About the author

Dutch writer of Children's books. As a child, Tosca wanted to be a doctor and play the piano, but instead she went to the Arts Academy in Amsterdam. She became a teacher of Art and History of Art at a high school in Amsterdam. She remained a teacher for 13 years and started a family. She has 3 children: two girls and one boy.

Then she decided to become a writer. Not surprising, because ever since she was little she has been writing stories. She wanted to publish a book before 2000 and only just succeeded in 1999.

She became a known writer with her books about Dummie the Mummie which have been translated in many languages. Nowadays she tries to write two books a year. Furthermore, she visits many schools and libraries. Now and then she has a theatre show with songs of her own.
