From the moment Noah and Dorian meet you can see the palpable attraction and harmony they have.
Yet, the book takes you through patient phases until they get together and come to realise their real emotions.
3.5 ⭐

I enjoyed how the thriller plot rolls with the romance plot, and that neither overshadows the other at any time.
John's presence keeps you asking questions and wondering about his intentions and plans.

However, I do believe that the writing succeeds better in the romance plot compared with the thriller plot.

You get sneak peaks of probably all the Mcs to come in the series, and you come to care for all of them.

Dorian is such a golden retriever at heart. Him and Noah are pieces of the same puzzle, and Gracie is the glue that could make them stick together even better and more.

I am always happy to travel back to Woodstone Falls to read about some of my favorite people, and Undone by Anna Jerr is no exception.

Noah is a woman scarred by betrayal—so much so that the FBI is involved (👀). Meanwhile, Dorian is a man haunted by the losses of the important women in his life, leaving him terrified to let anyone else get close. Their journey from friendship to true love is beautifully written, full of heartache, healing, and hope.

Jerr has an incredible talent for crafting vivid, emotional stories that pull you in from the very first page. Her ability to seamlessly blend heart-pounding suspense with swoon-worthy romance is nothing short of flawless. And the ending? Absolutely mind-blowing. I had to sit in silence just to process it all.

If you’re looking for a book that’ll keep you hooked while tugging on your heartstrings, this is it! Undone is a must-read for romantic suspense lovers.

4/5⭐

I'm a big fan of small-town romantic suspense, and this book hit the spot for me! I loved the chemistry between Noah and Dorian. They both have their walls up and aren't quite ready for a serious relationship, which makes their journey all the more interesting. The suspense had me on the edge of my seat the whole time!

Noah is looking for a fresh start after losing her job and being betrayed by her boyfriend. She goes to her best friend's hometown, Woodstone Falls, where she meets Dorian, her best friend's older brother whom she met a few months back. They keep in touch and become good friends, but once Noah moves to Woodstone Falls, it’s clear that their connection is deeper than friendship.

Dorian is a veterinarian and a single dad to an adorable six-year-old named Gracie. He’s always been cautious about letting anyone into his life—except for Gracie and his family—until Noah comes along. At first, they try to deny their feelings, aiming for a casual relationship, but you can feel the sparks flying between them! I adored Dorian’s protective nature towards both Noah and Gracie. He goes above and beyond to keep them safe and happy. The bond that Noah develops with Gracie is so heartwarming, and it’s wonderful to see how much Gracie adores Noah.

The suspense was so well done, keeping me engaged until the end. The found family aspect of the story was lovely! I enjoyed the playful banter among the siblings and how welcoming they were towards Noah from the start. This book perfectly blends spice, suspense, and heartfelt emotion. Watching the main characters grow closer and find comfort in each other made it a delightful read!

Grumpy , single dad, with a dirty mouth? Yesss, Dorian was everything! I was obsessed with these characters. Noah had the best personality & Gracie absolutely stole my heart 😍. This book was the perfect combination of spice, suspense, and emotion. It had me in tears at times and laughing through others! A raw, heartfelt story of growth & overcoming your past, while finding what your heart truly needed. I’m a sucker for a small town romantic suspense and loved this one so much! ❤️🥹

Best friend’s brother x single dad x her ex is a serial unaliver

This book!! I love romantic suspense but I’ve never read one where we knew who the bad guy was the entire time. The waiting game to see what he would do next, how it connected to her and what his end game was, it made this book SO easy to read.

Beyond the suspense aspect, the romance is so sweet and so natural. Casually seeing each other? Yeah okay, casual isn’t in their vocabulary.

Read this when you’re in the mood for…
- romantic suspense
- best friend’s brother
- single dad
- it’s just “casual”

So good and so excited for the next book in the series!

I knew Zaddy Dorian was going to be a hit but he exceeded my expectations

I tell ya when I first figured out that Dorian and Noah’s book was following Dottie and Trent’s I knew it would be a hit just like Unbearable was but it surpassed even my expectations.

From the first official meeting with Dorian and Noah the banter, the chilling and watching reality tv and the grey sweats I was hooked. Dorian and Noah both had a lot to risk in this book but even more to gain and the journey to get there was beautiful.

Also the way in which Gracie played with my hearts strings…Excuse me Ma’am!

I will also say …Good Girl was utilized very well in this book you got Zaddy Dorian!

Doesn’t matter to me which book comes next Sawyer’s or Colt’s I’m sure they’ll be 5⭐️ reads too and I can’t wait to devour them!

Overall this book was a solid 5⭐️ and I’m giving Zaddy Dorian a solid 3🌶️ with an extra 🥵 just cause that scene outside the bar, when you know you know!

Solid. Noah and Dorian spent most of the book dancing around their feelings for each other. Their insistence at keeping things “casual” when they were obviously anything but got a bit annoying but overall I liked their story.

