I'm the last surviving member of my pack, and I'm running for my life.
As the future pack leader of the Silver Wolves, my life was carefully planned: stay hidden, and learn to fight. In an instant, everything changes.
My pack was slaughtered by an unknown enemy. Alone and unsure who to trust, I search for safety.
Now, there's a pack leader who offers me something that no one else can--protection.
He’s sexy, an absolute jerk, and my fated mate.
The more I try to fight our bond, the more fate pushes us together. But the price may be too much for both of us.
I’m being hunted, and the choices I'm forced to make could destroy me.
*Please Note*
Welcome to Shadow City, where each trilogy focuses on a different pair of fated mates. By the end of every trilogy, each couple will have their happy ever after.
Shadow City: Silver Wolf Broken Mate Rising Darkness Silver Moon
Reading has always been one of my favorite hobbies, even as a little girl. When I was a toddler, my parents would read stories to me over and over. I would hear them so often that I had the books memorized and could recite the story word by word.
My favorite genres are fantasy, paranormal, and contemporary romance. So of course that's what I'm inclined to write.
I have a husband, two young daughters, and a mini Australian Shepherd. I've lived in Tennessee the majority of my life and love the state.
I'm extremely addicted to caffeine and enjoy drinking coffee and lattes. I am so pleased that you stopped by my page! Please feel free to follow or contact me at the following pages -
This book gets off to a very dramatic start, packs lots of action, a bit of heartache and before I knew it, I was hooked.
This is a fast-paced, small town, fake relationship, shifter read. It’s action-packed and by the time it ended, I’d realized that I not only need to binge this entire series, but possibly the author’s entire catalog. The writing is decent, the characters are well-developed with their own personalities and the book is dramatic and incredibly fun.
🐾 Fated mates. 🗡️ Female lead on the lamb. 🐾 Lots of different types of supernaturals. 🗡️ Small town. 🐾 Shifters … and shifter fights. :) 🗡️ V!rgin heroine. 🐾 Mystery. 🗡️ Danger, lies, confusion. 🐾 Major corruption. 🗡️ Found family.
Audio: The overall production is smooth and packs good sound quality—I’m not sure why the narrators sounded sort of ‘chipmunky’, but it was okay. Both did a great job performing the book. I suspect some sort of effect or something might’ve been used since both sounded this way (yes, I did listen on varying speeds—this never changed.)
4 stars on this front.
Rising Darkness (Shadow City: Silver Wolf #2)
I became an obsessed fan of this series at some point during book 1—book 2 only served to hook me more as the stakes are even higher now and there’s a literal civil or race war brewing.
This installment is on-par with book 1 as far as action, drama, betrayal, mystery and overall chaos, so it was an extremely quick read that I could not put down.
4.5 stars. ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️
I strongly recommend having the entire series on hand, so you can binge these.
Graphic Audio: Overall, this was a fun listen—I always appreciate a full cast. The sound effects, mostly were good, though in a few instances they could be pretty cheesy. Things they did well: traffic sounds, weather, especially rain ,nature sounds, like walking through woods, etc., fight /action scenes sounds, characters talking over one another or in the background.
🎧4 stars on this front. 🎧
*Note: There were no surprises in this read—I found it all very predictable. However it's still incredibly fun to see it all play out, and no less exciting.
Silver Moon (Shadow City: Silver Wolf #3)
Thankfully, this picks up right where book 2 left off so you’re thrown right into the action. (Again: I strongly recommend reading this series in order.) This installment is completely action-packed and also heavy on the corruption/ /lies / deceit / betrayals and as a result there’s lots of alliance formation and pack politics as well.
Strap in and pay attention, because if you blink, you could miss something important. It was so much fun, that I listened to it twice. Highly recommend and will read on in this world.
The author has brilliantly designed every aspect, which makes for juicy political drama and high-level corruption.
