Absolutely amazing conclusion to this duet! I adore Jaxon, Logan, and Rya and am a little sad their story is done. Rya goes through the absolute ringer but still manages to stand tall. Logan is just such a beautiful character through and through. All of these characters tugged on my heart and I loved watching their growth throughout the story. Jaxon, however, made the biggest impression on me with his growth. Being able to not only see that he was in the wrong but also be able to admit and grow from it was such a tremendous read. The spice through their story is singe your fingertips hot. Ice water is highly recommended when reading. Their story grabbed me and did not let me out of it’s hold until it was done. The pacing of the story was perfect for me and the tension (both between the characters and the suspense) had me perched on the side of my chair turning the pages as fast as I could. While I am sad their story is done, the ending is perfection. This story is one I know I will reread again to revisit these three.

Loved this duet. Jaxon and Logan were perfect, and I adored their relationship. And, they were so protective of Rya. This book was another fabulous read from this author.

2.5 ⭐️ Ugh. I struggled through the first book and was hoping the second would be better. It really wasn’t. The dynamic was so off the whole time. Rya is incredibly annoying, immature, and somehow also boring at the same time. The duet would have been better without her entirely. The story between Logan and Jaxson was much stronger.

Thank you for the ARC, Leila!

“If you’re lost … let me show you the way home.”

This is Love is the conclusion of the Evermore University All’s Fair duet. Rya, Jaxson and Logan’s story of not only finding yourself but finding your people. Of growth. Compassion. Forgiveness. Lust and love. Add in some suspense to complete the package.

A must read if you like MMF. We definitely have forbidden, as Jaxson and Logan are step brothers. And boy is it hot. They are also enemies which only increases the heat. Plus bi-awakening. Rya is central to their unification. Their connection to her forces them to spend time together, leading to new perspectives and a heartwarming, healing journey.

“What started out as a distraction has become something that threatens to change every single fucking thing I knew about myself. I’m on the verge of destruction at the hands of the one person I’d never want to give that pleasure.”

“From the start, I’ve known that they both give me things I need. They see me. But against all odds, they’ve found something they need in each other, too. It makes my heart so fucking happy.”

I was eagerly awaiting this book after that cliffy in part one, and man this did not disappoint! There's so much here that happened between Rya, Jax and Logan, and there's also so much growth too, which was very well needed. And not just for Jax (which was amazing) but with Rya too. I wanted to shake that girl sometimes and get her to see what she was doing to them all, yet I understood why she would react the way she did. I love how once they finally lower all their walls, admit to hidden truths and even bigger betrayals, they were truly unbreakable. Jax and Logan finally discussed what went wrong in the past and saw what was keeping them apart, and having that relationship flourish helped their individual relationships with Rya. Plus the suspense was SO well done!

This was just a great read for fans of this author, and I can't wait to see what she comes up with next!

**I received an ARC of this book and these are my honest opinions **

This was an exceptional conclusion to this duet.

I fell more and more with the characters both individually and together. Watching as the story unfolded and seeing all of the mystery aspects get revealed was thrilling. I loved seeing when I was right. It made me even more excited.

This author has a way with words and always manages to excite me with her stories. I cannot wait to see what she brings us next, I just know it's gonna be amazing.

If you're into MMF and angst, this duet is for you. It is scorching, angsty, has mystery elements, and the character development is on point.

🖤🩷This Is Love🩷🖤
Evermore University #2
All Is Fair Duet

By Leila James

🩷 College Romance
🖤 Sports Romance
🩷 Stepbrother Romance
🖤 Best Friends to Lovers

⭐ 5/5

Rya a good friend, caring and in love with two boys
Logan is a sweetheart, caring and understanding
Jaxon anger and being torn is what he must loose

Logan’s thought: I don’t understand how we got here. But I’m so fucking glad we did.

Quote: Rya:”With the two of you, I have more than I dreamed was possible … I have everything.”

