I just LOVE strong women who aren’t all “look at me, I’m not like OTHER girls” in their attitude. Victoria is very low key (kinda has to be, it’s a major plot point, but I’m on board for it) and she’s OP without seeming like she is, if that makes any sense, lol.

Not sure I’ll continue with the manga, as I read the light novel first, but it’s not bad. Just not as fleshed out as a light novel can be.

4, very satisfactory, stars.

It felt a little all over the place as I was reading. Maybe it improves as the series goes on.

This was delightful!!

I was hoping I would like this because I heard it had the theme of found family and oh my goodness it was wonderful!! Maybe because this is adapted from a light novel, the pacing? feeling? felt different than most shoujo manga I read because rather than a quick focus on romance (which I personally don't mind), within the first few pages it focuses on Victoria adopting a young child. I was shocked! Not in a bad way, but in a way that found family trope starts right from the beginning! So I would definitely say if you prefer romance to be on the back burner with found family taking the focus, then this is a manga I would highly recommend!

Speaking of the romance, I LOVE how the male lead Jeffery is so smitten with Victoria! He's got it down bad for her and I love to see it! He is a wonderful lead to cheer for and support and I was totally thriving at seeing him love Victoria's independence! Plus like her, he has a heart to help others and do what he can! Perfect match if you ask me, especially since he always included Nonna anytime he wanted to go on an outing with Victoria!

Victoria herself is an interesting character! I love her as she is but sometimes my heart broke for her because of how she didn't always know how to act or what expression to make without putting it on an act due to her past life of being a spy. I hope she can continue to be her normal self and enjoy her life with Nonna by her side!

Overall, I really enjoyed this first volume and am very interested to see where it goes! I will definitely be recommending this series!

Super fun! About an ex-spy trying to get by as normal, adopts a cute child ( and teaches her everything she knows which leads some very funny moments), and there is more. I hope that Victoria is able to get a happy life, she deserves it after the shit she has gone through. Also I am shipping her and Captain Jeffrey, they make quite a cute couple. Plus, there are also fun side characters. And fun art!

Review to come in April/May.

A light and fun read! I wasn't sure what to expect and even if it wasn't what I thought it would be, the story was great and I'm looking forward to reading the rest of the series!

I honestly thought it would be about a female killer moving from town to town under different identities, going after targets. More like a dark story à la Jack the Ripper. Why? I have no clue... It ended up being about the main character moving to a new town to have a fresh start at life, where she meets many nice people and getting used to a "normal" life (as the character puts it.) It was very enjoyable and I loved how bada** the main character is, but in a very refined and ladylike way, with sharpened sense. After all, she is a former spy (no spoilers here, it's in the description!)

I do recommend this book!

Victoria was part of the spy world for so long that it's hard to shake but when she tries to live a basic, normal life, Nonna, a girl sitting on a park bench seemingly abandoned by her family is discovered and Victoria can't leave Nonna to an orphanage so she takes her in just as she's caught up in a regency romance and invited to a ball.

It's a smattering of a romance and family story but I'm sure as the series goes on, readers will learn more about Victoria's background in espionage. It seems a little disorganized, but not necessarily in a bad way.

Sooooo I've actually read the 1st volume of the light novel for Victoria of Many Faces but it was honestly quite...mid? Like it wasn't as interesting HOWEVER!! The manga was just soooo adorable and cute 💖 Victoria and Nonna are so precious and I especially loved Nonna's facial expressions (so cute ><) so I'll definitely be continuing the story in manga format 🥰!!

loved this way more than I thought I would - the art is perfection, and I'm really enjoying both the romance and the spy intrigue!! though I think parts of this pacing is going a little fast, overall it's quite entertaining. I'm definitely in for the next volume!

Very cute. I am glad I got the first three volumes in the series.

Everything happens very fast and you have to suspend your disbelief for a few things but all in all it is an enjoyable story.

Such a fun story of a girl who wants to get free of her past being raised as a spy. Vicky is going to be a great woman. A kid, a guy, and many new friends!

I absolutely adored this story of an empowered young woman fighting to reinvent herself away from her country who ruined her life and forced her into becoming a spy for them. As soon as she found out, she fled off to another kingdom and hopes to start over, but I think we all know that they're going to be coming after her in her new home. Of course, there's a dashing young man involved, and he knows nothing but suspects something's up. Everything's a house of cards that Victoria is building around her.

Victoria and Jeffrey have NO chemistry… and in my opinion, she looks A LOT like his dead fiancée.
