Flight of the Raven is the emotionally charged conclusion to The Eldrystone Trilogy, delivering everything I hoped for! Ingrid Seymour ties together intricate plotlines, compelling character arcs, and high-stakes action in a finale that left me absolutely wrecked, in the best way possible.
The story thrusts us back into the chaos as Valeria and Korben cross the Veil into a world that no longer resembles the home Korben once knew. The magic is fading, the throne is occupied by a false queen, and the fate of Tirnanog, and their own survival, hangs in the balance. The tension never lets up, with pulse-pounding action sequences, shocking twists, and moments of raw emotion that kept me on edge.
Valeria’s growth throughout the series is phenomenal. She steps fully into her power here, proving time and again that she is not the same girl who first embarked on this journey. She’s fierce, determined, and heartbreakingly human. And Korben's transformation floored me. He’s no longer the enigmatic, brooding warrior from book one—he’s a man who has been broken, rebuilt, and willing to fight for more than just vengeance. The evolution of their relationship is beautifully handled, full of fiery chemistry, trust, and the weight of everything they’ve endured together.
Beyond the romance, the found-family dynamic in this book shines. Jago remains a standout, his unwavering loyalty and love for Valeria making him one of my favorite side characters. The world-building is stunning, painting Tirnanog in rich, immersive detail while weaving in its Spanish influences in a way that feels fresh and unique. The stakes are impossibly high, and just when you think you know what’s coming, Seymour delivers gut-wrenching surprises that hit like a punch to the chest.
And the ending was absolutely unforgettable. It left me in pieces, but it was the perfect, bittersweet conclusion to a trilogy that has cemented itself as one of my all-time favorites.
