Flourish: Daily Deviations for Teen Girls.

📖📖📖📖

I went into this with slight trepidation because I have never liked doing devotions like this because I didn't want to get deceived by bad teaching. But this was actually quite good! Some things that were connected to the daily verse seemed slightly odd, but I could see where the author of that day was coming from. Sometimes they seemed slightly week and watered down, but they still spoke truth from what I could tell.

I only got 30 days done (It's 365 days in total) but most of the days were 4-5 stars (Yes, I rated each day.) The rest were 3-3.5 and one 2 stars.

This is a really good tool, especially for those who are struggling to read the Bible each day. Though I didn't like the fact that all the verses were in a different version. (I didn't read the other versions as I always use KJV) To me it seems like it could be confusing for a first time/early reader as they are wondering why all the verses sound different.

I couldn't see the cover or design of the book very well, but from what I could see it was very beautiful. Something that is always nice to have!

(Note: I lowered the rating a bit because one of them seemed Calvinistic to me, and also I don't know what the other days say so I can't fully support it yet. But later on when I have finished this in about a year... I might change the rating back up.)

The colorful and beauiful cover for this devotional caught my eye right away! It's so appealing on the outside, which is so important to the demographic for whom this book was made.

For each day, there is a verse an explanation of the verse's significance and/or a message relating to the verse, and a prayer. Brief enough for girls to stay engaged but meaningful enough to make it worth it. Planning to get one for my daughter and a few to keep on hand as gifts.

Thank you so much to NetGalley and Barbour for the advance copy!

Great devotional for teen girls! I enjoyed the scriptures and the prayers. It really did help me and inspire me to spend more time in God's word! I really liked the way that the devotional was organized and set up because it was straight to the point and I appreciated that.

Thank you to Netgalley for giving me a digital copy to review.

This is an amazing daily devotional for teens and even young adults. First, it’s extremely eye catching with the beautiful cover and art details throughout. On looks alone it would make a great gift. But beauty is more than skin deep with this devotional. Each day it has a Bible verse and then a breakdown of the meaning of that verse, followed by a prayer. I love that this is written in modern terms and uses current terminology and examples that younger people can understand and relate to. I will definitely be buying one of these for each of my nieces.
