In this 2nd installment, the action and chaos are all around. But there are also calm moments, where there is room for emotions and thoughts. This creates the right amount of depth and makes it so enjoyable to read.

Maisie is growing into a very strong female lead, but she also shows her own fragility.

While the world is torn in chaos and the Zombies are everywhere, will there be room for such a thing as love?

Thoughtful and touching 2nd book. This series is getting better and better!.

I did enjoy the second part in this series, a good balanced zombie adventure, welll written, good ideas with high tension at moments & explosive action at others! Some parts are a little slow but this only helps to lift the more exciting prts! A good fun read!

Great slice of new universe told from viewpoint of colonists who encounter hostile aliens. Good characters. Reader left with same questions as colonists as to origin and motivations of aliens.