All in all this is a pretty good shifter series. The mystery of the Silver Wolves was intriguing! There is a freshness to it that I hadn’t come across in other series. The backstory of their history and what made them different from other wolf shifters made me want to read more. It didn’t take three books to tell this story, lol. I ended up skipping the sex and quite a bit of Sterlyn’s inner chatter. She repeated the same things during every battle or encounter with an enemy. It’s clearly understood that Sterlyn was trained intensely to be a warrior and she’s a very dominant alpha. However, she repeated it to herself so much that I got annoyed by it. At times, I felt as if the author made the characters’ mannerisms seem “too human”. Shifters don’t care about nudity in other books, but in this one, no one was comfortable with shifting in front of others. It felt odd that none of the young alpha males wanted to lead their people. I understand the grieving the loss of their families, but not the idea of them running off to college and living in homes away from the shifter city where they held council positions. I’m all for a strong female lead, but I don’t want the men to be simps. I’m not sure where the next issue will arise for this Motley Crue of shifters. They’re like Scooby-Doo and his crew of mystery solvers, lol.

I READ THIS SERIES BACK IN 2023
After stumbling across the broken mate (1st book) in my Kindle store, I was hooked!
I absolutely fell in love with the storyline and all the main characters, so of course, I downloaded the other 2 books of the Silver Mate series, immediately 👌
5/5 ⭐️ is my rating. I loved these books, so much so that upon completion, I went straight to my Kindle store and purchased the rest of the Shadow City Collection. I only wish I could find the collection in paperback as these are books I'd reread and love to see on my bookshelves.
Needless to say, if you like to escape to a supernatural world that has a strong female lead and dominate, protective males, with battles, mysteries, and friendship, then I highly recommend these books 📚 🙌🏻 ❤️
Broken Mate #1: 5 stars A pack slaughtered and the only remaining survivor hunted to use as a breeder. Friendships and fated mates, more losses. Strategic alliances, and unknown enemies. This story is loaded with action, chemistry, and likable characters. Ends on a cliff hanger..
Rising Darkness #2: 5 stars Attacks, kidnappings, alliances. Who to trust? A journal, secrets revealed. And a lost brother? Very good series, with lots of action.
Silver Moon #3: 5 stars - Very good series! This series kept me engaged and I didn’t want to put it down. Loved the characters, especially Sterlyn. While many of the problems were ultimately resolved, more remain. This concludes the Silver wolf segment of the Shadow City series, but other segments follow. —PTators
I loved the plot of this series but it could've been two books only. There were a lot of areas where she repeated things that the reader would already know since this is a series. Each book would explain things like it was the first time we were seeing it. There were also some parts that were just drawn out for no real reason, it seemed, other than to make the book longer.
The sex scenes were a little lacking in my eyes also. They didn't bring anything to the story for me. I skipped them all to continue on with the story. I didn't feel any attachment to these characters like I normally do with some books, until closer to the last battle in the end. I did want to see the resolution so I kept reading. I'm curious if things have gotten better or not so I'll move on to the next Shadow City series.
I really enjoyed this series. I couldn't put it down. Lots of action. I loved Steryln's character. She is such a strong, fierce, caring silver wolf. And beautiful with silver hair. So cool. Steryln has been training all her life to take over for her dad who is the alpha of the only silver wolves in existence. Her pack was great and so strong. Strongest on full moons and weakest on new moons. Silver wolf shifters are the strongest of the shifters. The trouble is someone is after her to capture and breed. Even if she breeds with a regular wolf shifter the pup will still be pure silver wolf. She meets some friends along the way who help her. I will be starting the next pair of books in this series. I can't wait, it centers around Alex, prince of vampires. Great job Jen!
I like this series overall. However, every chapter pretty much covers everything that has happened. It's like the author seriously believes that people can't remember what happened a chapter ago. This could have been shortened to probably half of what it is if it didn't go over the same details in literally every chapter!! I scrolled through so much but still didn't miss anything, lol. I'm dreading reading the rest. But I like the book and want to read the others that are connected. Just in case anyone missed it, a silver wolf, they've been hidden, they were protectors, he's her mate, they're marked...