So beautifully brought to a full circle

A beautiful, emotional written romance. Finally we get the conclusion to the angsty love triangle that surrounds Rya, Logan and Jaxon.
Rya, who is confused by all the overwhelming things she is feeling for not only one but two guys.
Logan, a wonderful, caring and understanding sweetheart, who always seems to know what to say and how to act. Knows Rya better than she does herself and even gets JAxon, who always only had hate for him.
Jaxon, first, driven by anger and rage which slowly turns into confusion and awakening feelings and desires.
This second part of a duet begins where it ended. After finding a consciousness Rya, helping her and being there for her, the scare brings Logan and Jaxon closer. And between them working out what it all could be about, Rya discovers their secret.
But bad and mysterious things continue to happen to Rya, but on the other side her relationship with Jaxon and Logan develops after a thoughtful conversation.
But the guys can no longer deny their enormous attraction to each other as well.
And slowly getting over their differences. And while trying to enable their mess, Rya discovers that not everyone is who they pretend to be.
While finding footing in their new now and being unsure how to handle that, those three have to go through all the other things in their lives. And at the same time family affairs become untangled and are being rightend. And the whole mysterious thing around Rya comes fully to the light. A twisted mind wanting to destroy friendships, relationships and the future in Rya’s life.
While I really liked the development Jaxon made in this book, wonderfully created by the way, Logan has fully molded in my heart. His personality is like no other. So thoughtful, caring, calm and always emotionally, he might be my all time favorite. Rya, voicing her wants and needs and bringing them all together, was the fitting piece in this triangle. Sad that their story is over, but glad it was in such a wonderful way.

This is love is the second book in the Evermore University of All's Fair Duet.

A little recap on the first book. Jaxon and Logan are step brothers who despise one another. Rya is Logan's best friend and they all attend Evermore University. There is animosity between Logan and Jaxon and Rya is stuck in the middle. Her feelings for Jaxon are growing while they have always been there for Logan. But she doesn't want to loose him as a friend. Possible love triangle in the works? Each character has their strengths and weaknesses and we get to experience all the emotions with them. Jaxon plans to use Rya to his advantage to get back at Logan for everything him and his mother have put him through. But will his feelings for Logan overpower what his end game is? You must read the first book before you read This is Love. This is not a standalone.

We start off in the second book with the massive cliff hanger we had to endure in the first book. Rya goes through hell dealing with all the weird things that are happening to her. Logan and Jaxon are trying to keep her safe while still still figuring out what is going on between them. Feelings unravel and trust is earned. The relationship between these 3 is chefs kiss. I loved reading Jaxon and Logan finally letting go and embracing the feelings they have for each other and even more so the feelings they have for Rya.

This is the perfect love triangle you have been waiting for. Rya goes through an unimaginable amount of bad things consistently happening to her and having Logan and Jaxon there to support her through it is why I couldn't put this book down. If you want male on male action, love triangle action, male on female action, then this book is for you. The Chemistry and spicy scenes are to die for. I highly recommend this book.

Thoroughly enjoyed Rya, Logan and Jaxon's story. There were a lot of ups and downs but when it comes down to it they were better together than they were separate. I was glad to see growth in each character; Rya admitted to herself that she didn't deserve not only Logan but Jaxon also. I had a major issue with Rya in book 1 for this reason. Now the growth between Logan and Jaxon was chef's kiss. It was evident in book 1 that they didn't get along but it's a thin line between love and hate and these guys got a crash course in that regards big time in this book.

We see Logan, Jaxon and Rya go through so many obstacles which were formed to tear them down but actually served as the catalyst for bringing them together. Secrets, Lies, Frenemies, Betrayal is close at hand and the guys realize that their everything: Rya is in the middle of it all. Rya is the glue that held everything together. Rya, Logan and Jaxon together were spicy but Logan and Jaxon's passion, tension, angst, hatred was a five-alarm fire.

The relationship building between Logan and Jaxon was a tedious journey. Logan never understood why Jaxon loathed him so much and once the truth was revealed they were finally able to see the true potential their relationship could be; not only between them but with Rya as well.

This duet kept you guessing and constantly had you on pins and needles wondering what would happen next, but we all know that anything worth having won't come easy.

This Is Love (All’s Fair Duet, Book 2) by @author_leilajames

Ever wanted a romance that truly goes for it—two stepbrothers, one woman, and a love so big it breaks all the rules? This Is Love is that novel. 🔥

What’s the Vibe?
• Logan & Jaxon: Stepbrothers with deep-rooted conflict, forced to face the secrets and grudges that have driven them apart.
• Rya: The woman torn between these two alpha men—and somehow bringing them closer instead of pushing them further apart.
• MMF: By the end, the relationship cements into an achingly tender, blazing hot triad.