The handing of her ex was odd. He was an on the tun serial killer who was leaving clues on his victims that clearly tied back to Noah but there was no real security around her. The police only questioned her twice. I didn’t understand why there was more of an uproar and overprotectiveness when Dotty from book one had a stalker as opposed to Noah having a murderer after her.

Overall I like this series and will pick up the next book. Although the fact it looks like an obvious Taylor Swift/Travis Kelce fanfic gives me pause I’ll still check it out.

This book was an absolute RIDE from start to finish, and I had a heck of a good time! It’s not often that a sweet small-town romance delivers so much suspense and dark undertones so beautifully.

Our FMC, Noah, is such a complex character, navigating a difficult family dynamic, obvious relationship issues, figuring out where she fits in the world, and dealing with some very big personal struggles. Enter Dorian, her best friend’s brother, a super-hot single dad and the local veterinarian. Together, they’re forced to unravel a huge mystery while trying to figure out how they fit together, despite everything pulling them apart.

And when the spice hits… 😮‍💨😮‍💨

Let me just start by saying—this book had me hooked from the very first chapter. I was so thrilled to go back to Woodstone Falls.
This book has the perfect mix of small-town charm, heart-wrenching romance, and suspense that keeps you flipping pages. I devoured this in one sitting.

Anna Jerr absolutely nailed the emotional depth of this story. The single dad trope? One of my favorites, and she wrote it beautifully. Dorian’s struggles and love for his child felt so real. And don’t even get me started on the best friend’s brother aspect—it added just the right amount of tension. You can’t help but root for these characters to get their happy ending. I even found myself rooting for Gracie’s happy ending 🥹

What really stood out to me, though, was the suspense element woven into the romance. It wasn’t just a love story; it had twists involving Noah’s serial unaliver ex-boyfriend that the FBI was trying to hunt down. I love when a book gives me all the swoony moments and a dose of adrenaline. The small-town setting made it even better—there’s something about a close-knit family and community that adds depth and warmth to a story like this.

This was so good!

The story follows FMC, Noah, who makes the decision to move to Woodstone Falls wanting a fresh start, but her past catches up to her. The MMC, Dorian is a single dad and…. he’s also her best friend’s brother! The tension?? The “forbidden”(ish) vibes?? obsessed.

I will say it was a little slow going in at first, but the slow burn was so worth the wait. The build up made everything hit so much harder, making me feel like the romance was more authentic. The suspense in the last 15-20% was incredible. I was on the edge of my seat flipping the pages so fast like my life depended on it.

Gracie, Dorian’s daughter is the sweetest little girl. She stole my heart and I really loved how she helped bring the two main characters together without making it feel forced.

This had the perfect amount of suspense and romance and even a small bit of spice! I also think the author does a great job setting up the next story for this series. I cannot wait for book 3 already!

Although this isn’t a genre I would normally choose to read.. I’m wondering now, do i need to spiral into some more romantic suspense books??? Let me know if you have any good recs for that!

Some of my favorite quotes and thoughts from the book:

"God, I want to, Noah. It'd be the easiest thing in the world. When you enter a room, feel it before I even see you. My body knows you're there before my mind can catch up. It's like my soul recognizes yours, like we've been tethered in a way I can't even begin to under-stand. It's immediate. It's desperate. Every inch of space between us feels like universes, and I'd tear through every last one just to find you Even if all I could do was watch from a distance even if it meant I couldn't have you-could never touch you—l'd still find you

"I need you in every way, in every part of my soul. I love you, Noah. I love you in a way I never thought I could. You're not just a part of my life
-you're the one I was meant to find, the one was meant to hold onto. There's no world, no universe, where I don't choose you."

"You told me you'd find me in every universe, even if it meant standing back and watching But I wouldn't. I'd spend every lifetime search ing for you, in every world, in every moment, but I would never stand by and watch. We were never meant to stand at the edges of each other's lives, Dorian. We were always meant to find each other."

Fuck. Now is not the time to pop a boner in
front of Mr. Pickles. 😂

Undone is book 2 in the Woodstone Falls series, it can be read as a standalone, but I highly recommend reading book 1 first, it's so good! Anna comes back with a vengeance in this one, it was AMAZING. The amount of suspense in this one was high. The romance was fire, the chemistry palpable, the emotions in this book took me on a roller coaster ride, the small town vibes and the found family were stellar. Truly this book just had it all for me. I never felt like the romance or the suspense overshadowed one another, which was great. We know who the culprit is early on, so there's no major twist or turn, but it still kept me on the edge of my seat. Why and when would the culprit strike ?

Noah & Dorian are just an explosion waiting to happen. Yes the spice was hot, but the emotional depth that Jerr gave to her characters just added that extra layer to make me fall even more in love with them. The way their relationship evolved, how they both became vulnerable and both became each other's safe place was absolutely beautiful. Gracie stole my heart entirely, she is the sweetest little girl that just wants to have her own family with a mommy. Some moments between her and Noah absolutely shattered my heart. They were so beautiful.

Overall, this was another beautiful installment to this fantastic series. I am absolutely smitten with Jerr, her writing and her stories. I can't wait to go back to Woodstone Falls!

