The Lord has given us angels to watch and guard us. They keep us safe, bring us to places we need to go, and bring things we need. They obey God’s Orders and we can tell them to do things that match with God’s plan. There are many kinds of angels too.

Worthwhile topic

Writing a book for children about the ministry of angels is a really wonderful idea, as there are many myths about angels and the roles that they perform. Angels perform important functions and I commend the author for choosing to write about them. I like the fact that the author introduces us to the functions of angels in the Bible, for instance, that they protect us, and that we can command them to help us in accordance with God’s will. I also really like the inclusion at the end of the prayers for salvation and baptism in the Holy Spirit.

However, there are some inaccuracies in the book. Many of the biblical references don’t support the propositions made. The references to Elohim angels and to angels having wings are not biblical. Principalities are demons and not angels. Some names ascribed to Michael (eg The Lord of Hosts) are actually the names of God. Finally, many of the angels referred to are not found in the Christian Bible. Thankfully, however, the book does not perpetuate the myth that when we die, we turn into angels.

Angels truly are God’s Masterpiece

As a Christian mom, Angela by Chelsea Kong touched my heart deeply. I’ve always prayed the “Angel of God, my guardian dear” prayer over my children, asking for God’s angels to watch over them and protect them. This book beautifully reminded me that angels truly are God’s messengers, sent to guide, comfort, and protect us.

Chelsea Kong presents the role of angels in such a clear and relatable way, making it accessible all ages while still being profound for readers of any age. The book reminds me that angels have specific tasks—messengers, protectors, and guides who work according to God’s will. This portrayal of divine guardianship is comforting to me as a mother and as a believer.

Reading Angela felt like a gentle reminder of God’s presence through His angels. It reassured me that no matter the challenges, His angels are always near, helping us stay aligned with His plan. I highly recommend this book to Christian families and anyone seeking a reminder of God’s loving protection through His angels.

A Beautiful Look into the World of Angels

This was an inspirational and opening read in the world of angels, giving one insight and further understanding of their role as guardians, messengers, and guides in God's plans. The clear explanations and biblical insights made it easy to follow, with illustrations that brought it all to life.

What I really loved was how the book ended with prayers. It felt personal and comforting, like a gentle reminder of God’s presence through His angels. It left me feeling uplifted and more connected to my faith. I’d recommend it to anyone curious about angels or looking for a spiritual boost.

Beautiful and filled with info

I was surprised at how much real information about angels was in this book. The colorful illistrations are of course not real images but they were well done and fit the description perfectly. This book is perfect for middle school and older. Would make an excellant present.

Amazing Angels

Loved this book! I havent read a book this detailed about angels. The interesting facts and divine roles of many of the angels was enlighening. I also loved the bible chapters listed so I could go and read more in detail about them. Angels are part of history and a part of our everyday lives, with this book we can see just how much. Highly recommend!

Interesting Book

The art/illustrations look to be computer generated which isn't too my liking. The text looks like basic information gleaned from a website on angels.
I got it on KU, so I found it interesting to peruse
Had I paid the asking price I'd be less than thrilled.
That said, it should appeal to a certain ultra-religious demographic.

This book is so beautifully written and illustrated each page is so we'll put together. I felt I was learning something I knew absolutely nothing about while being in awe of the artwork. I read this twice just to take it all in. What a talented writer and teacher ms kong is. I will definitely be reading more of her work.
