Even after saving my kitten, Tabios, I can’t rest easy while Dean’s malicious fans are still lurking close by. Clinging tight with Jane and Nash, we stay hidden in Capital City to figure out our next move.
But the Tuxies are smarter than we thought.
Deciding she refuses to live in fear, Jane moves us back to her apartment. And there is the new neighbour Christoph, and instantly becomes suspicious but drawn to him. When a murder takes place in the building, secrets are revealed that change everything.
Who is the real mastermind behind this group of deranged fans? And is there any way to stop them?
J.S Ellis is a thriller author. She has a degree in creative writing, English literature, and digital marketing. She lives in Malta with her fiancé and their fur baby Eloise. When she’s not writing or reading, she’s either cooking, eating cheese and chocolate, or listening to good music and enjoying a glass of wine or two.
Thriller, page-turner, sweet, tragic, revelations and more There were times when I wished Jane spoke “cat” so she was aware of how much trouble she was in. She and Nash are trying to determine how someone they saw lying on the beach, dead could be walking around the streets. Bullet holes on Nash’s swanky car show that there is something afoot, but what and why? Without question, this book in the series is a sequel to the last book. As I read this one, I remembered some of the last book thankfully. There have been four books since “The Neighbour’s Cat” that have dealt with Dean who was the man who saved Theodore from certain death, but liked to kill women. Theodore saved Jane from that fate and has been her companion ever since. With each book the author has Jane accumulate new and more fascinating people in her circle; Nash being the latest. Together they are trying to resolve several issues with a bunch of Dean fanatics who are killing tuxedo cats like Theodore. To what end? Theodore for his part is trying to save his own family: Pippa, his partner and their offspring Suki and Tobias. Loved the latest aloof cat friend, “Nameless.” This book will have you on the edge of your seat at several times. Definitely a thrilling, moving, love story but not of your normal kind. There were sweet moments but also tragic ones. Of the five books, this was the only book where the syntax and malapropisms led me to believe that the author is not English speaking. (“His feet are probed on the table.”) I read the published version of this book although I volunteered to review an ARC of it through BookSirens. If you like intricate plotting and thrilling moments, please read this book/series.
If you have been reading the series Theodore: The Neighbour’s Cat by J.S. Ellis, then you definitely want to read the new installment entitled Theodore: The Cat That Knew Too Much! This book continues the story of Theo. It is book five and I think there is at least one more to wrap this story up.
This is a unique series as it is told through the eyes of Theo and his current owner Jane. He is a pretty smart cat and I like that they have thoughts and feelings just like we do for our families. Theo takes good care of his family. Human and Feline.
I think I like the chapters that are narrated by Theo the best. He sometimes has the inside scoop. He sees the whole picture a little more than Jane does. Theo gets around and if he doesn’t, there is a new cat in the family that is a street cat and she is certainly street wise.
This series is fun and quirky. We have a crime series really with people getting killed and people commiting crimes that aren’t very nice. Some parts of this book took me a minute to figure out. That’s just me! For someone who loves mysteries and crime, I never know who really did it until the end.
If you like something different, then you might want to look into The Neighbour’s Cat series. If you haven’t read any of them yet, now is a good time to pick them up. They are reasonably priced and you have time to binge read them before J.S. Ellis comes out with the final book. If you are like me and have been reading them for a while, you definitely need to read Theodore: The Cat That Knew Too Much. Stack them on your nightstand because they aren’t very long. Until next time…Happy Reading!

I received a complimentary copy of this book from the author. The opinions I have expressed are my own and I was not required to write a review. I am disclosing this in accordance with the Federal Trade Commission’s 16 CFR, Part 255.
Another interesting story about Theodore the cat and his mistress Jane. I love these stories. This is the fifth episode. It would pay to read them from book one, but the book can be read as a standalone. However, it is easier to understand the story if the books are read in order.
Someone is trying to take Theodore. Who? Why? Who are these depraved "Dean" fanatics? What do they want?
They call themselves the Tuxies after the markings on Theodore. They worship Dean and continue to kill. Their leader is pure evil, but who is it?
Can Jane protect Theodore from being kidnapped and used in their vile plot? She is still recovering from being stabbed.
I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
This was a 5 plus🌟 read. I didn't think there was anyone crueler or more vile than Dean,
but I was dead wrong. There were several evil people that were cruel enough to keep on killing even after they got what they wanted. Who would be so low and cruel to slaughter a defenseless cat--pure evil that's who!!!! I became very angry at Jane for her blindness and weakness. I don't think she deserves an hea, because she caused some of the problems. These stories keep me on the edge and take my breath away, yet I keep reading for the adrenaline rush and exhilaration I get. Until we meet again. I voluntarily read a free copy of this book provided by book sirens and am giving an honest opinion.
I loved the plot and how it developed, but the quality of the writing has gone WAY downhill compared to the previous books. Typos, run-on sentences, grammar errors, punctuation errors...one mispelled word or a missing comma doesn't bother me, but the entire book reads like a first or second draft. It doesn't look like it was proofread very well, and it grew increasingly distracting.