Why You’ll Devour It:
• Emotional Showdown: Logan and Jaxon’s rivalry had me on the edge. The moment they confront old wounds? Chef’s kiss.
• One Woman, Two Men: Rya’s heart is bigger than she ever imagined, and the tension between her and each brother is electric.
• Epic Finale: Being Book 2 of a duet, it satisfies every craving you developed in Book 1—no stone left unturned, no relationship left unresolved.
• Steamy & Soulful: You’ll get scorching chemistry plus the emotional growth that makes it so worth it.

If you’re ready for a bold, boundary-pushing love story that embraces the beauty of an MMF romance—and all the heartbreak, healing, and happiness that comes with it—This Is Love is your next binge-read. After all, these three prove that sometimes, loving more only makes your heart that much fuller. ❤️‍🔥

I absolutely adored this duet! Logan, jaxon , and Rya are such well-written characters, and the spice and group scenes in this book were perfection.

Logan and Jaxson’s development really stood out in this installment. I was eager to see how they would come together and find common ground, and it was so satisfying when they realized they had been blaming the wrong person all along. Their growing closeness throughout the story was beautifully done, and I loved how they consistently supported Rya, no matter what was going on between them.

Rya was such a wonderful match for both of them. She knew how to challenge them in the ways they needed while being unwaveringly loyal and caring, no matter the circumstances. The emotional connection between the three of them, especially in the sweet moments toward the end, was truly touching.

The big reveal of the person causing all the chaos for Rya and the guys was explosive and perfectly executed. It fit so well with the story, and honestly, jealousy is such a destructive force—it played out so well here.

The spice was incredible from beginning to end, and the group scenes was chefs kiss. Jaxon and Logan’s tenderness toward Rya, and even toward each other, added so much heart to the story.

I’m so sad to see this series end, but I’m incredibly excited to see what this author comes up with next. This book, along with the first one, was absolutely amazing!

I am completely obsessed with Jaxon, Logan, and Rya and couldn't wait for this book to come out, and Leila did not disappoint! I took my time savoring this book because I just knew it wouldn't want it to end.

These characters grabbed ahold of me in the first book and didn't let go until the very last word of this second book. To be honest, they'll be with me for a while. I couldn't get enough of them. The way their relationships developed throughout this second book was everything I wanted. The love, the understanding, the clarification of the past, their unwavering devotion to each other, ugh, I was there for it all. As I read this book, I felt like I was right there with the three of them. My anxiety was going through the roof, my heart broke and got mended back together, I cried tears of both sadness and joy with them, but most of all, I loved right along side of them. I absolutely loved this book. Leila did a phenomenal job telling the story of Jaxon, Logan, and Rya. They were complex and interesting characters who you could fall for very quickly. So many times as I was reading, I just wanted to reach into and hug them all. And when they all got together? 🥵🔥

If you love a good enemies-to-lovers/best friends-lovers/ grumpy-sunshine/forbidden love/ why choose kinda book, then you need to read this duet. 5 ✨️ 's doesn't feel like it's enough. Definitely deserving of more. Great job, Leila! Can't wait to see what you come up with next.

This is Love is book 2 in the Evermore university duet. It is an enemies-to-lovers, friends-to-lovers and MMF romance. Book 1 MUST be read before this one. We pick up right where book 1 left off. Something’s happened to Rya which forces Logan and Jaxon to set their differences aside and help Rya find out who’s got a target on her back.

I can always count on Leila James to write rich characters with compelling stories. The path taken by Logan, Rya and Jaxon is not just one of love but vulnerability, trust and understanding. I got emotionally sucked in and loved taking their journey with them. How James writes the developing feelings between Logan and Jaxon is so palpable it oozes off the page. Both are still fighting for Rya’s attention while trying to work out what’s happening between them. I was gripped by the story overall but also by each of the relationships developing between all three.

