee state line. Everybody knows everybody in Allison, and not much passes by unnoticed. However, it baffles the residents of this hilly hamlet that as if from nowhere, wickedly cruel crimes begin taking place, and a once quiet community of faith and peace quickly turns to the epicenter of fear and tragedy.

Marcus Spasmen, Henry Paul Loadwain, and Jonathan Obmen are three lifelong friends who find themselves facing off against the antagonist of a millennia! They must stave off the darkness within themselves while resisting a timeless malevolence that seeks to snuff out all life around them.

Who is this "Id"? How can anyone withstand such a hateful foe? Will the fate of the entire world rest in the hands of such unsung heroes and their seemingly inconsequential town?

This is a powerful story of good and evil—a harrowing look at what can come of the sinful heart of man and a beautiful display of God’s great grace.

There are elements of Jekyll and Hyde, elements of Screwtape Letters, and elements of pure psychological thriller. This book dives deep into darkness and is not for the faint of heart—but the light at the other end is all the brighter for it.

I leave this book with a greater recognition of the spiritual battle that rages around us as well as a deeper understanding of the power of God and the beauty of the fellowship of believers. I am looking forward to more from Levi Armstrong.