The ending seemed rushed and not well fleshed out. What happened to Pippa pisses me off.
This book would have been 4 or 5 stars if the writing quality was better. Unfortunately, it seems like this one was pushed out in a rush. I hope the next book is better.
Actually more of a 3.5 than 4 stars from me. The story was good but I felt I was missing major parts since I had not read all the previous books, I have read 1 other only. Plus the grammar was not very good. It was written as if someone translated verbatim from a different language in several places throughout the story. And in some places the story jumped quickly making me think I had skipped a page or two.
I loved Theo, he was a smart cat. Warning- there is some animal abuse.

Book 5 in the Theodore the cat series and it does not disappoint. Jane, Nash, Theodore, Pippa and their kittens are recovering from the latest incident involving the Tuxies group. They are at a rental house in hiding, as danger is still present. Jane decides to head back to her apartment and unfortunately another murder happens. Is her new neighbor Christoph behind it? Another fast paced thriller. Thank you to the author for this Advanced Reader Copy.
I loved this book and this series. This book picked up where the last one left off. Jane and Theodore r still being hunted. This book had plenty of drama, action and unfortunately lot of death as these crazy people will do anything to get what they want. There was a very sad part toward the end that I wasn’t prepared for and also a HEA. I really enjoyed this whole book and series. Who knew what went on in cats minds. I highly recommend this book and this series!
The Cat that Knew too Much, Theodore: The Neighbor's Cat: Book 5 by J S Ellis. WOW, book 5 is so emotional. A crazy group of Dean followers are after Jane and Theodore. I think that the author did a fabulous job of bringing all of the story to a conclusion. I found a lot of the story to be intense and very sad. But, the conclusion has hope and joy. I am looking forward to Theodore's next adventure. I received an arc for free and am leaving my review voluntarily.
While I have enjoyed books in this series in the past I had a hard time becoming engaged in this story. There were a few twists to the book but it just fell flat for me. It was difficult to envision different scenarios since there were multiple words missing making for a jarring and disjointed reading flow. I expected my experience to mirror what I felt when I read the other books and was definitely disappointed.
I received this book as an arc and voluntarily provided a review.
Theodore The Cat That Knew Too Much by J.S. Ellis this was the 5th book in the series, overall I found this to be an entertaining read. Although I feel like this could be read as a stand alone, I do feel like you would be able to understand the storyline if you read from the very beginning. I would recommend this book to others.
I received an ARC from BookSirens and I am leaving my review voluntarily.
This is a quick read but does hold your attention throughout. Sad moments, happy moments, murder and treachery. Who do you believe? Who can you trust? Could there be such an organization as a serial killer club? Jane, Nash and the cats navigate a narrow path to try to stay hidden from the kidnappers/killers but will they succeed? Received an ARC and this is my honest voluntary review.
It gets even more tense - the tuxies are determined to get Theodore at the expense of Jane and Nash and all the other cats and they really do not care who they hurt. I love how the story develops and I am kept on tender hooks all the way through. I cannot help but love Theodore and sympathize and empathize with him. Brilliant, brilliant read!
A very well-written book with wonderfully-interesting characters. Interesting plot that kept me thoroughly engaged throughout. Enjoyed every minute of it!
*I received a complimentary ARC of this book in order to read and provide a voluntary, unbiased and honest review, should I choose to do so.
There are lots of twists and turns in the story that keep you guessing until the end. Interesting characters that try to unravel the clues. Hard to put down as you get deeper and deeper into the mystery. Good read.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
If you haven't read this series then you definitely need to catch up. This is book five so hurry up and get to reading. This is about Theodore the cat and his humane sidekick Jane. Very well written and easy to read.
Theodore is back and still saving lives, both animal and human. I like the way the story is told from Theodore's point of view. You get insight into things the humans don't know. I would recommend it. I received an advance copy of this book via Book Sirens and I am voluntarily leaving my review.
This book continues the story of Theo. This is a unique series. I like the chapters that are narrated by Theo the best, though I enjoy Jane's pov too. J.S.Ellis is a master at creating intense psychological thrillers.
*edited* I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily. Thank you BookSirens. I always get excited when a new Theodore book is released. This series is truly a breath of fresh air in a genre such as this. I will forever suggest this series to any fans of thrillers, mystery, strong-female characters and cats. I am already excited for the next one even though this one isn't out yet.
I was given a free ARC of this book. My review is strictly voluntary. I was surprised that Jane moved Theo and his family to her apartment after everything that happened. I understood she didn't want to live in fear anymore, but it wasn't just her that was affected by this decision. I was beginning to think Jane had finally found a nice guy, even though she was suspicious of him. But the ending really surprised me! Great job J.S.!
Theodore the cat has become one of my favorite series. The stories are told from Theodore and his owner, Jane’s point of view. Book 5 is an exciting, menacing, and
thrilling mystery. Jane and Theodore are both in a perilous situation. People are after Theodore.
Jane has lost her husband, she has survived attempted murder and been around death. Jane doesn't know who she can trust and she finds herself in life threatening situations.
J.S.Ellis is a master at creating intense psychological thrillers.
