Disappointing.
The resolution of last volume's cliffhanger was a bit of a fizzle that resolves too quickly and easily with little repercussion.
Then the focus skitters around a bit through side characters, setting up endgame strategies with some, just checking in others, killing off one I don't really care about, and even going on an amusement park date.
By volume's end, we're ready for another fight, but now I'm not particularly vested in the outcome.
Still, I have the next volume on hand from the library, and there are only two more after that to wrap up the series, so I'm certainly not dropping it at this point.

Highlights:
- Jinwoo totally defeats Thomas Andre (technically speaking this would make him the strongest Hunter on the planet)
- We meet Greed, Jinwoo's new Shadow General, who is actually Dongsoo Hwang
- It is announced that Jinwoo's Dad is a prime suspect in a murder, but Jinwoo is able to escape uch of the controversy from it
- Chairman Go awakens as a vessel of a Ruler (who stand opposing the Monarchs) and is killed by the Frost Monarch.
- Jinwoo runs off the Frost Monarch, but Go dies anyways. Woo replaces him as head of the Hunter's Association
- Thomas Andre gives Jinwoo two daggers from the corpse of Kamish, while they share a lunch. They are extremely powerful!
- The largest gate ever opens over Seoul. Jinwoo prepares by training and going out to a carnival date with Hunter Cha, because they are "friends".
- The Frost, Fang, and Plague Monarchs all come to attack Jinwoo together.
Must continue... so good.... must see what happens!

Fifth time reading this wonderful series and still a joy. Go Jinwoo Go. I love this series, I adore the series.

Fourth time rereading and it's still gorgeous and wonderful to read, and so with joy I continue.
Man, I am re-reading the series for the third time, and still not enough time has passed, so we are still awaiting the English language release for later volumes still but for others, it's there. So once again it's a joy to go through the journey.
When I read this series in March, only 9 volumes had been published. Now, there are 12 published, but even the last few volumes are not yet available in English. I am glad to have this web novel available online so that I can enjoy it not only once but twice a year and completely both times. So let's go ahead and Keep on reading.
I have always loved comics, and I have I can. I love comics to bits, may the comics never leave my side. I loved reading this and love reading more, you should also read what you love and hope always to love them. Even though I grew up reading local Indian comics like Raj Comics, Diamond Comics, or even Manoj Comics, now's the time to catch up on international and classic comics and Graphic novels. I am on my quest to read as many comics as I just want to Keep on Reading.

Oh. My. God. The Monarchs War Arc was amazing. And that ending to chapter 166. Holy mother of armies. Not everyone preparing for a catastrophic horde of monsters to come out of the biggest gate ever seen and it turning out to be the Shadow Monarch’s Army. That’s just peak writing and the art is phenomenal. It hasn’t been confirmed but it’s so obvious that it’s Jinwoo’s army. I love it!

Ah, I forgot the joys of pre-orders. Waking up and just finding a new book on the kindle waiting. I saw the paperback version in Waterstones at the weekend and was like whyyy don't I have it yet. Love half the cover, shame about the bad guy in the background. Jinwoo kicking ass and taking names. One shadow he did know the name for. Bye bye creepy older brother. The monarchs are finally making their move. Pretty sure I fan-girled at the puple portal in the sky. Gutted about the old guy, he was one of the best. Shit is getting real. Best bit was still the cute chibi Beru panel.

As the fight from volume 10 ends, new dangers happens. Presidenf Gunhee Go, the president of the Hunter’s Association of Korea, is not protected by this and stumbles upon his own fight. Will it be too late? ”You, at least, will die today.”
Oh my, the fighting scenes were just amazing, I’m obsessed. And the plot twists and character revelations and the surprises!!💥🌟 Last volume left until august when volume 13 comes out🌜