✨️Thank you to @annajerr for my gifted ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Ok first let me just say Dorian 👏🏻 James 👏🏻 can do no wrong! Is there anything better than a grumpy MMC with a filthy mouth!? This story is about Noah and Dorian who have endured betrayal and heartbreak but find a way to overcome that together. There was suspense, and some very real and raw moments that absolutely tug at your heart! Let’s talk about the spice…because chef’s kiss! Can’t wait to see what the next book has in store for us!! 😍

DORIAN, the man that you are. I had been eagerly anticipating his story after meeting his character in Unbearable. Who isn’t a sucker for a caring, grumpy, single dad with a dirty mouth 🤭. I really enjoyed the interactions between him and Noah. I also really loved reading all the parts with little Gracie ( get tissues though because one scene had me balling my eyes out). Anna wrote Gracie with such a wonderful big personality. I forgot just how much I loved having the perspective of a younger character in a storyline. This book reminded me of how much I love it . I absolutely can not wait for the next book!

Great writing, as always! Trent and Dotty will forever be my favorite, but Dorian and Noah's story did not disappoint. Gracie is seriously the cutest, and I hope to see her grow up in the following 2 Woodstone Falls books! I feel like some of the POV changes between chapters felt a little clunky and didn't flow seamlessly, but that is a pretty minor complaint.

3.5 star rating, thanks to Anna Jerr for an advanced copy for my honest review

This book was everything! I was so excited for Dorian and Noah's book from the small glimpse we saw in book one. Dorian is a single dad who has closed himself off from love until he meets Noah, his sisters best friend. From the very beginning, this book takes off and I had a hard time putting it down. Not only is this a small town romance but there are also suspenseful undertones that really grip the reader. I was on the edge of my seat and enjoyed every moment! I loved both Dorian and Noah individually and as a couple. I highly recommended this book and this series!

I am loving this series!! Anna did a great job writing this!! This is the second book in the Woodstone Falls series. I was hooked from chapter one. The character development, the storyline of needing to know what was going to happen next kept me turning the pages!!

This is the story of Dorian, a single dad and Noah a grade school teacher and the a the best friend of Dorian’s sister. Both Dorian and Noah have been through some trauma in their lives. Dorian lost his mother at a young age, his daughters mother died in childbirth and dealt with his sister being kidnapped (read book 1 Unbearable to find out about that story) to face his feelings he was developing for his sisters very best friend all the while Noah finding out that her boyfriend/ex boyfriend is a serial killer.

To see these two’s relationship develop and defy all the obstacles that have placed in their path and come out on top and in love is a great story!!

Ugh Anna did SO GOOD with this one! She is truly keeping us fed with the Woodstone Falls series. I am in love with the James family and the little town they live in. I am actually feral for the next books because I can’t get enough of this wonderful world and the characters in them!!

This book has the single dad trope and I LOVED how Anna did it! Gracie is the sweetest girl and brought so much humor and connection that made it so heartwarming. And Dorian and Noah were so perfect together and their chemistry was effortless!

And the suspense aspect with this one was really interesting! I was spooked for sure during it and I thought it was executed well!!!

This book also had so many good quotes, I felt like I was constantly highlighting on my kindle! She really found the words to describe so many complicated and impactful emotions and it was beautiful.

Also the spice was SPICING in this one!!! 🌶️

How how how! This book had me wanting to not put it down for a second. This book had so much happening, the good the bad, the everything. I think it will take a few days for me to fully process everything that happened in this book. I now have to wait patiently for the next book. These characters are the kind you can see yourself being friends with in real life. The way they are written is just fantastic. Gracie is hands down the star of this series and I can’t wait to watch her keep growing in the next book.

Anna does it again!

We meet Dorian and Noah in her debut Unbearable.
Dorian is a widow of sorts with a precious daughter and Noah is best friends with Dorian’s sister.

And Dorian and Noah embark on a wild romance, oh and there’s a killer that Noah used to date. WILD RIDE.

Anna makes her characters SOOOO easy to love and the plot is so good. I’m such a fan of this series and I cannot wait for the next one! This was my first small town romance series and the first book was chefs kiss and this is no different baby.

I loved Dorian and Noah but I love little Gracie even more. The times when she had no filter and the time when her heart was hurting. The bond between Noah and Gracie was so sweet. This was a fabulous read and I can’t wait for Colt and Sawyer’s books.

This story was spicy, suspenseful, the twists and turns were giving, everything about this was SO GOOD!
Some tropes:
Best friends brother
Small town romance
Found family
Single dad
You get to meet the love story of a school teacher and a single dad. Noah and Dorian have their own background and trauma that drives them to make the decisions they make. Should they love again? Should they just keep to themselves to avoid the hurt they each faced prior?
All these questions will be answered in this wild romance suspense story. Noah’s crazy ex-boyfriend will drive you INSANE with this compelling story. You will fall in love with every single character (except one iykyk) and the happy ending will just be chefs kiss.

Thank you Anna for this ARC and the honor of reading this story. It truly was such a beautiful piece and I am so excited to continue reading the Woodstone Falls series!!
