I have never been a fan of Tracey West's work but this one grabbed my attention. It was written very well, unlike some of her other books. I found I could not put it down. I constantly wanted to find out what happened next. This is by far the best of the LEGO Ninjago chapter books so far. A great plot full of surprises and ingenious plans by the ninja. Tracey was much more detailed and focused, which gave the book depth. This is definitely one of her stronger books.

My son wanted to read this as a bedtime story over the course of a few nights. He did enjoy but he said he saw the episode already so he already knew what was going to happen before I read it.
