They either run as fast as they can when they find out I have a child, or they think I'm desperate. For a man. For sex.
Are you?
Hell, yes, I'm desperate. I haven't had sex in three years.
Is that true?
Getting involved with a single mother is not a good idea. Especially since he knows she's looking for a husband and father for her two-year-old son. But what he doesn't know is that he's the father. And she just can't seem to find the right time to tell him.
When you can't stand the heroine it's not good she annoyed me to no end so selfish not telling Jack immediately and using an excuse so lame that I was screaming at my kindle side characters that were so not important or relevant I really can't believe I kept reading it took me days to finish
I don't read many romances because I find there are very few "new" plots. Having said that, this was kind of predictable, but, I couldn't put it down. In fact, read it in one day (into the night) and really enjoyed it. A bit of a twist in that there was a child and the threat of it being taken, none of which got too hairy, but for some reason, it had my attention the whole time. I'll need to try another one by this author.
Loved this book! A friend recommended this book to me and I am so glad she did! I enjoyed it from the start to the finish. This book was refreshing and engaging and I will definitely be reading more books by this author.
Just started reading Ms. Smiths books--Very enjoyable, hard to putdown if you want a nice easy read- Would recommend her books to anyone who wants to get away from it all!
A "Bittersweet Bed" - a love story that will keep you up half the night. It did me! By Ellen P. Stucker on September 29, 2015 Format: Kindle Edition Elizabeth Smith is just so darn good at characterization! I read "Nobody's Baby" first so I knew this was a great recommendation for this novel. Cammie is a woman at the crossroads of life: hoping to find a husband/father for her young son but still pining for his actual father, a one-night stand. Jack, the baby's father, remembers Cammie well enough to seek her out again, as soon as he lands back in her corner of the world. Their reconnect and subsequent friendship, then love--with all the ups and downs of typical relationships is so interesting and well done, it is difficult to lay this one aside. Another five star read from this author you won't want to miss if you enjoy romance novels written with unique twists and plenty of drama and heart. I was given a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
it was a good read & not bad. this book is about being parent after only one night. Jack was upfront promising or warning the one night he didn't come to her carelessly, he met her choose her and liked her. His life was complicated and tormented. As for the result of their night came a little boy who never had met his father. Till the day he came back and gave a shelter to the mum and her son without knowing the truth. It was a battle for him to acknowledge and giving in after his experience. reading this book was pleasant because it was short and easy to read without earthquake drama.
I enjoyed this book! The hero is a nice guy, who has just escaped a bad marriage. He meets a younger woman and she thinks she can handle a casual encounter with him. Of course, he is extremely attractive, and she can't stop thinking about him! Both characters make their mistakes. There were times I wanted to cheer for her, and choke him, and times I wanted her to "man up" and tell him the truth. There is a good balance of romance and humor. The story is sweet, and is a fast read.
Oh My Gosh, I LOVE this book! I read it from cover to cover in 24 hours! I could not put it down. I will read Nobody's Baby by this same author next. I want to read every book she has written. Elizabeth Smith is an excellent author. You fall in love with her characters and find yourself feeling like you know them and want to be a part of their lives. EXCELLENT writing!
Awesome book and it would be a great beach read!!! It's a wonderful romance novel with real-life twists and turns. At different times through the book, I found myself "rooting" for one character and another time "rooting" for another character. The author does a great job guiding the characters through hard decisions! I will definitely read more books by this author.