Leila James writes beautifully tortured souls. Jaxon’s plan to get revenge on Logan comes into question as he’s fighting his feelings for him and it is so delicious how James writes it. My heart goes out to him and his deep hurt from how his father treats him. Ugh I had tears. I just wanted to wrap him in a hug.

And to say the sexy scenes are hot is an understatement. Oh lordy, that woman can write the steam. 🥵 But what I so adore about her storytelling is that emotional connection between the characters is just as important in those scenes as the physical.

'This is Love' is book 2 in the Evermore University series and cannot be read as a standalone and must be read after the first book 'This is War'. We pick this story up exactly where the previous book finished and it takes you on a wild ride to get to the conclusion of this duet which was pure perfection!!! Rya, Jaxon and Logan's characters all definitely develop and change throughout this story and their dynamic's have shifted, especially Jaxon who sees things from a different perspective, in order to let go of the past and pursue a life that makes him happy. Rya certainly has a bit of a hard time in this second book that drives the drama and mystery but the continuing evolution of the love/hate relationship between the stepbrothers, Logan and Jaxon will have you glued to the pages. Some darker elements are contained in this duet and need to be considered, so please check the warnings to make sure this story is for you. This college romance will have you hooked from page one with the tension, drama, angst, suspense, mystery, passion and chemistry between the characters that is off the charts!!! Loved this duet and can't wait to see if we get more from the Evermore University universe.

Amazing conclusion to the All's Fair Duet

I loved this story for the conclusion of Rya, Jackson, and Logan's story. It shows the true strength of what love and perseverance can truly withstand. Rya is faced with some pretty scary stuff throughout the book, but with Logan and Jaxon encouraging her every step of the way, she stands tall and fights for what's hers.

As things start to get more serious for Rya, but in her life, and with her relationship with both Logan and Jaxon the boys are able to see that what they have together is more than taunting and explosive chemistry as well.

"Digging deep, I seek out the one who gives me my calm-Rya."
"My gaze shifts, seeking the one I look to for that extra push. My fire--Jaxon."

For me, these two quotes perfectly describe the pulse of the relationships in this story. The love and the passion. The fire and the beauty. You can truly feel it through Leila's words in every beat of your heart and cell of your body.

If you are a fan of MMF, this is a series for you! It has a little bit of everything! Love Triangle to MMF, enemies-to-lovers, stepbrothers, college baseball, ballet, and mystery thrown in! Leila James is a favorite for a reason, and this series is just another example of why!

Rya, Logan, and Jaxon grew so much from the first book and found the love they were craving as well as helping each other find themselves. Jaxon had so much pent up anger and realized it was misdirected at the wrong people. Rya needed to get out of her own head and learn to communicate. SO MUCH could have been avoided between this trio if they had communicated openly from the get go…but then we wouldn’t have such an amazingly addicting story of compassion, forgiveness, and redemption. Rya was the ultimate connection for Jaxon and Logan and without her, their own relationship never would have come to fruition. The whodunnit suspense tangled into their story brought everything full circle and all the questions from the first book were answered.

I was definitely surprised with the MM dynamic considering how the characters’ personalities were laid out in the first book. The boys were definitely mushier and softer in this book and almost more so than Rya which was also a bit of a surprise. I still enjoyed how the story played out though and the conclusion to All’s Fair Duet was such a beautiful ending to Rya, Logan, and Jaxon.

This Is Love ❤️ All’s Fair Duet ( Evermore University Book 2 ) Ok so it’s literally just about 2 am in the morning as I just finished the conclusion to Logan , Rya’s and Jaxon’s epic love story or should I say emotional rollercoaster ( as it really was equal parts both ) The way I was literally glued to the edge of my seat , the way everything they went through pulled at all my heartstrings well words simply cannot even express. All I can say without giving anything away is that this book / duet has it all - intrigue and suspense, secrets and revelations, love , passion, tragedy, obstacles, mystery, stalking, humor , angst , witty banter , dark , raw , gritty , steamy and heartbreaking as heartfelt moments, family and friendships, a complex storyline and complex relationships, phenomenal world building- simply everything you could ever want in a great love story . And let’s not forget who alphas who are oh so swoony and morally grey ( I mean who doesn’t want all that . Rya really is one luck girl

From start to finish, Rya, Jaxon, and Logan's story had me on the edge of my seat! This Is Love is book two in a duet. You must read This Is War first.