I got the complete series and am so glad that I did! This series is amazing! Total page turner. I could not put it down and when I was forced to go to bed and stop reading, I couldn’t wait to pick it up again. Filled with intense drama and adventure. Fated and bonded mates, Angels, shifter wolves, vampires and supernatural abilities. This series has everything you could want in a story. You won’t be disappointed. The characters are well developed and the plot has its twists and turns. One great thing about this complete series is that you wont be left on a cliff hanger because you have the next book already there! Go grab this book now!!
I’ve seen so many good reviews about this series I had to dive into it and it did not disappoint!!! Really great story with turmoil, surprises and laughter! Characters with quick wit and a blunt attitude will actually have you laughing and thinking I can’t believe they just said that … definitely recommend this whole series and so now there’s a3 book series that continues with a character from this book involving another main character so I’m off to go buy this next series while I’m still involved with the story in my head as I have to find out MORE!!!
I am so invested in Shadow City now! I love Sterlyn and Griffin…. Especially how they came together along with Killian’s relationship with her!! The humor within these characters and friends makes me “LOL” so many times reading throughout these books, it literally makes me think of our own friend group! The world development and character personalities are GREAT! I am now reading the vampire series to find out answers for Griffin and Sterlyn…. I want to know everything!!!
Wow! This world is unreal. I want to live in it. I’m so glad it comes with the advanced telling of an HEA. You can relax and know that everything will work out. But read on because if you thought this was action packed the Vampire ones sounds like it’s not gonna be a slow game either. Highly recommend the box set. Just kick back, relax and follow Sterlyn, Killian and Griffin through their trials and tribulations and apparently that’s not the end of them either. We’ll be seeing more of the silver wolves. So I’m starting the Vampire world one now.
I really enjoyed reading about Sterlyn and the silver wolves. What madness begins in the very few first pages. The entire pack wiped out in mere minutes. The only exception is Sterlyn, who manages to outrun those trying to capture her and escape into the river. What follows is an awesome story of faith, love, betrayal, loss and family found. I highly recommend this book!
This Is Such A Fantastic Series!👏😍⭐️ (Read Using Kindle Unlimited) Shadow City: Silver Wolf (The Complete Series) Audiobook 🎧 Narrated by: Heather Costa
I actually read each book in the trilogy individually, via Kindle Unlimited and Audiobook.📖🎧 They were amazing.
The excitement, tension, romance, and friendships are fantastic. However, the arc throughout, the threat to Sterlyn and her pack, was both gripping and horrifying!🥺
I had high hopes for this box set but was left wanting. The FMC was harass but was a little too full of herself for my liking. she was too self absorbed and it was all about her and her dominance and never letting a man walk all over her... all.the.time. It got a bit much for me. Also the MMC was a douche at the start but folded so quickly into a pliant softie, and not in a good way, he just caved in everything and again... It was a bit much.
I just couldn’t get over the way this series feels like a watered down version of the Zodiac Wolves series that’s also on kindle unlimited.. there are so many similarities and considering that series was published a year prior to this one it kinda rubbed me the wrong way.. it was still an entertaining version of events tho so 3 stars seemed fair.
I love this series. Couldn't put this down. Once I read these I went into the next set. Now on the third set.Love turns to hate and hard turns to love throughout the entire series. Loved the critical banter between the main characters. World's come together paranormal, human, and demons. Definite surprises during the entire story.
There was good bones to this story but overall the writing was incredibly repetitive with the same explanations over and over again. I liked the main characters and the side characters but the romance was very rushed and didn’t feel earned. The battle scenes went on and on and I found them to be boring.
I love when authors clump their books together and this one was no different. Jen is one of my favorite writers, her stories flow seamlessly. Highly recommend!
I have read several series so far and I have enjoyed every single one of them! I read til late at night. When I get chores done, I read. I let my husband hog the tv so I can read them!
Lots of repetitive statements, get total introductions for characters in previous books and then next book we get them again..must be write for those who have memory problems
First dip into the fantasy land was with Jen L. Greys books. They’re amazing! 1/5 for spicyness but the storyline didn’t need it. I was enfactuafed by the supernatural world.
