If accepting my destiny means tearing down the fae realm, then so be it.
I don’t know if I trust Ophiuchus, the secret third Court I ran away with.
Their leader wants to work with me, but he’s kept secrets from Eli, my fated mate. Secrets that have shaken Eli to his core. Secrets I’m not sure we can move past from.
But we don’t have a choice. Not while Eli is trapped by a vow he was forced to make—a vow that says he must kill me.
For the first time since I entered the fae realm, I’m in control of my destiny, and I’ll do whatever it takes to save my fated mate and ensure our freedom.
Legacy of the Fae is the final book in the Court of Cruel Fae trilogy.

Overall, I would say this series was okay for me. I was intrigued and like Eli and Xyla together, but there were also some parts that annoyed me. I felt awful for Xyla when she had to lock up Eli in the dungeon but she was definitely kinky tying him up with chains down there to get frisky. I was glad they found a way for the vow to be broken, but mad that Theron waited so long to tell them. Her mom was being very selfish by asking her to come back home when Xyla was honest about how she felt and what she was planning on doing on Faerie. I was glad when the vow broke because finally, Eli got to go places with her and wasn’t always left behind but they hid him for way too long. I felt angry with him because he needed to be there to save her. I was glad Caelum died, he deserved it and I’m glad she let Eli do the honour after everything he put Eli through. The ending felt a bit rushed I felt with both of them just bowing down to her demands. She did show a great deal of power but I didn’t expect them to obey that easily. I also wished we had a better ending for Eli and Xyla because I felt like they barely had any time together after the agreement and we didn’t get to see him change or become king or get married or something!! I wanted a little more from them but it was still a good read and it kept me intrigued and hooked.

Lovely book! I loved how it was resolved. I'm especially happy Silas didn't end up being a major jerk 🥰🥰 also, can we have a book about him & Bellamy? They are literally so freaking cute!! ❤️🔥❤️🔥
It was a good read and I liked that the final focused more on the plot than the romance - but I’m also happy to have finished this series as the plot felt super rushed. While reading I often wished that the plot would have been better divided over the whole series but also whether there would be a fourth book as I couldn’t imagine how the autor would finish it in the few remaining chapters. And well, the end was super anticlimatic as the whole conflict that lasted for centuries was solved within two chapters. So it felt kinda underwhelming.
But I liked Xylas character development over the whole series as she grows more and more into her powers and she finally adepts to her new reality. In the end I even kinda liked her as she became a strong character. Eli felt a bit flat in this book - more like a supporting character than a main character, but I still liked him. Who I couldn’t stand (right from the start of the series) was Xylas Mum - she downplayed her a lot and tried to force her hand in how Xyla should behave (as she did Xylas whole life). She was so selfish and I didn’t like how she still treated Xyla like a stupid child.
Loved the journey that Xyla went on throughout the whole series. As much as she wanted to escape in the beginning, she found her home. Along the way, she created a new family and friends. Something she was lacking in the human world. I wanted to go through the book what happened at the during of book 2, but there was redemption with an assist from family in this book. She is rightfully where she belongs and has the Night and Day Court in a chokehold.
Xyla and Eli were definitely not in a good spot at end of the last book. There were so many questions about Silas and his court and the vow Eli made to do whatever his brother Caelum ordered. With Xlya and Eli being fated mates and his brother ordering him to kill her how would it all work out? Would she go home? Decide to take a stand? It was fast paced and even had a few surprises. The love and support of Eli for Xyla made this a great love story!
Eli’s love and support for Xyla was everything—I adore them so much! Xyla’s mom and Theron—heart eyes! I loved the friendships/found family. The action was a blast, and the story is fast-paced.
Eli & Xyla were skeptical of Silas at first, but I knew he had a good heart from the start. I’m so glad he stayed on the right path, and in the end, it was a perfect happily ever after!
What a beautiful ending to this trilogy! Eli is the perfect shadow daddy boyfriend. Swoon! He sticks up for his girl at every turn, and isn’t afraid of her power (in the bedroom and outside - wink wink). Xyla had amazing growth, and came into her power in such a fearsome way in this story! Between the escape, the decisions, and the war… the love for family and friends persevered.
'Faerie wasn’t perfect, but it was home. My home. It took a long way to get here, to have this little sanctuary, but it was worth it, and I couldn’t wait to spend an eternity with Eli and my family.'
This was a nice and quick paced read I loved it!!! Have to share some love for Rose and Bear ❤️
Answered some major questions after book 2 this was a wonderful tie in to the trilogy.
Enjoyed this book, however it did feel rushed, and I want more lol. I think an additional 100 pages for the final book would have helped to close up specific characters with more detail (like Lorcan, Mari/Dane) and go into greater depth with other story lines as well. The character development was good and FMC Xyla definitely matured which I am happy about. Overall, loved the series!
honestly the serious is pretty awesome and the covers kind of give away where she will be. I think the explicit indications are great. the last book is pretty good and I'm glad we can see different perspectives. although I did feel like xyla was taking her sweet time about the court becoming her own. I felt like Eli was in the shadows to long as well. get out there bro.
great story though 👏👌

loved the story but the grammatical errors were distracting.
Too many grammatical and spelling errors were honestly distracting - especially when they were in pivotal scenes. But overall I still loved this story!
Fast paced and couldn’t put it down. While a lot was quite predictable, I still enjoyed the story. It made me laugh and cry and I feel satisfied overall, but I wish there was more closure. (Side note: still really dislike her pet name :/ )
I have followed Xyla and Eli from the beginning, I'm am thrilled with the way the story continued in this book. Xyla knows what she wants and fights to get it.
Lost track on how many typos, wrong words, or missing words this book has. For some reason all 3 books have a problem with conjunctions. You know, the words a, an, to, the, etc. if you’re going to write a book and have it put into kindle format please make sure it’s properly proofread. 3 stars for having a good storyline to work with but loss of 2 stars for stilted text and typos throughout.
I really enjoyed the ending of this story. It felt like it nicely wrapped up without killing everyone off. Love that Eli and Xyla got their happy ending.
Xyla really grew into her powers and who she wanted to be in this book. I enjoyed all of her growth. She didn’t back down from a challenge and fought for those she loved.
Eli had to fight the vow in the beginning but once that was broken and he was free, we got to see him become the person he wanted. He was SOOOO supportive of Xyla. Love a man that supports his woman wholeheartedly.
I enjoyed the series. It wasn’t as polished as other series I’ve read but I will definitely be looking for more books by Hailey.

I had the joy of reviewing and ARC reading this book series. I cannot begin to describe how much I loved it but here it goes! The pacing of this was great, each book left you hanging on waiting for the next. The characters were so well written and relatable, it felt as if I knew them. I'm not gonna lie, parts of the book had me in years with the emotions and experiences that the characters had to ensure. This is unique and brings a new perspective to the fae worlds.