Leila James is an auto read author for me. I fell in love with her writing when I read her BOHH trilogy, and I haven't found anything that even compares to the stories she writes. This book, like all of hers, tells the story with such vivid detail that it's like I'm living what the characters are going through. The emotion that she portrays with just words has me feeling them as if it were real.

I absolutely loved this book and the duet as a whole. I loved the character development we saw with Jaxon. I need someone else yo read this, and then tell me their favorite character was also Jaxon! There was something Something about his battered heart finding a way to love and trust again. “You’re ours, pretty girl. Mine and Logan’s.”

I will say, I was able to guess who the problem was about halfway through the book, I just couldn't figure out the why.

If you plan to read this duet, check trigger warnings first!

Leila James has done it again, and I’m obsessed. This Is Love picks up right where This Is War left off, and let me tell you, I devoured it. The tension? Off the charts. The emotions? Gut-wrenching. The chemistry? Absolutely electric.

Watching Logan and Jaxon finally confront their past while Rya struggles with what and who her heart truly wants had me feeling everything. The way their relationship unfolds is so raw, intense, and so worth the wait. And let’s talk about the spice. 🔥🔥🔥 Just when you think you know where things are going, Leila throws in twists that keep you on your toes.

This duet isn’t just a love triangle. It’s an emotional battlefield that turns into something beautiful, messy, and unforgettable. If you love MMF romance with real depth, angsty tension, and a whole lot of heat, you need this duet in your life. 10/10, no notes, except that I wish I could read it again for the first time.

An epic conclusion to an extraordinary duet. I knew I was going to be unable to put this book down after the cliffhanger Ms. James left us in book one. The suspense of who was after Ry and why had me turning page after page. Add in the relationship between Jaxon and Logan, who are stepbrothers, and then adding Rya into the mix sets the pages on fire.
Their story gave us drama, family dynamics, a friendship that stood the test of time, secrets, angst and chemistry made this conclusion one that had me sitting on the edge of my seat. At the turn of every page there was something that either had my heart beating a mile a minute, needing a cold drink or had my stomach in knots.
Ms. James always delivers stories that are well-written and where you feel a connection to the characters in her books.
Be aware of the trigger warnings that Ms. James has available at the beginning of the book.

Review for the duet

2.5 stars, rounded up

I was really excited for this duet and I waited to read it until both books were released because I was afraid I wouldn't survive the cliffy.
But, I was disappointed in the first book and actually considered not continuing with the second.
To be clear, there is nothing wrong with the plot. Well, nothing that couldn't be overlooked.

It's the fmc, Rya, that spoils the whole thing. She is annoying, tstl really. And she makes everything about her. At one point she is hurtful to one mmc for not telling her something personal while she doesn't even linger on the fact that other mmc purposely mislead and hurt both of them. All in all, the fmc was made to be a very unlikeable character.

I don't read mm without it being an mmf romance but honestly, I would have been fine reading just the guys without the fmc.

Stars rounded up thanks only to the mmc's

Absolutely Loved this duet.

Logan,Jaxson and Rya are just such good characters and the spice and group scenes in this book are just chefs kiss.

Logan and Jaxson definitely develop more in this book I was excited to see how they’d get together and actually make peace. They finally released they had the blame on the wrong person the whole time. I loved how they’d got closer throughout the whole book and how they both were there for Rya know matter what was going on with them.

Rya I think was such a great person for them both she helped them in a way they need to be pushed as was there regardless of what was happening between ether of them. It was a sweet moment towards the end between all three of them.

The person who was doing all the crap to Rya and the guys was finally revealed and in a big way. It was fitting in the way it was done I loved it. Jealousy is a bitch ya know.

The spice in this book was awesome and the group scenes are chefs kiss from start to finish. Jaxson and Logan were the sweetest to Rya and to each other.

I’m sad it’s over but I can’t wait to see what’s next with the author as well.

This book was just amazing and book one was amazing as well.

All's Fair Duet concludes with This Is Love and it was a beautiful story. While Jaxon struggles with his feelings both Rya and Logan, they norh knowcwhat tgey want. When Jaxon finds out what he believed was all lies and he starts to see Logan in a different light and slowly let's his walls down. Rya has a hard time figuring out how things will work all while enduring sabotage from someone wanting to harm her. Jaxon and Logan will do whatever they need to protect her. And to find out who is behind the attack and their reasoning is a bit shocking. In the end they all get the HEA they deserve.

This was another amazing story written by Leila and I loved that Kingston University reference.

It’s no secret that I’ve been jonesing for this book ever since I reached the end of This is War, so of course I read this as soon as I could get my hands on it. And y’all…it did NOT disappoint. I loved the character growth that we get from Jaxon and the relationship growth between him, Logan, and Rya.

The amount of shit that Rya was put through in this book, had me feeling for her. And when we found out who was behind all of it, I felt total vindication because I had my suspicions for awhile.

This story was so great and the spice was immaculate. Just make sure that you have a cold glass of water and fan to help keep you cool while reading, because you’re going to need it. 🥵

I’m sad to say goodbye to these characters and this world but I’m excited to see what Leila is going to give us next.

Picking up right where we left off, Jaxon and Logan are left reeling after Rya's attack. Now, they must put aside their differences to support and protect her. Rya is in danger, and it feels like she's not safe anywhere except with Logan and Jaxon. What happens when she finally figures out there's more than animosity between those two?

I got hooked. I have no idea how Leila James does it, but it's like all her stories are addictive. I kept trying to pace myself and not binge read. Did it work out? Not really. I was doing good and then bam. The next thing I know, I'm up way too late reading.

Now, I will say there were moments where I wanted to reach into the book and shake Rya. Girl, someone is out to get you don't be so trusting. Logan and Jaxon are explosive together. When Rya gets added to the mix? 🥵🌶. This duet definitely delivered on the spice, drama, and danger.

This book was SO GOOD! It was an absolutely PERFECT conclusion to the duet.

Rya, Logan, and Jaxon are such comolex characters, but their connections are incredibly strong. I thoroughly enjoyed how they worked through their feelings and came to rely on each other (even when they didn't realize it yet).

Tropes:

🔥 Stepbrother Romance
🔥 Enemies to Lovers
🔥 Bi-awakening
🔥 Bully Romance
🔥 College Setting
🔥 MMF
🔥 Angst Fest (so good!)

If these tropes peak your interest you'll love this book. (Definitely recommend reading book 1 first!) I was so emotionally invested in the story and the characters.

Another easy 5* rating for Leila. I highly recommend this duet. Love, love, LOVED it.

What an amazing end to this duet!!!

Once again Leila had me hooked from the first page to find out how this one would come to a conclusion.

I loved the relationship these 3 had when they finally relaxed and let love just be.

Jaxon - Logan & Rya are the perfect group for one another in different ways each bringing something the other was missing.

I loved Jax so much the dark brooding stepbrother who was finding himself and the love he didn’t know he wanted.

Logan was so sure of what he wanted but also took it slow.

And Rya she was a lucky girl to have the sweet guy and the bad boy wanting her. She definitely got the best of both of these men.

I loved the way this one wrapped up and finding out who’s been messing with Rya.

This was the continuation of Rya’s story. She was best friends with Logan. They have known each other for a long time. At the beginning of the book they were at a frat party Logan, Jaxon, Rya and Hazel. Hazel was Rya’s roommate. Rya and Hazel were paired up for a challenge. Logan and Jaxon were as well. Logan and Jaxon knew each other before college because Jaxon’s dad married Logan’s mom. After that night a lot of realizations were made. Rya got hurt she had a big gash on her head and she was unresponsive. The guys called the paramedics. She turned out to be okay but a lot of things kept happening and she didn’t know what to do. Rya and Hazel were both dancers. Leila wrote another amazing book.

Who Hurt You?

This is Love is the second book in the Evermore University series. The books must be read in order for maximum enjoyment.

This book picks up at the cliffy from This Is War.

Rya, Logan, and Jaxon continue to explore their feelings for each other and as a group. I loved the interplay between the guys. They showed real character growth and a devotion to their girl.

With all the challenges thrown at Rya, she really shines in this duet. I loved her confidence to go for what she wanted both in school and in life.
